Alright, today I'm popping off about a topic that I am obviously very passionate about. We're gonna talk about marketing, we're gonna talk about social media marketing and using social media marketing to grow your business. And today I want to go over four reasons why you need to be marketing your business on social media. And as someone who's an expert in the field, I get these same questions over and over and over. And so I just want to go ahead and hear jump on a podcast and record an episode for you guys.

So that if you are wondering if it's for you or if you should be doing it, yes, social media is free, but if you don't know what you're doing and you don't have a strategy, you are just basically throwing spaghetti at the wall. So four reasons why you need to be using social media to market your business. Number one, it helps with visibility for your business. We all live online, it's 2026, and we all are on our phones all the time.

on our computers, on their screens. If someone hears about your business, they're gonna Google it, okay? Or they're gonna get on Facebook and look it up, see if you have a Facebook page, get on Instagram, see if you have a handle, what's your vibe, just all the things about your company. So you wanna make sure that they can find you. And social media is the loudspeaker for your business.

It is the very first thing that they're going to look into when they hear about the name of your company or what you do or the products and services that you offer. And so you want to make sure you have a presence on there. Okay. You don't want to make sure that if they click on your page, it's not been a ghost town and nothing going on for months or years or whatnot. You want to have the page optimized first. So, number two, I guarantee you your competitors.

Are marketing themselves on social media, which means they're taking a market share from you. The days of referral marketing or just word-of-mouth marketing, it's not gonna cut it these days. There's just too much noise going on. And so you want to make sure that you are showing up online, you are marketing your business on social media. And I am a huge believer in organic social media. I do not think organic social media is dead.

I think that you can have a presence and grow a big following and an audience organically on social media. The main thing is that you are consistent and that's also the hardest thing. So when I say organic versus paid, I believe that you can grow and scale a brand and a business organically without having to pay for ads. This might be an unpopular opinion for people. You might say you can grow and scale faster with ads. Yes, you can.

But ads are extremely, they can get very expensive. and you can spend a lot of money and a lot of different and wrong ways in the ads apartment. now I've done ads before Patriad Vino and they do work. it just is a matter of if you have a lot of money to put into the marketing and advertising field. Okay, number three. People are watching you, they're watching your business.

They're watching you show up consistently, they're seeing your trucks on the road, or they're passing by your office in their cars. And maybe the timing is not right for them to engage with you to get your service or to whatever it is fill in the blank that you do, but there will be a time they do need what you have to offer. And so what you want is to be top of mind when that happens.

And you are top of mind when that happens when you are showing up consistently on social media and marketing your business. Okay, the fourth thing I'm gonna say when it comes to social media marketing, the days of the curated posts and the perfect little lighting and all the things, those days are over. Okay. Authentic marketing and organic social media marketing is in. It's back in. People want connection, they want to feel like they know you.

When you market your business on social media, you supercharge the no-like trust factor. So, for example, one thing I did for a client recently is I he had gotten a lot more followers coming in recently. And so I did a reintroduction post of him as the owner. And of the introduction posts I did, I did six facts. And of the six facts, four were professional and two were personal. And guess what got the most response when the people wanted to know about?

caroline (04:41.816)
The two personal facts. And so when I say you can share personal facts too, as you as the business owner, you don't have to go into like, you know, any drama you got going on in your life or negativity, like, no, no one wants to hear about that online. But maybe share a glimpse of something that you do that is unique to you. One thing I did one time when I was doing my reintroduction post, is I did I'm I drink tea in the mornings, I don't drink coffee.

Coffee gets me really jacked up, my heart rate too high, and just tea has been a better solution. I received 87 comments about me being a tea drinker when I did that post. My point in this is you can share small things that give people a little glimpse into what it's like to work with you, what it's like to hire you.

You know, what are you doing? What are you eating? What are you drinking? What are your habits? What do you like to do? People want to know these things. And when they feel like they know you, they are quicker to want to do business with you, to spend money with you, because they feel like they already know you. So that's my spiel for today, popping off about social media marketing.
