Are you a parent of a teenager who is self-harming?
Are you concerned that someone you care about maybe self-harming?

In the latest episode of ' I Have Issues,' I discuss the issue of teenage self-harm.
Self-harming behaviours are something many teenagers use as a coping mechanism to deal with psychological distress.
However, there is much confusion as to why this happens and what can do done to assist a teenager who is self-harming.

In this episode, I'm joined by esteemed Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist, Dr Claire Casey.  Dr  Casey is a top London Psychiatrist who has worked in both public and private mental health services.  She is an expert in this area and offers invaluable insights into the issue of teenage self-harm.
We discuss together why teenagers may develop an issue with self-harming,  why this coping mechanism is used  and how to treat the issue of self-harming.
This episode is a must-listen for any parent, friend or teenager who is concerned about self-harming,
