Beyond the Statistics (formerly 1 in 3)
Beyond the Statistics is a survivor-led podcast exploring domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, coercive control, trauma, healing, and the systems that impact survivors. Hosted by survivor and advocate Ingrid Dutton, each episode goes beyond the numbers to share the real stories behind them.
Through conversations with survivors, family members, attorneys, therapists, healthcare professionals, advocates, law enforcement, researchers, and other experts, the podcast explores abuse, recovery, prevention, systemic challenges, and the hope that healing is possible.
Because abuse is rarely limited to physical violence. It can include emotional abuse, psychological manipulation, financial abuse, stalking, legal abuse, and trafficking-related exploitation. These forms of abuse are often hidden, but their impact can be life-changing.
Whether you're a survivor, supporting someone you love, a professional, or simply seeking to better understand abuse and its lasting effects, Beyond the Statistics offers honest conversations, expert insights, practical resources, and hope.
Where awareness starts with numbers, but understanding begins with stories.
New episodes are released every Wednesday, with occasional bonus episodes throughout the year.
