Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Do you find it hard to express your emotions and feelings?
Do you try to control your feelings because you are afraid to appear weak?
Have you been told that you are emotionally repressed?
In the latest episode of ' I Have Issues,' I discuss the issue of control.
Control can be used as a way to deal with feelings we don't like and are afraid to express.
We may feel embarrassed, ashamed or guilty about our feelings and so use control to stop ourselves experiencing those negative feelings.
We can end up mentally and psychically unwell as out body tries to cope with all that unexpressed and repressed feeling and energy.
We may never learn how to emotionally regulate and so be prone to over-reacting to small things.
People with an issue of control can struggle to be in healthy relationships, have addiction problems and no surprises be emotionally repressed.
Having a healthy relationship with our feelings is vital as this is a relationship that we can't break up with and control keeps this relationship unhealthy.
