Ep890 Chaos Management
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
When you decide to change directions, the hardest part isn't making the decision—it’s surviving the transition.
A strategic pivot sounds clean on paper, but the reality is messy. It’s a period of intense friction where you are forced to manage the compounding demands of your current responsibilities while pouring your remaining energy into building something new. If you don't have a system to manage that chaos, exhaustion takes over, and your momentum stalls before you ever reach the other side.
In this episode, we unpack the exact operational frameworks and psychological strategies needed to navigate the "messy middle" of a major shift without hitting a wall of total burnout.
Yo, it's Shammaine Man Rahing. Ross yeah. Man, strategic shift will not kill you. It will only help you. You feel me? In today's world, man, we go through life thinking that we gotta hop off any cliff. No plan, no type of projection, no agenda, no nothing. We feel like we just gonna go through it and God gonna bless us. We ain't think about it, we ain't planning, we ain't did nothing. We just hoping that it comes. We hoping we can go to the store and just grab a damn ticket and it and it just comes, right? That's the most, that's the that's the um most natural mindset for a person in today's world in my in my perspective. They feel like they don't got a plan. They feel like they can just work and some shit gonna work. Like they don't think about the the damn the strategicness that it comes into and what you need to um make yourself a better person. You feel me? Like when you doing something, man, it's taking a blind leaf of flake, a blind leap that feels like just free-falling sometimes to people, you feel me? But they don't know that you gotta build your parachute on the way down. You feel me? They don't know that you gotta build your damn momentum on the way down and how to how you gonna land. You feel me? Sometimes you gotta jump. Sometimes you gotta hop in on to see, okay, if I can land like this, I'm good. Oh, I can do I oh I can land in this water, I'm scraped. You feel me? But if you don't, if you don't take that pivot to know where you gonna goddamn and go and land, you're not gonna be the man. You're not gonna plan. You're not gonna, you're not gonna crack, you're not gonna have that damn scene, that framework loop, that feedback loop, you feel me? So today, we're gonna get into the key metrics, right? The micro indicators and the velocity rule, you feel me? Like early traffic, initial client discovery calls, or email spanners, like knowing, okay, what's the feedback loop of this? If your feedback loop takes three months to give you an answer, the pivot is already dead. Certain type of two, seven to fourteen days, you feel me? So you want feedback immediately. You feel me? Like once you look at yourself, you first need to set up a strict feedback loop. You can't rely on just good feelings. You need to know if your new direction is working. You need data, you need it fast. You feel me? You can't just be sitting there doing this shit every damn week and you don't know what this kind of what is feeding your life. What kind of data is this? This this ain't good data. Would you be here tomorrow? If you had to thought it, would you come here tomorrow? Well, you need to get the fuck up out of here. You feel me? Like this ain't your place for you. This ain't the place that for you to be trying to build and and um make sure your shit is alright. You feel me? You don't have to adapt to everything, you feel me? The first thing you do is what hypotenuse. What how how could this job treat me? Or how would this playmate treat me? Okay, you get there, you think about it, you already thought about it first. Okay, now we get there now, it's time to test the hypotenuse. Okay, this job just paid me this much. If it don't pay you this much, oh, it's time to get up out of it, you feel me? Like once you see you done gave your test, okay, then let me measure this shit this time, this end of the month. No, hell not. End of y'all be making nothing, you feel me? So if you see that, go ahead, it's time to get up out of there. But if you like it, it's time to what adapt. The thing is hypotenuse, you test it, then you measure it, then you adapt to it. But if you don't, if it's not meant to be adapted to, guess what? You can do cut the measuring tape, and no, I'm not adapting to this. I'm not finna adapt to no bullshit. So that's how you do that, you feel me? If data says it's not working, don't take it personal. This is just a variable, not your ambition. You feel me? Just the number. Like, no, I need to go somewhere where the numbers are better. These numbers not good enough for my mind. These numbers not good enough for my position that I'm in right now. So once you know the numbers not good, guess what you do? You set up a what? Framework two, the hard floors. You feel me? Like once you got the hard flow, the second you you let the contingency plan, you need to define your hard fluids start. I mean, your hard flow is before you start. That this is the exact point where you agree to pivot the pivot or dip into a backup fund. And what that means is you run away, you you your runaway hits a specific dollar amount. Um, action trigger, activate the buildup fund or secure the the bridge revenue. The timeline floor is the bes hit a specific date without hitting a a phase one milestone. Pause under the strategy and shift the triggers.
unknownRight?
SPEAKER_00The financial floor is like, what do you need for three months worth of expenses? You feel me? Activate the backup fund and secure the bridge revenue. You feel me? If you see that you can activate this bitch from this flow from this job, go ahead and do it. Sometimes yo, you can't activate some shit from this. This shit no, this is not gonna, this is not enough. You feel me? Like when you're trying to hit a specific date, like doing some shit, it need to be look like you actually doing this. It look like you're not working, you're not working. You like you only you got one job, you know you need two or three for the equal up to this one job, it's time to leave these two alone just to keep that one. You feel me? So let's look at this shit, man. Knowing that your floor keeps a panic at bay, it transformed chaos into a controlled experiment. You feel me? Knowing that, okay, I know what's going on. I know if I stay here, this is what's gonna happen. I know this, you feel me? You can see this shit. God gave us telescope brains. We can see down the road. We can see before some shit happens. You feel me? We can see this shit before it's happening. So the last frame is main, the framework three, right? Once I know I'm defeating the burnout, to not be burnt out, a simple balance scale graphic on one side label full-time demands, and other side independent growth. Finally, you have to do it. You how do you balance the full-time demands with an independent growth access without hitting a wall of total exhaustion? You don't do it by working 18 hours a day, you do it by protecting your energy capacity. You feel me? You don't give a fuck how long you're working, but if you don't got enough energy to do what you need to do, bro, it's over the 90-minute focus block. Dedicate your highest energy, 90 minutes of the day to the pivot of you before giving your energy to anyone else. Like, this is my highest point of the day. After I get to do this part today, I'm really gonna be tired. My brain is gonna be fried. I'm gonna I'm gonna want to nap. You feel me? Because this is the highest. I'm really burning a lot of cattle just sitting here thinking and trying to talk to y'all. You feel me? But it's what I like to do. So guess what? It's it's it's no mine, but my brain still is using the energy. You feel me? My brain still gotta go through that phase. So my brain goes through that phase. I know it's happy. I I know it's you know, it's it's enlightened, but I that's why I got what strict boundaries treat yourself, treat your asset growth like a strict, non-negotiable claim. If it's not scheduled, it doesn't exist. Like if I didn't schedule this morning, I would not get up and do this. You feel me? But I already did this, though. I what defeated the burnout. I already said, look, I'm doing this tomorrow. I'm recording three, I'm recording four, I'm I'm gonna go ahead and get this out the way. You feel me? So the more I defeat the burnout, the better I feel, the better I look. So let me get up, let me beat to word to what the fuck is going on. Look, like let me manage the chaos. Like if you can't manage the chaos, it's gonna be harder for you to think. It's gonna be harder for you to do. If you can't write down, if you can't see yourself outperforming these things, you can't outperform them because you can't even see it. But once you can see yourself outperforming, you're gonna outperform it. You feel me? Like return to the main presenter or a strong closing brand graphic. Choose chaos. Chaos is invaluable during a shift, but drowning is an optional. Build your lobes, define your flaws, and protect your time. You feel me? And if you want to, man, drop a comment below, man. Like, what's the biggest risk you you manage you are managing me right now? You feel me? Let's talk about it. Like, whatever risk you got, like let me like let me hear you. I want it like the biggest risk I got right now, y'all, is me trying to um pivot to a new and better job position. You feel me? That's the biggest pivot I got. I just quit one job because I said, no, this job is not it's it's not gonna take me to where I need to go to. You feel me? I can do this, I can make this amount of money in one day with an with the job that I already have, right? So I tried to do two jobs, but they that one job was taken away from my my other my other main job. You feel me? Because it was taking so much of my time, but paying me so less. You feel me? The more if I would have got any more money, it would have been three, four years down the line before I got a raise or some type of promotion. You feel me? So I said, no, it's it's not worth my time being here. Let me go use my other full-time job and let this part-time job go. You feel me? It was a full-time, part-time job because it was paying me the part other job supposed to be a part-time job, but I can give my money in that job in one day. I can get my check in one day from the job that I can make in one week. I went from a uh from uh a thousand dollars a week to three hundred dollars a week. Hell no, Raheem. This is not gonna get it. $15 an album is not, I thought I could make me $2,400 a month extra. But no, Rain, I'm taking this job is taking all of my time. So I can't even balance those two. I can't make the four over here and make the I was making then that six thousand, make six thousand. But nah, it's gonna make me make three thousand because this job is is is so time consuming. It's so, it's so um, it's so much, it's so it's it's needed of my time almost all day. And that's and once I get out of that job, I promise you, I was tired. Y'all see y'all make my video last week, late as fuck, seven o'clock in the evening, eight o'clock in the evening. You feel me? Just it's too late. You feel me? And it just threw me off. If something's gonna throw you off, make sure it's throwing you off for a reason. Make sure it's throwing you off to help you. And what we say, everything is not for a long time. I'm not, this is not me getting up every day in the morning, every day is not for a lifetime. I say, right now, the job, perfect scale to get up at 63, 6'6, 62, 63. You feel me? Someday 6 to 12, someday 6 to like they fuck me up on this weekend. They just want you to go in there and main some shit. They go in for two hours on the weekends from 6 a.m., 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. or 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. for Saturday and Sunday. Like y'all niggas work too much and pay too less. No. This is for the people who've been here for a long time. You feel me? So I had to give myself about this situation before I would end up being broker than I already was. You feel me? Because sometimes you can make yourself broke and stand on the same. That's why I sit right here, oh hell no. Once I see myself make getting a little broke, it's time to get out of there because I get all the way broke, because it's not gonna take long for me to keep needing the money that I not then I'm used to getting paid every day versus me getting paid every two weeks. You feel me? I was you feel me, I had to, it was too much adjusting going on, and I don't got the time to adjust to nothing that's that's not really helping me. You feel me? Not this is not not even I can't even pay my bills for $1,500 a month. You feel me? They give me three, my chick was like $340, $350. Man, it's taxes. I'm like, and I work 40 hours. Damn, I ain't see my check stuff. I didn't even want to see the check stuff because I don't even want to even nah fuck it. Let me get up out of here because what I thought I was gonna get at least $500 minimum. You feel me? 15 times 40 hours is $600. Let's take taxes out. You feel me? $120. That's five something still. Four 480 still. Where the hell? 350. Nah, I'm gonna get the fuck up out of here. You feel me? And they don't, I think they was trying to play me because it's one of those jobs where you go to and they don't at least let me start working. Like the first day he's like, You ready to work right now? Like, hell no, I'm gonna work tomorrow. Nigga wanted to have me on the spot, on the spot. I ain't filled no application, I ain't fill out nothing. He just like, you ready to work? Let's work. Damn, I should have known then it's one of them jobs, but everybody the job is what convict mode, everybody the job they've been in jail for 10, 20 years, robbery, stealing, killing. Everybody been here for a long time. So it's a lot of old heads here. These people love this job. These people, you know, church the job. Let me get out of y'all's way. I don't want you to make you feel like I'm not doing, I came there to do a job, but I feel like if if I can't do it and be happy, I don't I don't want to do it. If I can't do it and and it benefits me, I don't want to do it. You feel me? It the job had no benefits in in my favor, none. And when it has no benefits, man, it's time to go, especially when you can benefit yourself way better somewhere else, you feel me? So have you plan to um deliver, man, whatever you're trying to deliver, man, make sure that it's it's it's it's it's steady. You feel me? Make sure that it's something that you that's really heavy and it's and and that's not hurting you because you can easily just do some shit that for nothing and be and be um and be um mad about it. You can easily just be there forever and tell me they don't pay you enough. Why you still there? You feel me? Why you still doing it? You understand me? So once you know that you're not on the right bus or the right train or the right plane, you finna fly all the way to another country where you don't know what it's like this the same thing with a job. You know the job is not helping you, it's not benefiting you. You know you're stressed out, you know these people here are really don't want you here. You know you're really competing with the with these type of people and they don't like these type of people. Why are you still sitting there trying to compete with a person in a job that's everybody's supposed to be on the same team? You feel me? We all supposed to be on the same goddamn um same alignment around this bitch. But you compete with me, you trying to get me out the door, I'm trying to get him out the door. Everybody, like, once I feel that competitiveness in a job, oh hell nah. This ain't even worth it. No, I'm finna go. You feel my season y'all paying enough? I'm I'll pay to play. But you gotta pay me to play. You're not finna pay me. I'm not, you're not finna play me. Feel me? So that's how you gotta use a job if a job is only using you and you're not using it. Time to go. It's like a being in a relationship. You like terrible, but but they don't like you. It's time to get on down. You're in the wrong relationship, you're on the wrong plane, you're in the wrong destination, man. So let's get this direction changed this week, man. If anything I told y'all about this week, man, I know you can change directions now. I know you're ready for it. Go listen to these five videos. Go listen to these last five videos that I posted this week and think about direction. And am I traveling on the right road? And if I'm not, I'm getting off it. This just that's simple, man. Y'all stop playing all the time, y'all stop playing with y'all life, man. If I ain't going down the right road, let me get on the right road, man. Fuck how, fuck how I gotta go. Fuck this job title, fuck this money, fuck everything that don't help me. And once I feel like that, I should be gone. I should not be here complaining. I should not be here. You know when people get them jobs complaining and fucking up these folks' money because they don't want to be here. Don't be one of those people. You feel me? Be one of the people who there because they doing a job that they don't mind doing and they're getting paid something they don't mind getting paid. You feel me? And it's that simple, man. Y'all stop playing your time, y'all stop playing your life, man. Get a less go.
