Ever tried to "think your way out" of brain fog at 3:00 PM, only to end up staring blankly at the same sentence for twenty minutes?
When the mid-afternoon slump hits and cognitive overload sets in, your brain isn't just tired—it’s overstimulated. In this episode, we tackle why your usual analytical tools fail when your nervous system is fried, and why the fastest way to quiet a spiraling mind isn't another mental framework—it's your body.
We break down the science of somatic (body-first) practices and how shifting your physiology acts as an immediate circuit breaker for mental fatigue. You'll learn simple, zero-fluff physical resets you can do right at your desk to drop out of your head, clear the sensory buildup, and reclaim your sharpest focus for the rest of the workday.

Yo, it's your main man Ryan Rossia, y'all. Every day we are hit with that afternoon slump after work, after school, after practice, after life is done. Getting on our a butt. You dig? We don't know what didn't happen. You dig? We don't know what didn't went down. We just we just done with everything. Everything is yes, yes. Go ahead. Okay. I will find out. Give me a minute. I don't know when. You feel me? Everything is just because we are tired. You feel me? We are done. We are through for, you feel me? Like we all go through this. You feel me? Like a man of pure love. He just gonna, he just like, yes, yes. Just leave me alone. You feel me? So we go through this, and sometimes our brain goes in the overload. We don't go through the point where we just are we still in work mode. You feel me? We still, our brain is still active. It's still like damn that angels of questions and and other things going on, you feel me? Because we have so much going on after work, right? So today, man, we're gonna get into how to after get into after work therapy. This week we're talking about therapy, so I'm gonna talk about some more therapy on after when you get off of work. When you get off work, bro, look here. This is what this is what we finna do. You feel me? This is what we're finna do. So let's get right into it, right? Boom. The first thing we're gonna do is get in a pro receptive feedback, right? This is when we engage in high low or low or high contact physical feedback, such as a wall sits, firm body shifts, or deep physical scratches from your um from your focus out of your head, right? Placing heavy sensories on demand of your muscles, joints, forces, and your brain to recalibrate spatial awareness. Effectively pulling excessive neurological, I mean neurological activity out of the overactive prefrontal context. So let me break this shit down to niggas, okay. So look, this is what it's saying, right? Basically, once we get off, we can be doing something engaging to a high workout intensity, right? Just letting the brain know we do with that phase of the other day. You feel me? We can go straight into this phase. Some people can go do that. When they get out of work, they still got a bunch of energy. That's why I say when you know how people say they got off, man. You don't be tired of being um at work. I mean, you won't be you you you just be tired of being at work. You don't be just tired. You feel me? You're not really tired, but your mind is tired of being at work. You can get out of work, you got a whole nother burst of energy. Go use that energy properly. That's basically what this saying. Like you feel me, it's saying pro-reci. Let me I don't want to look that word up. What that what nigga? I know I can say it, but I'm I ain't got time to be trying to sign it out. That's what we do. You feel me? We just go look it up. That's all you gotta do. You can't say something, look it up.

Proprioceptive.
SPEAKER_01
Proprioceptive. That's a long-ass word. That's why my brain was not trying to say all that. Because it didn't say proportionate.
SPEAKER_00
Proprioceptive.
SPEAKER_01
Proprioceptive. This means relating to the body's internal ability to sense its own position, movement, and force through sensories in the muscles, joints, and tenements, right? And the quote definition is body awareness, and it is the subconscious sensory that tells your brain where the limbs are in space without needing to look. Force force detection, it helps you gaze how much muscle tension or strength to use, such as typically soft or lifting a heavy box, balance and control. It supports steady posture coordination and smooth physical movement, right? And how it works to specialize in nerve endings, like lives inside your muscles, ligaments, and joints. It then it has a feedback receptors, right? So it's basically saying, and when you when you doing this shit, you telling your body, nigga, it's over with. I'm through. You feel me? We're working out, you know we threw we work for today. You feel me? We didn't we're extra testing. You feel me? We're finna go do what the fuck we gotta go do, go get this gym. You feel me? Right after. You feel me? We got finna go do this damn task that we know we gotta go do. You like that's it. Engage your body into some physical activity. If you got one of them jobs you've been sitting on your ass all day, or you've been you ain't been physical all day. Oh, it's time to go get physical. It's time to go get physical. It's time to go get that motherfucking. You've got your mind right now. That's how we'll get your what body right. So let's go get into that, right? Let's go get into those pre-pro pre-receptive activities, right? And this is gonna make you better, right? And the next thing is, man, progressive muscle contraction. The siege fatigue unconsciously manifests as a physical tension, clenched jaws, tightening shoulders, and shallow breathing. Sequentially contracting and releasing muscle groups forces hypervolagent muscle fibers to unlock, resetting your tones and signaling to the brain that this immediate threat has passed. So this is saying that So this when when you feel this like this means that you really then you you tension for the day. Like your brain is like it's contracting, it's releasing the muscle, right? It's a progressive muscle contraction. I really don't get this one. Physical tension and body weight shifts and heavy muscle reforced. Okay, this is another one. Talking about progressive. And this is not even on that one, so okay. Looking like this. So let's look at it in this space, right? When you're going from one thing to another, you always want to have a system, basically, what's going on. Once I'm pushing for this, I need to have a system for when I get out of work. You feel me? Go if I gotta go get the kids, that's part of the system, put that in the system. What do I still what what do I need to activate for this one or two hours before I put them to bed, three, four hours before I put them to bed? What do I need to put inside the motherfucking system? You dig? Can I implement this before or after? When can I do this thing that I need to do to make myself better, right? And once I do that, I can what move better, I can make better decisions, I can I can have a life of of of um of ease, right? Putting this putting myself in that this in that um system, I'm no longer, I'm no longer in overdrive or an underdrive when I get home. I'm not fatigued, I'm not hurting, I'm not, I'm not down. You feel me? I'm still active. I gotta I spend an hour with the kids doing this, I spend an hour on this, I spend 30 minutes doing this. Like having that type of system helps your you know, your after-work breakdown, your afterwork shutdown. You dig like once you got a good ritual set in, like like everything it plays a part in, like using your hours and your minutes the correct way is so pertinent if you're trying to get it anywhere. You dig if you're using any minutes, any time in the day, the right way, you're gonna get somewhere. If you're putting in some time doing this, you're gonna get somewhere. You don't it don't matter where it is, but it's gonna what it's gonna be where you didn't think of it. Because God is He makes He the He the master decider of everything. Like you make the plan, you feel me? And let God you know put it in order for you. Like He's gonna make sure everything happened, but you make the plan though, and you gotta be active on the plan that you made because God He the one gave you the plan, He gave you the ideas, He gave you the tools that you needed to do what you need to do. So let Him worry about that. Don't you worry, but don't let reasoning steal your joy. You dig like that's a real one. I forgot what verse that is, but don't let reasoning like steal your joy, and like don't let you don't let the heart steal your joy because it's only making you stronger so you can be ready for what God finna give you. That's it, man. So y'all understand the plan, y'all understand the game, man. Once you get out of work, man, look at get into it, right? Like, get into it. Like it says that you wanna have that rapid body touch and physical sensation ground, focus on tangible details, breaking the momentum of mental spiraling until it turns to full out burnout, right? You wanna have that one, two, five, four, three, two, one that you adapt to like, okay, I'm gonna do this. You dig adapting yourself to any type of ritual that you gotta do when you get off, any type of positive ritual. This is what I do when I get off every day. Like, you know, if you you a human right now, I'm reading habits. You gotta a habit that you do every day you get off work, no matter what. You feel me? And most people have gonna go get them a beer. Most people have to go get them some food. You feel me? They gonna get them a drug. Like that's their habits. It's a habit. It's a habit. They're not gonna get no real food, they're not gonna get no damn cabbage. They're not gonna get no green. They're not gonna get they they gonna get some some something, some oily shit, some shit real oily and heavy on the stomach. They ready for it, like they not gonna get nothing that is, you know, it's healthy. You feel me? Unless they what created that habit, unless they made that a habit. So let's make the right shit a habit. Like, let's make the right things, the right thing. Like, let me do this for a habit. Let me make this a habit. Because you can't what restructure your habit? You can't restructure how you get off work, you can't restructure how you feel on a daily basis, man. So believe that and feel it, man. Y'all stop playing with y'all time, y'all stop playing with y'all life, man. This video is all in any can only, man. Y'all like y'all come and y'all subscribe, man. Look at once y'all get out today. Y'all listen to the video. Look at man, relax. Shit, find you, find your routine, get you 30 minutes in of anything. 30 minutes. If you can't do 30 minutes, do 10. You got 10 minutes without your kids all in your all up your ass. You feel me? Go do you 10 squats. You feel me? You ain't got to do 10 minutes. Go do you one minute. One. Do something. You feel me? If you don't do nothing, this is gonna this is gonna be the starting point of of you doing something every day that's better for you. You dig? So let's get there, man. Let's go.
