Over the last 10 months I was asked "So... what happened to the podcast?" quite a lot… The truth is, nothing happened to it.
In this episode, I'm talking about the pause, what was really happening behind the scenes throughout 2025 and whether slowing down to speed up has actually paid off and given me my sanity back.

Welcome to Launch Loud, where online coaches come to build iconic personal brands, create year-round demand, and fill their offers with their content. Launching loudly and proudly to six figures and beyond. Hello and welcome back to Launch Loud. Since I am returning to a more consistent posting schedule here on the podcast, and I did have quite a considerable break after being somewhat consistent for, you know, over two years, I thought, you know, I didn't want this to be the only episode I came back with, but I thought a kind of update episode was certainly due, especially if you're someone who has listened for a little while. Um, I just wanted to share with you some updates. Um, because a major part of actually what I was sharing last year throughout 2025 were um some business rebuilding updates. And I made that a little series. So I thought, why don't I come back and tell you what's been going on? Because there has been a podcast pause, there's also been a puppy, and I've made somewhat of a subtle pivot. So let's get into what's been going on and kind of if everything I've been doing over the last few months has actually helped me to go in the direction I want to go. So for nearly a year, I would get a few questions um either from clients uh or from just people, you guys, my audience, and that ask, you know, what happened to the podcast? Are you come like, you know, are you changing it? Are you never doing it again? What's going on? And honestly, there wasn't really ever this like uh true decision to be like, I'm I'm not coming back to it, or it was never like dead in the water. It was, it was nothing. I just didn't get back into a more regular schedule um kind of when I was going through a a time where my business did feel a little bit like not uncertain, um, but I just I didn't have like everything firing on all cylinders. I was still very much in like project mode with my offer. Um, and coming into when I had a break, I was about to go into like the the first big public launch of my new program, the Instagram Launch Lab. Um I had been selling it kind of behind the scenes um in very simple ways, but this was gonna be the first like public live launch. And I was sharing episodes in the lead up to that, but I just it just kind of had to take a back burner because I needed to really focus on that. And when I kind of had gotten out of the other side of that launch and I was thinking, okay, great, now we're kind of moving into more regular, scheduled programming. How do I want this to look? The podcast just didn't feel right yet. I had come out with this offer, I had made a lot of shifts in my content, but I just wasn't really sure what that was going to look like for the podcast. And with kind of other personal shifts going on, I was like, you know what? I think this is a time where it's just about deciding what is worth your attention and energy and what is not. And despite the podcast being really successful and something that I loved doing, but also saw really great results from, um, either from feedback, from people telling me that they would listen to episodes, and that's what helped them to get to know me more or know that they wanted to work with me, whatever it was. Um, despite all of that, I just it just wasn't fitting into the puzzle at that time. Um and it was crazy because I was still getting downloads and I was still getting people asking about it. So at the same time, I was kind of like, oh, should I be doing anything with this? Um, for a little while there was a bit of guilt there, but I think it's really important just to be able to decipher this is a season where this is just not making like a huge monumental difference. Sure it's helping, sure it contributes, sure it's great, but there are other things that I think need my attention right now. Um, and it just wasn't a priority. So I had kind of hit pause, and a lot of that was majorly because of what was really happening in 2025, which I said, um, was a lot of the business rebuilding I was doing. So I had decided to kind of move away from really, well, I was trying to move away from being known as like just the Instagram girl, right? The content girl. Um, I did have all of my offers that centered around purely Instagram. Um, my main offer at that time, um, you know, end of 2024 into early to mid-2025 was my membership, which was um Conquer Club, if you remember it, you remember. Hello, thank you so much. Um, and that was a primarily like an Instagram focused program, in that it was quite generalized. Um, it yes, predominantly was for service-based businesses or expertise-based businesses like coaches or course creators, but I just like wasn't seeing a lot of fulfillment in it. And I spoke about this in the podcast episodes in that I was searching for simplicity, I was searching for clarity and really just getting like having that excitement and fulfillment in what I was doing. I wanted to help clients see more substantial results. I wanted to work with clients on a deeper level. I wanted to also really find my place in the online world. And I just didn't feel like being a general Instagram coach was that. So throughout 2025, I was building this offer. Um, and as I said, I officially launched it into the world in September 2025. And since then, I have really felt like it's only just, you know, just enhanced itself and grown. And I've really found, like just felt more solidified in it. I feel more confident in it. It's really found its place. Um, so since then I've run multiple cohorts and am now actually transitioning into more of an ever-enrolling style program. So I will still do some bigger launch campaigns throughout the year, but I'm also testing out some different launch strategies in how that can be more of a rolling enrollment enrollment in which people can join at any time. But I'm still being strategic in how I run those enrollments and intakes into my program, as it's a very intimate space and I work with all of my clients on a deep level. So my goal throughout 2025 was really just like stripping everything back, simplifying everything, and trying to help get this program to essentially find its feat. And I was successful in that, and I'm really, really proud of that. Um, then come into 2026, I was wanting to, again, still refine things, um, make my business just feel simple, clear, easy, and also figure out who I was as a coach. Um, because for a long time, and this is, you know, just a bit of like an admission of honesty, but I just felt like for a long time my business was just a bit of patchwork. It was a lot of different things. And I know these things don't matter, but I was like feeling uncomfortable. It's like, oh, my website doesn't match the direction I'm going on Instagram, and then my my podcast doesn't really match the vibe of where I'm going either. And everything just felt um kind of disconnected and nothing was necessarily wrong, but I was struggling with that cohesiveness, and it probably was just something that I was imagining and internalizing. Um, but I was like, who I was, I was basically having an identity crisis. Um, and I struggle when that identity that I'm trying to create or define isn't like consistent across the board. So hence the podcast, it just didn't feel aligned at the time. Um, and kind of throughout the transition of my of the program, Instagram Launch Lab growing, I was also um scaling back and sunsetting and closing the membership. And it just, there was a lot of moving parts. So through the end of 2025, I had made this big pivot and this decision. And in 2026, I'm kind of like have just been doubling down on that. Um, I haven't created any new offers. I've just had the one offer. I feel like I'm, and this is another example with this podcast, I'm trying to really find my groove in the launch space and really become known as a content and launch strategist. Um, and not just how do I help people with Instagram, but how do I help people sell out their programs? How do I help coaches fill their cohorts? How do I help people, you know, have those big sell-out launches, those big loud moments online with their content, Instagram being one of the vehicles that does that. So I would say that I found more clarity in that. Um, and stripping everything back, my offers obviously are easier to sell. I have one offer, which is fabulous, and then I have um a retention offer as well. So clients continue to work with me and we work on more things that kind of maybe initially fall outside of the scope of what's in the lab originally, but we work on, you know, specific and custom goals to them depending on what they want to achieve. Um, that has helped my content to become clearer. I'm much more clear about the exact person I want to help. And that is still even being refined. Like I feel like even with this um these past like three months specifically, I've really dialed in on exactly who this person is that I want to work with and the exact stage of their journey that they are at and where the Instagram Launch Lab makes the most sense for them for them. And I've just I just talk about that over and over and over again. Um, I do sometimes do some smaller mini campaigns or some collaborations, and that's how I can add some creativity and mixing things up. But I like, I I think I've just like proved to myself, and I've I I knew this would be the case, but you know, now 10 months later from when I took a pause, I I do feel my business is clear clearer. I do feel that it's easier to run. That means my content is easier, marketing is easier, sales is easier, showing up is easier. So did the pivot pay off? Yes. And not just financially, not just in terms of like the business itself, but like just truly from like a founder perspective and and things just falling into place a whole lot easier. And now I have kind of out of this build season now. I'm really looking forward to the like optimize season. So definitely the last few months were a lot of things like offer development and curriculum creation and sales pages and a lot of the building elements, which I do find fun, but the next part is even funner for me. It's optimizing how we sell it and scaling that and improving how like client delivery and looking at how I can see more results in less time, all those sorts of fun things. So, yes, I do think the pivot has paid off. It certainly didn't always feel like that, and it certainly has been hard. I think it's even taken me a little bit longer than I expected it to. I kind of wanted to be able to snap my fingers and change a lot of things, and there's there are still things that aren't done. Um, there are some elements like my website that need to be kind of revised. Um, there are certainly some elements in like systems-wise that need to be worked on and developed. But certainly now with like my North Star so much more clear, everything has just become so much lighter and easier in my business. And not only has that really been made apparent and clear in my business, but it's it's just become so much more clear in my personal life, like outside of the business. Um, because I I really believe that like when business is simple and it's just something like I a lot of people kind of you know lean against this, but I always think like the business part should be the simplest, the most boring, the most repetitive, because that should be something that just ticks over and we know works. Yes, there's always going to be things that we need to optimize, change, grow with, uh, experiment with, but we don't want to have to live in that build world constantly. It's it's quite tiring, right? If you've ever done it before, whether whether you've created an offer or you've done a rebrand or you've had to make a change in something, um, it can feel fun because I think that fuels like the entrepreneurial creative side of ourselves. But if you're living in that constantly, like that, that that's heavy and that's a lot. And that means that the business that you're creating is is becoming a job in that it's something that you're always having to work on, as opposed to a business that fuels your lifestyle. So really, this like just simplification of my business has created more for me personally. Um, I do get to have kind of more freedom in my week, in my schedule. I don't feel beholden to deliverables in my membership. I was having to create like monthly um templates and reports and assets and resources and tools and sure, I think that would fit for someone, but it didn't fit for me. And I was feeling like, oh my God, if I'm gonna run this forever, that I'm gonna have to do that forever. And they just never felt like there was this end date with it. Whereas with my offer and the way it's structured now, I have a lot more control and choice and flexibility in that while still be able to being able to deliver at a really high standard in a high-touch way as well. Um, so I feel like I have more mental space, I have more capacity, I feel like I can unplug, I feel like I have more time to be a human, and that means I can pour into other things outside of my business, which I personally think make myself as a business owner better. So um, yes, that has meant that we have finally got ourselves a puppy, myself and my husband. Um, a lot of that actually really more coincided with Cody um finishing his studies. He was doing his MBA and he graduated in March. Um, so that also meant he was having a little bit more freedom and space in his mind. So we did get a puppy. Her name is Juno. She is an Australian Shepherd cross poodle and the absolute love of our lives. She has tested us, that is for sure. And she still will continue to, um, of course. And we learn so much about her all the time. We learn a lot about each other as well, which has been really interesting. And it's just been a really fun thing to go through together. And it's been a fun new chapter. So we are now um a family of three, and she's just brought so much joy to like to have someone, like especially from for myself working from home. Like, I would basically spend a lot of my day alone. So just to have a companion, someone who is there waiting for you, um, and yes, she really does tell me when, okay, it's time to stop working, it's time to go for a walk. Um, she's my like my little alarm clock. But just having someone with me, it's it's brought a lot of happiness into my days and also just our weekends and all of those sorts of things. Um, so a puppy and a pivot and a pause is kind of how I would describe the last few months if I had to summarize. Um, with that, also some other things that I have been able to pour into. Um, I don't know if I have spoken about before, but I do still work with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. That was the company that I danced professionally for for about five years. And over the last few years, I have stayed connected with the casting team and I support the casting process uh when they come over to Australia. So that means I am traveling three, four times a year um around the country. And what's so amazing about it is I get to do that and it's it's a really an amazing outlet. It's just so fun to tap into my old life a little bit, um, but I'm able to run my business um at the same time and I don't have to let one go or sacrifice one. So I just love having that as a secondary outlet, and it's just a really fun way to connect back to my old self, but still have the element of my business and also be able to travel a little bit more. So I'm just so grateful for all the steps that I take and kind of having to slow down to speed up over the last few months. Um, I really do feel like it's it's just I'm finally going the right direction where I can see, I can see the light now. I can see all of the efforts and and why they've fallen into place and how they've been able to do that and what's kind of ahead for me now. So um with that, I wanted to give you a little, I guess, snapshot of what I'm working on right now. And that is just like doubling down on what's working. Um, and that is my one scalable offer and optimizing the sales process for that. So I am always, if I could just, I guess, focus on three things, always focused on delivery for clients and making sure that their experience is a 10 out of 10. They are getting results, they are on track, they are feeling clear and motivated. That is our new clients and our renewing clients, our graduates who are coming back to work on um higher-level things. The second thing is just marketing. And that is certainly where the podcast comes in. Um, I am focusing, of course, still over on Instagram, uh, my email list, but also bringing back this nurturing platform, which I just really, really see so much value in. So I'm really excited to have this back up and running and creating some more, probably some more streamlined systems around it to yeah, make sure that it's easy to keep on top of because I do find this easy. It's when you, again, when you have your offer down part, your messaging down pat, getting it out there in the different mediums, whether that is a real or a carousel or a podcast episode or an email is easier, but with that you also still need the systems. Um, and then the third thing is like my sales systems and my processes and how that is working. Um, so it's a bit of an experiment that I'm doing right now, and maybe I'll share more on it a little bit later. But I'm really excited to be basically just doubling down on what I know works. And for me, that is live launches and using a webinar to convert. And I'm gonna talk more about webinars and what I've been finding um through my own campaigns and also client launches that I've been watching and and supporting at the moment. Um, but I'm just really, really excited to just again double down on the simplification of it all. So not building out more offers, not reinventing everything every single week, not creating more complexity for the sales, uh, for the sake of it, but just selling, selling my offer, running my offer, and yeah, letting the business do its thing and not constantly trying to find again that silver bullet. So if you're maybe you're in a season right now where you're questioning, do I need to pivot? Do I need to double down? What do I need to do? What do I need to focus on? It's really normal to kind of have a lot of swirling questions, but I think that simple is best. Um, and if you do have something that's working, that's where the gold is. Don't try and go find something else and try to make that work first. Strip it all back, look at what's already working and optimize it. Um, and sometimes also remembering that not every project or decision looks exciting in real time. Um, for example, for me, I felt like I was just in the weeds of building everything and having to figure out these, you know, sales systems and um assets for a brand new offer that didn't exist. And it just felt kind of endless at one point, but I I did get there. And when you zoom out, you realize like how much progress you actually do make. Um, so with that, as well as also pausing what's not essential. And for me, that was the podcast for a little while. So maybe what can you pause or hit a temporary stop on while you really focus on what is going to be the biggest needle mover. So if you're thinking about doing a pause, a pivot, whatever it is, um think about where you really want to take your business in the next few months by the end of this year, and think about what is essential for me to get there and what is not. Um, because certainly right now, looking back at the decisions I've made, the pause with the podcast, the rebuild with my offer, the slow but steady launching, I'm so glad I made all of those moves because I really feel like they have paid off. Now, as I said, this is my first week back on the pod, and I am choosing one person for an Instagram audit. This is the full audit uh service where I comb through your Instagram, your content, your bio, every single element. I deliver a full loom review to you, along with a list of action steps and my recommendations.
