Irwyn Ince

Born and raised in Brooklyn, Irwyn Ince married Kim Shepard-El in 1992. He has a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from City College of NY and worked as a systems engineer and project manager in the Washington-Baltimore area. He went on to earn a Master's in ministry from Reformed Theological Seminary and helped plant City of Hope Presbyterian Church. He received a Doctor of Ministry from Covenant Theological Seminary in 2016 and served as Executive Director of the GraceDC Network Institute. He's a Qualified Administrator for the Intercultural Development Inventory and certified in Cultural Intelligence. In 2018, he was elected as the first African American moderator of the 46th PCA General Assembly. In 2021, he was elected MNA Coordinator and appointed Adjunct Professor of Pastoral Theology at RTS. He has published "The Beautiful Community." Irwyn and Kim have 4 children and 2 granddaughters and he enjoys coffee and kettlebells.
