Mental Capital
The world is changing, and fast. Since the pandemic hit in March of 2020, things have been in a constant state of upheaval. The numbers for depression/anxiety & suicide are on the rise. Civil unrest, global warming, rioting, war... it seems like every single day there is something else to stress about. Things to focus on outside of ourselves to keep us on edge. There's just so much chaos that it can easily leave us feeling hopeless and lost. If you're like me, you're looking for something more. Well I found that more in... you!I realized that what we were missing was each other! Think about it. While we were all locked inside, isolated for two years, we lost a piece of ourselves for awhile. What we lost was Human Connection! That's the best way for us to grow outward and upward. To feel seen, heard and understood and to be part of a community. These are the foundations of who we are as people. As I got back out into the world I started to meet phenomenal individuals everyday. Everywhere I went I met incredible humans with powerful stories of enriching experiences. They had just been sitting on these gifts. Waiting to share them with whoever would bother to simply strike up a conversation. They were all forms of social capital because of the knowledge I gained from hearing them. I always left feeling charged up!That inspired me to start sharing these stories, and these people, with you! I thought that if they inspired ME to greater things through the power of conversation then they could do the same for you! I realized that every single one of us is sitting on that same vault of knowledge and experiences. It's time to bring those out in the open and learn from each other. That's why I started this podcast. You'll get something of value from every episode here. Whether it's knowledge, understanding, or inner peace. We're going to dig deep into our humanity and squeeze out every last bit of greatness... together.
