Half of what you believe was chosen for you before you were old enough to question it. In this episode, we dive deep into Cognitive Trueness—the process of auditing your mind to uncover which of your core beliefs are genuinely yours versus inherited conditioning.
We break down how to stop living on social autopilot and start making conscious choices about your life.
Yo, it's your main man, Brahim, Bra CL. Y'all, did you know, man? Half of what you believe was made a belief before you were even old enough to question it. You dig like you believe in shit that you just been believing forever. You ain't even know that you believed it like that. But you believed it like that because you were so young and you were so impressionable to like other thoughts. So it sunk in, and that's what made like it was made a fact, basically. You feel me? Something that was not made when was not basically a fact was a fact in your life. Like that's your belief. Like, think about that for a second. The exact definition of success you are chasing, how you view money, the status markers you was working 80 hours a week to reach, how much of that is actually yours, and how much of it is an unconscious cultural conditioning. Like, you know, this is cultural. You can see your mama work 80 hours a week, 70 hours a week, 60 hours a week. You can seen your mama work all day. You feel me? You didn't see your mama spend all her money on this. You didn't seen the mom and daddy like nigga. I didn't not see daddy, but I didn't, you know, but you see your parents spend this type of, you know, this type of shit. And it and it don't, and it don't, you know, it didn't go that way. You feel me? Depending on your situation. You had mama that all day around all day, you had daddy dad around all day. Like it's whoever you saw all day long, this would your this is what you were getting your basically your truth from. You feel me? That's why it's important for a kid to be around somebody that's positive and you know, just really trying to, you know, better themselves in life, because this kid, this is they getting an example, and they think this example, this is how I go. They're gonna say, everybody's personally gonna say this is the people, the people everybody do this. You know, everybody is their mama, everybody is their parent, everybody is their dad, they everybody is grandma, that everybody is granddaddy. Like, you know, it depends on how that person, how that kid grew up, you dig? So today, man, we're gonna have that motherfucking their realness on your conditioning. Like, you gotta get real with how you were conditioned, you gotta get real with how you were trained and raised and engraved. Like, nigga, you was engraved, nigga. This is this is not no game. Like you really can, this is your conditioning. You you nigga, you've been eating like this forever. You feel like this shit is natural. You feel like you hooked, you feel like you stuck. You feel like you gotta die from the same shit grandma and granddad have died from. You feel like you gotta die the same age grandma and granddad have died from. You feel like you gon' you feel like they they genetics really highly effective, and it's only one percent. One percent literally, y'all. Other than another motherfucker, this book right here will tell you how not to die. Your genetics only determine 1% of how you gonna be. You dig? You know, sometimes it's this way, but you but when you are feeding yourself what you want to feed you, you change your genetics. You feel me? Like, you change your DNA by the food you eat, you change how your body grows by the food you eat, right? Food has DNA in it. Same way we have DNA, we eat certain DNA. So once we are eating the wrong DNA, you feel me? We are disrupting our DNA, we are killing our DNA. You feel me? So let's take this shit down, man. How to dissect your core ideas around money, status, and lifestyle and trace that where they actually come from, right? Like, let's get that down packed, right? Like, what did I get my money beliefs from? I read this in a book about like parenting and shit. But anyway, it says ask yourself, what is what is money actually for? Is it for safety, freedom, security, or is there a scoreboard to prove to people who you don't like to that you made it? You feel me? Most people most financial designs aren't even made their own on their own. They are made, they are echo timers of their parents' unhealed financial trauma. Like motherfuckers, most people, I feel like they they what they say, the last one. You are this is for a scoreboard to show you that I'm getting paper, bitch. Bitch, this is just a scroll. I gotta made a message band. But I got a Cadillac on 23s, bitch. Like this, this is for everybody else. I see if you was a goddamn show promoter, you was an old school car buyer, you did, you buy cars for a living, you did cash money, and this is not stressing your pockets out at all. But if you go get into debt for a vehicle, I feel like, man, you over flexing. You flexing too damn hard at this point. You $80,000 in debt looking like your ass ain't breaking a sweat. But the whole time your ass can't even move a man, move your ass cheek wrong when it works, bitch. You can't even breathe wrong. You can't even, you you, bitch, you get any type of suspension, that's your ass in that car. You feel me? Like that's what I feel like. When you put yourself in that type of position, you must, you got, you gotta have four legs. You gotta have uh at least a job, side hustle, a second job. You need to be a salesman, you need to sell some shit. Man, once you got all them bills, bro, your ass need to be able to overlay pay for this shit. That's how I look at this shit. Like, nigga, you paying for this shit off one job, this job must pay very good. You feel me? You need to be a person who able, who's making this type of money for real. You must have gone to just school for nigga for a doctor, engineering, a lawyer or something. What you do? What the hell, you feel me? Nigga making 60, you must be a construction worker, nigga. You must be you must be a 20-year construction worker, huh? And you must buy them and do pipes or something. You dig like nigga, you got to know. You gotta pay what you weigh. You dig? So X yourself, nigga, this is for myself. This is for my freedom. What am I buying this for? This for my safety? Like, once you know, okay, this is this is how I'm conditioned. I be buying this shit to put this shit on. I ain't gonna lie. I ain't gonna lie. You dig? I use that's my condition. I used to love them all. I used to love buying some clothes and shoes. I don't want this shit to pop it. Nigga, you see this shit look? This shit, I don't want that. Man, I want some flip-flops in a tank top. Y'all see me with a tank top on every day. Because I wear the same shirt. I ain't gotta be like, I got 30 shirts, but I only like like seven of them. Y'all would have been chosen the same shirt a hundred times. You dig? And it's for marketing purposes. Like you don't want to wear nobody else's shit because you don't want to be marketing other people's clothes. You feel me? Like, man, I ain't got no views, I ain't studying that shit. I'm putting that shit on if my ex. You dig, but like no, I really got like all my clothes, I done threw them out. Like, if they ain't just got any holes in them, anything look old, I try to throw it away, put it out the way like go take don't even throw it away, put it to the top H on. Somebody can put that shit on. Like, I don't like throwing nothing away. But clothes and shit, man. I don't shit. I'm not big on that shit. So you dig? So what like what is money actually for? Like, okay, I like safety. Now I'm grown or I got kids. Hell yeah, money for safety. I need to move. I need to be gone. I'm tired of this shit. I'm tired of staying in these apartments, y'all. No lie. No lie. YouTube, y'all listening, man. Look at it tell me what I need to do to get better. Because I'm trying to get better and get out this damn ghetto. Period. I don't like it over here. You feel me? For freedom, yes. I like money for freedom. I've been trying to say to get out this bitch. Security. No, what the fuck? Security over for what? Security. That sounds bad anyway. I don't like that. And the scoreboard, like, nigga, nah. I I want to know. Regular car paid for. Y'all listening. Y'all can find me a regular Honda. I'm trying to pay shit two to five thousand dollars for cash. You dig? Let me know if y'all know somebody. Because I'm trying to get me one, right? And it said they echo chamber. Like, this is so just saying, like, what do I look at money for? Like, do I just this shit just to man, I'm trying to get me a nice ass house, a nice ass car. Like, if I hear them type of words, oh yeah, you're gonna be broke real soon. Because everything is requiring your pockets. You feel me? Like when everything requires your pockets, all your happiness will go to your pockets. Shit, you gotta spend a lot of shit. You feel me? But if your happiness is going for your safety, shit, you may get, you know, it ain't too much you can buy for your safety. You feel me? You want you to got that house that you well, you out the way. You feel me? You won't want too many cars. You feel me? You want real, you know. But if you're trying to buy some freedom, that's what that's really what everybody should want to buy. You feel me? I'm trying to buy my way all you out of all these damn bills. You feel me? Like, if you got a lot of bills, you trying you should be trying to pay your bay yourself out of this so you can get out there and side of it. So your money really your money this month. And you feel me, and the months to come. Right? And then let's get to the next subject, man. Next thing is what? Your status. Look at the things you do, you want to buy, the title you look on, you have on LinkedIn, the lifestyle you feel obligated to display. If you were granted, no one would ever know what you accomplish on, what would you still chase? If the answer is no, this isn't your goal. This is a performative tax you're paying to impress social consciousness, right? So this thing, if nobody knew what the fuck you were doing, what the fuck you would be doing? Like, what would your status be? You feel me? If nobody knew what I was doing, shit, I'd be walking through the motherfucking woods, talking, chilling, relaxing. Shit, if I if I had to do it, shit, nobody knew I nigga. Had me in the house paid for off in the woods. Shit, I mean nigga, deep off somebody, nigga, by my damn self. Unbothered. You dig I had enough of this damn this type of life. Yeah. You dig I don't like coming home seeing none but me. You dig? Having to deal with none but my my my my bullshit. I'm tired of picking up other motherfuckers' trash. You dig I'm the type of motherfucker, I'll pick up the trash up if it's in front of you. I'll pick it up, I don't mind. You dig I'm gonna keep the hood clean. God gonna see where you how you acted, where you was, so you can get where you're trying to be to. You feel me? Like, man, I'm gonna clean the hood up. I wanna clean the whole damn walkway, but these niggas will c will flood like they go go to the store and go get shit on purpose. And you wake up the next morning, man. That shit back out there. Like some people just don't give a fuck, man. That's why I like they people get out of the hood. I see the fuck why. Really? Like my mama made the hood look good. I don't know why the hood looked so good when I was younger. Nigga was so fun, so so relaxed, I guess, because I ain't had no bills. Hello, y'all.
