In this episode, we dive into how your environment directly impacts your cortisol levels, focus, and daily anxiety, and why a "home detox" might be the exact mental health reset you need.
We break down the psychology behind why we hold onto things we don't need, the hidden tax visual noise takes on your focus, and a practical, step-by-step framework to audit your space without getting overwhelmed.
Yo, it's your main man Ryan Ross TL, excuse me. Not all life becomes a place of diss and that. You feel me? If you walking into your house and it feels less like a sanctuary and more like a to-do list, that means it's time to detox that house. It's time to detox your space. It's time to detox your environment, man. Like everything, every part of your life needs to be what detox. Everything. I don't care what it is. It needs to be detoxing. Today we're talking about home detoxing. Like making sure that your space that you live in is what? Detox. In this video, we are running a complete weekend audit or detox to your light living space using three box method, right? Three boxes. When cutting through the decision fatigue, clearing the physical clutter isn't draining it, is that's draining your mental bandwidth and setting up a system that keeps you home clean long after the Sunday night. Grab a box and let's get into it, man. We're finna get into it. This is gonna be a quick one, this is gonna be a short one, man. Because it's really simple. Everybody knows how to clean up. Everybody knows how to get rid of shit, but man, it's it's a method to it, it's a method to everything. So knowing the method to everything, so you don't get it get shit wrong on a first try is is a motherfucker, right? So let's talk about it, man. The three rules of the box method, right? Box number one, man. This is your keep slash relocate box, right? Items you actually use or love, they belong in a different room or does it as a or a designated home, right? Like these this box needs to have its own thing going on. I want to keep this shit, I want to put it somewhere else, though, right? Box number two is the donate slash sell, right? This is a good condition item you haven't used in six plus months, duplicate tools or clothes that don't fit your current lifestyle. You can donate or you can sell them. Simple. Box number three, trash and recycle. You feel me? Criteria break down items, inspired goods, and worn out the textiles, junk, mail, and packaging, right? So your last box is your junk box. You're getting rid of all this shit that you don't need, man. So let's break the let like let's go through the 10-second rule. If you spend more than 10 seconds deciding on an item, automatically goes into the number two box to donate. And indecisive is usually a sign where you hold on to something out of guilt and not utility. You feel me? If you gotta think about it too hard, number two, you gotta go donate it. You feel me? So let's get into the execution phase, man. Weekend plan, right? Thursday morning, preparation is in zone one, high traffic arrogance, entryways, kitchen, countertops, living rooms, and areas. Set up a three box in a central location where clearing labels and with clearing labeling and trash bags ready. Clear all surface first. Do not organize and place scripts, counters, and coffee tables and desks completely bare. Process and items strictly out into the um three boxes before putting them into a single bag. Saturday. Focus. Like this is where I do my clothes things, right? Clothes, nightstands, dresses. Pull out all items by subcategory out the um out of wear, then all shoes rather than dumping your entire closet all at once. Use the lifestyle reality check. Keep clothes that fit in the in the life that you're living right now, not where you are where T is to go or hypothetical fruit yourself. So we only getting shit that we need right now. This is this what fit us right now. All old clothes gotta go. All old shoes gotta go. All shit that we don't need got to go. You feel me? And Sunday morning, you you that mean you didn't check your inspiration dates on your toilet trees, your medication, your skin care, purge, duplicate charges, random cores, and empty packaging, right? So this is just nothing but just regular shit down in day-by-day systems. But y'all, I'm just giving y'all the the rundown and the overview of this shit. How can I just get rid of and detox my life? You can clean this same way. You clean up everything. You gotta get rid of some shit. So some new shit to move in. You can't you can't let no shit move in. You got all the other shit in here. Motherfucking new new clothes like a little elma fitted. You ain't you gonna forget about the new clothes. Sunday afternoon, offloading and system reset, immediate removal and sustained maintenance. Trash slash recycle immediately take box three, dump to a recycling bin. Donate and slash put box two directly in the trunk of your car. Do not let it sit in the hallway. Reclose walk box one through and return every item to the proper zone. You feel me? Like one in and one out rule. For every new item, clothing, decoration, or gear in your home, one item from the same category must be donated or discarded. The nightly five-minute sweep. Before you go to bed, replace the items back to the design home so visual clutter never accumulates back to the critical levels. So just keeping this shit lined up is simple, y'all. I know this nigga said this nigga had a YouTube about how to clean up. Bitch, don't tell me what to do. Shit, I'm just reminding you. I'm never telling you nothing. I'm always reminding you what to do. Not telling you. Just a reminder. You feel me? It's summertime. Let me get rid of, let me put up all my wedding clothes that I don't want for next winner. You feel me? Let me put this up in them for the winning clothes. Like, let me just get rid of some shit. You feel me? Whenever season coming up, it needs to be what? You need to clean, deep clean four times a year. You need to detox your body four times a year. You need to do a lot of shit three to four times a year. You feel me? Just just you got 12 months, just break the shit up down. Let's how many four? We can go, we can go four. We can do every three months. We can do that shit. We can do we can make this easy. Like just doing this is gonna uh allow our life to be clean. You feel me? Like having a clean mind, having a clean life, having a clean space, having a clean environment is so partnering if you want to enjoy your life. You feel me? Like what they say in the beginning. If you want to walk in your room and feel like you're walking into a damn to-do list every day, you that means you want to be exhausted. That means you want to be tired, that means you want just to complain. You feel me? Anybody who wants to complain, get out their way because they'll never change. You feel me? Anybody who don't want to clean, they just want to be mean because they got a lot of shit to do that they ain't did. So just think about that, man. If you if you see a person that ain't clean, what they say, cleaniness is the closest thing you can get to godliness, right? Like God was clean, God wasn't dirty, God kept himself up and God looked good, God was a rich man, God was not poor. So let's keep that in our mind, man. Let's keep that on our temple. How can I keep this house clean and detox forever? You feel me? Wake up in the morning before I go to bed. Let me make sure you put shit in oil. I wake up, y'all can feel a little better. I can get right to work. All I had to do was wake up and fix my bed and get to work. Because I don't keep it cluttered in here, man. So y'all understand, man. Y'all understand the plan, y'all understand the game, man. Get up, clean up, declutter your house, man. Detox it. Say, man, I'm finna detox my house. Get them motherfucking baseballs and scrub them, bitches. Scrub them walls, scrub them flows, scrub it, get that shit right. So when you come in there, bitches, it's feel good. It feels like home. You can relax, you can do what you want to do. You ain't gotta clean up. You can just, you know, you can really tee up. You feel me? Put your feet up and put your arms out, and then you tee it up. That's a tee. You understand me? So get your mind right, man. Y'all start playing your time, y'all start playing with your life, man. If your home needs detox, man, get that thing rolling and get it clean, man. Let's go, man.
