In this episode, we’re stopping the quick fixes and band-aid solutions. We are breaking down the difference between the visible symptoms of your struggles (like procrastination, boundary issues, and chronic fatigue) and the hidden root causes driving them.
Yo, it's your main man Rahin Rossiel, man. If you've been treating just the outside, but not the inside, you've been treating the tree, but not the root of the tree, man, you in the right place, man. This video is for you, man. Today I'm finna get into how to stop just treating symptoms. You feel me? Like, you know how they go to take you to the doctor, they want to keep you what? On the pill. They want to keep you on the medicine. They want to give you, they want to treat the symptom, but they don't want to cure it. You feel me? Because if they cure it, what's what's gonna happen? You ain't coming back. You dig? And that's with everything in life, man. Sometimes when you are just study treating the things that don't matter, the things that really do matter are getting overlooked. They're getting overpowered. They're getting overshadowed. So now you just really walking backwards. Now you really just making no progress. You feel me? Because you study treating the things that don't matter, man. Today I'm gonna talk about a couple things that you can go on and you can use. You feel me? A couple food for thoughts. You dig? Some stuff that you can use just to think about on a daily basis. You dig? And today on I got some bonuses today, you feel me? I'm gonna give y'all some verses that gon that's gonna put you like, oh yeah. I like that one. You feel me? Like you gonna you gonna like that one. You feel me? So stay to the end, man. Y'all like, subscribe, man. Tell a friend, man. Y'all come on get this motivation. So let's get straight to it, man. The first thing is we gotta have honest feedback. You feel me? Honest feedback. Honest feedback. Like, that's the first thing when you're trying to start treating the real damn problem. You gotta be honest with yourself. You feel me? You gotta have that place in your heart where you know, hey, what I'm telling myself now, this is the real reason. This is why I'm not doing this for real. You dig? Like it need to be a real pertinent reason. And they got like it's a thing you can do. And you can ask yourself why five times. Like, say what's the what's going on and ask yourself why? Why, why, why, why? And you give yourself five different reasons, you dig? And you come down to a conclusion of really what's going on, and and knowing that if you could do this, you really can do this, you really can fix the problem. You feel me? Just asking yourself that simple question of why, like, what's really going on? Why would I do this? Why would I put myself in this position? Why would I why would I do this thing? You feel me? Like, that's how you diagnose something, right? Like diagnosing things is is gonna require a lot of you thinking things through. You feel me? Writing things down, and once you give yourself that honest feedback, now you would have identified your target. Now things are really in a clear perspective of uh oh, I can do this now. You dig I can handle this in this way. You dig? If I can't go this way, I can go this way. Like you can handle yourself, you can picture yourself in a better time frame instead of just saying you can't. You feel me? You can't, you can't. You feel me? It's the difference between you can't and you really can't. I'm saying that. So curing the cause just struggles rather than just managing the system, it requires moving past that behavior modification and digging into your underlying triggers. Like what triggers this? You feel me? You only treat the symptoms, you exhaust your willpower. You feel me? You're gonna get tired of that shit. You're gonna get tired of taking that medicine, you're gonna get tired of taking it that damn same trip over and over to go do that thing that you know is what deterring you from a better life, deterring you from things that are trying to help you grow. You feel me? Like you fight, you study fighting it, knowing that if I just stop eating this, I'll be good. You feel me? You stop going over there, knowing if I stop going over there, I can be doing something else with my time. You feel me? Like, it's a lot of things that you can do with your time. So keeping it on surface level is gonna help you to not burn out. You feel me? Because procrastination is a visible symptom. Once you procrastinating, this is something visible. Be honest with yourself. And my procrastinate. You dig? You know you're gonna burn out if you procrastinate. You feel me like this is because what's the root cause of this? Because you wanna you think you're gonna fail. You goddamn it don't have the clear of next steps. Or you're trying to be perfect, like, man, fuck all that being perfect. This gets to work, right? And the next step is, man, we're gonna have to go give ourselves a protocol, right? This is a three-step protocol. Like, once we look at something, it can like everything got a protocol to it. Once we know, okay, this is what I'm gonna do when this happens, this is what I'm gonna do when this happened. You feel me? Like, once you force yourself into that, you are you gonna be lit, right? And that first one, the one I just went over, right? The why. The five whys. Just give yourself that. And after you give yourself that, man, you had a ruthless audit of your environment. Like, what's feeding your environment? What's feeding your mind on a regular basis? Who are you allowing to talk to? Like, like who are you, like what are what where's all your time going? You feel me? Like, what are you putting all your time into? Once you know this, you can what move better. You feel me? Like, you can block out boundaries of non-negotiables in execution windows on your calendar, right? You can label that off. Like label them as private like commitments. Like, if you can't do something, like put yourself on punishment. Like, go ahead and be strict on yourself. You feel me? Be what? Easy on others, but strict on self. Like, always be strict on self. If I can't do something, I know how to say, all right, you ain't finna get it at all, Raheem. It's over with. You feel me? You done pissed me off for the day. You doing dumb shit. Like, I know how to talk to myself in that in that manner if I need to. You dig? I know how to say, nah, I'm not. It's over it. Or I'm not doing something. You dig? You know how you gotta know how to turn that switch on and off when it needed. You dig? And once you look at yourself like that, you ain't worried about um not having a good tree growing. You feel me? You ain't worried about your fruit not growing like you need it because you putting out good fruit. You feel me? You bearing good fruit, right? So shift yourself from that, man. Shift yourself from that, man. For real. And step three is shift from a symptom of fighting to anchoring the I mean to identifying the anchor. Like they had stated this in the biblical terms, right? It says, as in the biblical proverb states, above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. You feel me? So guard your heart. Your heart is your mind, right? Your heart is your like how you feel, right? So this is in practical sense, your heart is your core identity. Like this how you know, this is what you do. People see, you know, what you're doing, right? And if you view yourself as a worker trying to escape, you will act like a tired worker. If you anchor your identity in the vision of a platform or a future, you are building, you your daily actions shift from an obligation to a necessity. So in this verse, it's just saying, like, above all else, like guard your root. You feel me? Guard the base. You feel me? Like, be you. Understand me? And you should be a good person. Like, and this, and this everybody, you feel me? Like, stop fighting the symptom because the root identifies, our root identity has completely changed. Like, once you change for real, bro, you ain't you ain't on certain stuff. You don't care about certain things. And let's get to the last one, right? This is gonna be the bonus right here. The bonus with these Bible verses, y'all. Let's get into these verses, man. Okay, this is the the first one was Luke 6, 43 through 45. No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. Each tree is reorganized by I mean, yeah, reorganized by his own fruit. A good man brings good things out of a good stored up his out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the what the heart is full of. So that one like that one was a cold one, like just even thinking about like, okay, for the mouth speaks what the heart is full of, so you say what you feel. You feel me? You say joyous things because you feel joyous things. You feel me like the heart, like the same is the core, it's everything. People see that. People see how you you know what you do, what you give, you feel me, how you act, how you interact, how you communicate, you feel me? And it's a part of your fruit, you dig. So knowing is the root concept, trying to force yourself to produce good fruit without changing the state of your heart is fruitile. You feel me? So acting like you changed and acting like you this way, like man, just do it every day. Just be it. Just be it. Don't think about it, just be it. You feel me? Like you think you're a good person, act like a good person. That's it. You thinking like one, you acting like one. You thinking like a bad person, you acting like a bad person. You feel me? It's all it goes hand in hand. You feel me? You think a dumb shit, dumb shit gonna come out your mouth. Like it's it's just simple. You feel me? Like, once you get out of that behavior, uh, and in that in that perspective, you won't be so quick to try to just not fake it. You feel me? Like faking it. Like you making yourself, you giving yourself damn anxiety, right? And next one is Matthew 3 to 10. The axe is already at the root of the tree, and every tree that that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire. So this this one's a hard one. This one basically what it said to me was if you ain't producing good fruit, you're gonna eventually die off anyway, quicker. You feel me? Like he said, the axe is already at the root of the trees. The axe already right there at the root. You feel me? So it's ready to chop off every tree that does not produce good fruit, will be cut down and thrown into the fire. So with that concept, it's saying, like, damn. Like, nigga, if you ain't producing good fruit, bro, you're gonna you're gonna be thrown to the wolves, bro. You need to go get your shit together. That's what it's saying to me. You need to go get your shit together. You will be thrown to the wayside if you are not producing good fruit. That's what in there, and that's cool. You feel me? You ain't doing shit, man. You get thrown to the wayside easily. Like, it's like you're not using your body, you're not using your mind. So, why are you here? You feel me? You don't even want to be here. You feel me? You're not communicating, you're not trying to help society, you're not trying to help nobody. You feel me? So you will be thrown to the side, man. And and I don't I don't feel nothing wrong with that. Then they say on this one, the the root concept, John the Baptist emphasizes the radical transformation here. He doesn't advocate for trimming a bad branch or modifying the appearance of the tree. He states that the judgment and correction goes straight to the root to deal with the problem entirely. So that's how they're looking at it, but I'm looking at it different. You feel me? So everybody's eyes got different, they got different, you know, we got different eye sights, our brain sights are different. So the foundation, right? Let me tell you another one. This is um Luke 6 through 7. The two builders, as for everyone who comes to me and hears my word and puts them into practice, they are like a man building a house who dug down deep and laid the foundation on a rock, on rock. When a when a flood came, the torment struck the house but could not shake it because it was well built. But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice, like the man who who has built a house on the ground without a foundation. You feel me? So the root that so this one here is like this one is deep. I like this one because this is what I've been thinking, this is what I've been like, this is the statement of me in my life, like in my life right now, the foundation. Like, I gotta get my foundation right. My foundation, you know, is cool, but I gotta get I gotta get it stronger. I gotta get it, you know, built, you know, like I'm getting stronger physically. I gotta get my foundation stronger mentally, I gotta get my base stronger mentally, right? So this is saying that this man, like when the storm came, look at this house went finna move. This house is glued. This house is on rock. You feel me? This house is death. You understand me? So once you know what's going on with your house, you know what's going on with your mental and your mindset, man. You need to start moving on that ASAP. You need to start moving on that ASAP. You feel me? Like, once you put yourself in that perspective to move on the things that you gotta move on, and and make sure that that that you are practicing. Lisa, for everyone who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice, they are like a man building a house who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. You feel me? So once you practice God's word every day, all day. You feel me? Like, I got my Bible right here. So y'all my Bible, man. My mama bought me this. I told her, give me the most expensive Bible you see, mama. Give me, I want that hundred dollar Bible. You feel me? Give me that, give me that $500 Bible. You understand me? You know, I can see I'm gonna keep it in the box and all. I don't play that. You know, you give me some, I'm gonna take care of it. But anyway, man, this is my Bible. I got I got another one ain't opened up yet, but boy, I ain't even read nothing out of you. It just I ain't know you can get a Bible with pictures in it. I said, what? Then they got color pictures. Okay, that's what the expensive Bible does give you, huh? Okay, I'm gonna show it out. But I'm gonna start reading it tonight. I'm gonna give me a verse in a night. A verse in a night. That's why, you know, this Bible is power, man. If you a man, you ain't got no Bible, you're playing. You feel me? You a man and you don't got no Bible, man. Get you that King James version. I don't know what my mama got it from. Got that gold, got that gold riddle. Then got that, got that, look at that. Got the book mark coming with like two book mobs. Two book mark. Yeah, this book is gonna be around for millenniums. I'm gonna let her sign it next time put her name on there. Let her put it in her handwriting. And I'm gonna put it in mine. But yeah, man, this Bible here, man, it's gonna look like this forever, because I'm gonna take care of it forever. For real. I still got my damn report card from seventh grade. Shit, I still got reports, still got all my goddamn rewards from man, like all my like, what you call it? Uh, you get all A's, all B's. I ain't got never got all A's, but you know, you get you get an honorable. But yo, you know what I'm talking about. But man, look here. Just knowing that if you build the right foundation, bro, you can just be, you can be good. You feel me? Like just preaching that word, like putting that practice in that word, you building that base up. Like when you thinking godly, you thinking on another level. When you're thinking godly, you thinking, you think in the right way. You feel me? So above, so this is um this is another one, right? Proverbs 4 23. Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. You feel me? So guard your heart, you feel me? Like the Hebrew, this is the root concept. The Hebrew understanding of the heart um incompasses the mind, will, and emotions. The verse serves as a direct strategic command. Protect the source because it dictates the trajectory, the trajectory of every physical action. I know how to say that we're on a mountain right. The trah I don't got time for it. But anyway, just saying, just by all means, man, guard how you how you do and how you come. You feel me? Like, this is should be this should be what you do already. Like, oh, what that one is talking about somebody stealing. I like that one. Um it was like it was on some if I leave you alone unattended, I should be able to trust you type stuff. But it was a good one. I don't know which one I read, but it was a good verse on like just the root cause of stuff. Like the verse does not say that money. Okay, here we go. I think it's this one. Timothy 6 through 10. For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. It didn't say money is evil, y'all. Some people eager for money have wondered for the faith and pierce themselves with many griefs. You feel me? And they say the root concept. The verse does not say all money itself is the problem. The love of it and the internal psychological and spiritual orientation is the root cause. The visible symptoms, greed, unethical behavior, anxiety are just branches growing from the Pacific root. You feel me? Like, cause you can grow like roots of bad things. Like what it says, a good fruit bear good, like a good tree bear good fruit, a bad tree bear bad fruit. You feel me? Like, you know, so you can grow bad branches, you feel me, but they just gonna fall off and die faster. They gonna, you know, like you can't steal forever. You can't be a thief forever, you can't be lying forever. You can't not be just doing what you say you're not gonna do forever. You feel me? You end up losing that power to do it, you end up losing that that time, you end up losing that strength, you end up losing the the spirit, you feel me? Because you wasn't using those the that that what that base wasn't getting used, you wasn't growing that seed. Like right now, I'm growing the seed just talking to y'all. This seed grows the more I plant in it. This seed grows the more I what use it. So just keep on doing it, you feel me? And this is the last one, man. Jeremiah 7, 17. Be blessed in the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. That would be like a tree planted by the water that sends out by its roots by the stream. It does not feel when he comes. It leaves, it's its leaves are always green. It has no worries in the year of drought and never fails to bear fruit. You feel me? So this is saying, like, this is a person, this is a tree that's is making sure that they will they will always have water. It's right by the screen. You feel me? Whatever happened, they they got water. The tree not, y'all know trees store, like I I gotta I can go a whole damn talk about trees. But trees, like, they are really alive, you feel me? But anyway, a tree store a bunch of water in them, a tree full of water, you feel me? And in the mama tree, like they help all the other trees out in the damn forest. Like, that's a whole nother topic. But trees have got a lot of like to them for real. But when the root system is connected to a reliable, reliable source, a deep source of water, the tree becomes resilient to the um external environment. Shocks, drop, heat. The the healthy the health of the leaves is natural consequence of the roots and the anchor. I think my video done stopped. This is why I'm talking fast, y'all. But anyway, man, y'all, y'all man, y'all get the y'all get the plan, man. Like, get God in your system, like for real. Like, because it's he's gonna connect you to everything that you're trying to connect yourself to, man. Y'all stop playing your time, y'all stop playing y'all like, man. If it helps y'all in kind of way, man, y'all like, comment, and subscribe, man. Let's get all that skill, man.
