Hey, welcome back to Fuel for Thoart, Empowering Women to Live Healthier Lifestyles. I'm Tracy Elizabeth, I'm Nicole Heller and we are here today with one special guest. Who are you? Carissa Fabian? Yeah, so today we me and Nicole are getting a little out of our comfort zone. I like that. What's happening today, Nicole? Why is she here?
Speaker 2:So what.
Speaker 3:I am, I'm not here, ladies.
Speaker 3:What I am so excited, tracy and I I know that you can't see us just yet, but we decided that we were going to come in our Usually we get a little jazzed up for our recordings. But today we decided workout clothes, whatever we were doing this morning, sweat pants, because we decided that, after meeting this amazing Carissa, that we were going to push ourselves to get a little uncomfortable, even though we feel pretty comfortable in our clothes, just really pushing ourselves to try new things. So you are such an inspiration because that's what you do.
Speaker 2:Thank you so much yeah.
Speaker 3:You push people to feel more comfortable in their skin. But tell us a little bit about you, a little bit how you got started, what exactly that you do? Fill us in a little Carissa.
Speaker 2:Awesome. So I basically started this out, this venture, as blogging. So I loved, you know, taking pictures, putting them on Instagram, showing people what I'm wearing. I just love putting together outfits and then it kind of rolled into like someone's like oh, I bought this and I felt really good after wearing it and then I was like you know what I need to get out of this blogging space and get more one-on-one with the people. So I became a personal stylist at Bloomingdale's, working with just so many amazing women all different backgrounds, shape, sizes, just wonderful, wonderful people and styling them was so amazing and inspiring. I do currently now work for White House Black Market, chico's, fas, which is Soma, white House and Chico's as well Chico's I have to get my feet a little more comfortable with, because it's a different genre, like White House and White House had to toe today.
Speaker 1:Yeah, it's perfect Looking very amazing, looking amazing, it's so sweet, sweet. Put my Victoria's Secret sweatpants, oh stop you always look good.
Speaker 3:These are Amazon leggings, in case anybody's wondering.
Speaker 2:Yes, and I love your sweatshirt. Thank you, hope dealer. Super cute. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I'm so proud of you for taking this amazing feeling of helping women and empowering them to feel great about themselves To me.
Speaker 3:I love everything about it.
Speaker 1:What I really love is that you and I have known each other since we were teenagers.
Speaker 2:Yeah, don't say how long, because then it makes a sound old.
Speaker 1:You can't age yourself. I'm proud that I'm turning my age, but okay whatever, Since we're 16, right yeah? Yes, about 16. And you've always been very well styled that I remember. Like you always showed up looking presentable. You always had beautiful clothing. And you just always stood tall as a teenager and so confident, so I love the fact that you now, as a woman I'm not going to say how old you are- but as a woman?
Speaker 2:No, you can. I'm okay with that. You found a passion. It just makes us old.
Speaker 1:No, we're not old, but you found a passion to really serve other women, because I think when Nicole and I had intro'd into this episode saying how this makes us feel uncomfortable, it's not really about feeling uncomfortable Like right now. I mean, she's better at buying clothing than I am Sorry, terrence, but I just love that. You know, we can put on clothes and feel confident, but remembering a time in our life that we did not feel comfortable and confident, and you are really inspiring women to do that, just to feel that, no matter where they are in their life no matter where they are physically or mentally, you want to help them 100%.
Speaker 1:So what is one of your like most memorable experiences? Styling a woman.
Speaker 2:You know I can tell you there've been a lot that I really am excited about, but there was one in particular where I had this client and you know she didn't feel comfortable but her friend had recommended and she was like, look, there's no judgment, I promise me Carissa will take care of you. And the woman walked in and she was like I looked around and I didn't see anything. You know, I'm hoping you can help me. I made an appointment, so I wound up finding her address for an event and she sent me pictures and she had called me and she said I've never felt better and I never would have picked this out for myself, and for me it was just so amazing to be like I was able to help this woman feel so wonderful at an event just by finding her the right outfit. So I think that for me that's something that stands out. You know there's many stories like that, but that particular one, when she actually called me back and was like hey, thank you.
Speaker 1:I was like, wow, it's a great feeling when you think about it. We talked in previous episodes about showing up to certain places and standing tall and standing confident. And it does change when you have that dress on and you walk in and you I like I would wonder like how that woman represented herself differently, feeling so confident in that dress, as opposed to not coming to a stylist for that confidence, how she would have been without that feeling Right, like, did she dance? Did she socialize differently? Like I always think, cause I know from my experience and you just went to an event last night and it's the same thing Like I show up so differently, walking into places now and socializing differently because I feel confident in what I'm wearing.
Speaker 2:Of course, and it doesn't matter what size you are. I think it's just finding the clothes that you feel comfortable in. And I think that's important to remember.
Speaker 3:I think one of the biggest things that changed a lot for me, even during my health journey, is that I did a lot of subscription services for, oh my God, the boxes.
Speaker 3:Yeah, like the different boxes, like you know all the different brands that are out there, one particularly that I actually really enjoyed, but then they got rid of it. But the one I love everything automatic in my life, like if clothes are going to come to my door, I'm in. But on my health journey. What I loved about it is that I just kept thinking to myself like as I opened this box, this person that shop for these things for me. They don't have the same baggage I have. They don't have the same emotions I have. They don't have the same. You know that one time I tried to wear that and I felt horrible but not carrying that in with me 145 pounds down. I'm still carrying that baggage with me. So what I love so much about that is that opening that it was no preconceived notions.
Speaker 3:Like it was just like somebody put this box together for me and I forced myself to try these things, on things that I would never, even after losing 145 pounds, still wouldn't take off the rack. So, really looking in the mirror and feeling that pride for myself of saying, like you would never pick this, nicole, but it fits your body, you feel good, you feel beautiful.
Speaker 3:Wow, you're keeping this you know, Like that was such a big part of it and so much of that translates into someone like you standing next to another woman and saying, like I don't feel the way you feel. I look at you and I see a whole body, human, who is happy and content with life and it doesn't matter anything that you're bringing here right now that you've carried. I want you to try this and to me, like that emotional side of it is so powerful because that's what I'm looking forward to. So in all the last five years that we've been contending for health and shopping when I tell you shopping like crazy, because just because we've never shopped before, because we wore the same thing all the time, because we were uncomfortable in our body, so we've definitely done our share of shopping for five years I want to lead with a little bit of transparency here.
Speaker 3:Like, even though I feel healthy, I feel fit, I've lost 145 pounds, not even about that. Like part of me meeting you in a store thinking to myself like well, what if she hands me something that doesn't fit? Like that mindset is still there. And like, even though I've done I can't tell you how much mental work and how much emotional internal work like that stays with you after living a life of that's so long. So you, taking into account that you're not just standing there as a stylist handing me a pair of jeans, you're pushing me one more step past that emotional baggage that I carry, like that's an incredible emotional piece, like cause. I'm still thinking it.
Speaker 1:You're thinking it, trace, don't even think you're not thinking it Like I know you're thinking it, you know, of course I'm also thinking I'm thinking the opposite. Like she's gonna hand me a size that I'm gonna be like, oh no, that's not my size. Like, go get me the extra large, like just always.
Speaker 3:Yes, the extra large. But even thinking to myself, like I am in my closet, I have zeros, twos, fours, sixes, and I basically wear them all. So, like what if she hands me a four and it doesn't fit in? Those emotions I feel again when, in my head, I know that I wear zero, two, four, six it doesn't matter because it depends on the clothes but like just those emotions that just come right back up and being able to say, though, I'm standing next to a strong woman who is I trust her right now and I wanna borrow her confidence even from where I sit.
Speaker 2:That's a powerful piece, but I think you said it, nicole it's trust. So when women walk in, I think sometimes they're either intimidated or uncomfortable, and by the end of the session they're like whipping their bras off and they're like changing.
Speaker 3:Oh, I don't have a problem with that. I will walk out and make it. That's what you want.
Speaker 2:Yeah, you're awesome to be like you know what. I feel comfortable with you and I trust you. So I think you hit it on the head with the trust piece. Just Christmas socks.
Speaker 3:Just me and Christmas. She loves Christmas. It will happen. Love it, it will happen. So what do you think in styling like, what piece of clothing do you feel women have the most reservation with and women are most excited about?
Speaker 2:Ooh, that's a good one, all right, so most reservation. I will find that people have a tendency to have the most difficult time with jeans, right, because everybody's bottoms are different, everybody's hips are different, everybody's height is different. So the one thing I like about where I currently style is they have short, regular and long. So I feel like that helps people with different body types, because it's not custom made for everybody. But you know what, if you're a five foot nine or you're a five foot two, you may be able to pull off the same jean now with that adjustment. So I feel like jeans are definitely one of the most difficult pieces. I feel like one of the best pieces is dresses. Everyone loves to shop for a great dress, right, it's like party dress I hate wearing dresses.
Speaker 3:You have no idea, it's one of my things, oh so then you're definitely getting a dress.
Speaker 2:Yeah, it's one of my things.
Speaker 3:If I go to a wedding, I have probably 500 fancy rompers, like glittered out and whatever. If we're a business casual somewhere, tracy's always in a dress and I'm always in like a pantsuit, or I just always felt more comfortable in pants, or really cute jumper.
Speaker 1:You got me out of my comfort zone because I worried your romper for two events so far.
Speaker 3:That's right, I'm a dress person all the way.
Speaker 2:You're a dress girl, you're a romper girl.
Speaker 1:The jeans are so true because we actually talked about this on a previous episode about member execute Q13. Yes, with the jeans, I've been on a hunt for bell bottom jeans and the sizing is right where you said. So everyone I put up a post about women are age. If it's appropriate to wear a crop top, right and I feel like, well, it's a worn right and you feel comfortable and confident you can wear it. So I put up a picture. But everyone's like you need bell bottoms with like high rise jeans. I can't wear them, they don't feel comfortable on me, so maybe you need to find a pair for me.
Speaker 3:I would agree with that. I think that that's a really good challenge for you, Because all your jeans are very similar and you say I don't wear them, I'm uncomfortable.
Speaker 2:But maybe you just didn't try the right one Right, and the trend now is anything Bell, bottom straight leg, you name it, you can wear it.
Speaker 1:I can't find a pair that fits because, like you said so, your body frame is different. So with the high rise jeans, they just don't ever fit me correctly. But I can't find one, so this is why I stylist. I would need one. I'm gonna pour your emergency phone.
Speaker 3:I never had any emergency. The bat line, the bat line. I like that, that's awesome.
Speaker 1:You can drop that number when you leave.
Speaker 3:So I think that specifically you style for White House Black Market right now.
Speaker 2:That's my love brand. That's your love brand.
Speaker 3:And you know, for me that store was always completely unattainable. It was just a store that I passed in the mall and it was always like the really pretty store that was also like not in the mall, it was outside the mall, like it's very. It was always so fancy and I always wanted to go in there. But new one. There was a time in my life where I couldn't even buy anything in there financially but second layer to that, they did not have my size in that store.
Speaker 3:And it was always a place that I wanted to go and I remember the first time I went into that store was for my daughter's communion. I was probably I wasn't at my goal weight, maybe I was 80 pounds down, I don't even know. But I wanted to wear a white suit for the first time ever in my life. Not a white dress, a white suit. And I was like, well, where else would I go?
Speaker 3:But White House, black like that makes sense, like where would I go? And I went in there and I remember meeting a woman that was in there, that worked there, and she was the kindest lady and she handed me this white jacket and this white pair of pants. And I'm thinking to myself like these are not going to fit me, and they fit me so beautiful. And I left feeling so incredible. It's amazing Just thinking to myself like one, I just bought a white suit. Two financially we've gotten to a place where I can buy this white suit. And three, a beautiful woman just poured her heart into me and it made me feel so special. That was probably the first and last time anybody styled.
Speaker 3:I mean she inadvertently styled it. I knew what I wanted, but she was like here. She was just such a beautiful soul and that was just a beautiful experience for me. It really was.
Speaker 2:But it's nice that you take away that memory and that's what I hope people take away after they meet me. Yeah, you know someone. Now, well, these years later, you remember that person and you're like, wow, she made me feel good. Yeah, and that's the key.
Speaker 3:All right, so let's talk about the elephant in the room on styling with jewelry.
Speaker 2:Okay, Should we talk about that? Let's do it Okay.
Speaker 3:So I will fully admit that I do not change my jewelry ever. I wear, like. My husband always buys me jewelry, whether it's an anniversary, it's a Christmas, it's just something that's important to me. I probably have some deep rooted issues that I have to leave my daughter's oldest jewelry Like. They're probably something I should talk to my therapist about. It's probably there and that's fine, but he always buys me jewelry. We're together. Yesterday was our 19 year wedding anniversary. Oh, congrats, Thank you. And like he, it's just I've always had it, so I always wear it. I don't buy any kind of earrings that are costume earrings Is that? Is that what it's called? Like I don't buy. I don't buy any costume earrings.
Speaker 3:I don't buy any anything ever, once in a while, or fashion jewelry.
Speaker 2:Fashion jewelry. Yes, yes, I don't, I don't. So I wear my diamond stud earrings.
Speaker 3:I wear typically something that he bought me for my neck. I wear my tennis bracelet, whatever, and I never pushed myself to try anything different, but I do think that it might complete an outfit differently. What are your thoughts? And Tracy's the opposite. Like Tracy will wear earrings and like, like I'm not sure, and like really just earrings, but at most of my jewelry I wear this.
Speaker 1:This is actually what you bought me, so I never take this off. And then this is I think you actually bought me this.
Speaker 2:So I'll buy fashion jewelry I was going to say not only do you have a jewelry obsession, right.
Speaker 1:Single life. Your best friend buys you all the jewelry, so, but then I have this. This is AJ, so I alternate between this and a diamond pendant that I got when I graduated graduate school, but my earrings are usually custom jewelry because I don't have anybody to buy me diamond studs, and that was one of my things that I always wanted to buy myself.
Speaker 2:I was going to say, but I have for yourself.
Speaker 1:Yes, and. I worked so long in a jewelry store Remember oh my god, I did own lots of diamonds. When I met you, you were in the jewelry store. Yeah, some of my good jewelry I hardly have a wear. That's part of the healing process. I'm still attaching my memories to some of that stuff. And then there were times in my life I sold all of it. So I'm down to what I have.
Speaker 3:So how important is fashion jewelry?
Speaker 1:So for me, like what you have on right now, when I see a woman coming out like you, looking beautiful and I'm looking at your earrings, I'm looking at your necklace, they match your belt I'm like how does she do that? So when I get, when I get dressed up to go out with my girlfriends and I'm you know, I might put a blazer on with a body suit, and I got heels on and now I'm like all right, well, this is the ring I'm wearing. That's where.
Speaker 1:I stop, I stop right there. I stop right there. Occasionally, I'll put the bracelet on this hand and I'll put my Movado watch on that I bought myself for a special occasion and then that's it. Then the costume earrings go on and that's really the only thing I alternate over my earrings.
Speaker 2:You see, for me I think and I'm guilty of it too, because it's an effort it takes an effort to like, take what you have on off, put it on, you know, but it makes the outfit. In my opinion, accessories, belts, jewelry, whether they, you know, whether it's, you know, fashion or real. I kind of mix both, like this is my real ring, but then these are from White House, the necklace and the earrings. So I think if you could always mix it up too, you don't have to take everything off and have everything match. But it's a nice mix to make sure that you know, every day you're kind of like, you know, tailoring it to your outfit. It completes the outfit I have to get it together.
Speaker 2:I have to get it. So I know jewelry is on our list. I'm taking mental notes, ladies, yeah it's definitely a struggle for me.
Speaker 3:I don't even own anything. That's not something that Terrence bought for me.
Speaker 1:We actually have a friend that when we travel with her she literally has the suit case.
Speaker 3:She rolls it out and it's all earrings. She's got it right and it's amazing and it makes her feel good, good Right, and I love that about her and I just never thought that it was something for me. You know what? I bet I'm going to fall into it and I'm just going to predict this. I'm going to put my studs in my second hole that's what I do and then I'm going to have a roll out of your earrings.
Speaker 2:That's what I do. I have my diamonds in the second, and then I just switch out the bottoms.
Speaker 3:So this is why you still have it.
Speaker 2:You have a second hole still I do. Yeah, have you used it recently? I had to like ice my ear. It's probably still there. The third one is probably I got the gun. I'm consoling you.
Speaker 3:The third one is probably not there. The second one might still be there. I love everything about it. I love the idea that we're going to push ourselves to try new things.
Speaker 2:I'm so excited.
Speaker 3:And it's something that you're willing to embrace, like I'm sure there's lots of people who are really excited to have a stylist, that they use all the time and call you for emergencies and things like that, and it's awesome that you're open to people who really are nervous and want to push themselves, to learn more about themselves, even on the other side of a health journey. Just another reason, another display of not evolving, of not arriving anywhere.
Speaker 2:And we virtually style too. So if people aren't local and they can't come in the store but they're like, hey, I still want to be styled, that's awesome. We can virtually style too. So it's not like you have to feel. There may be a little trial and error with the try on sessions and whatnot, but it could work for everybody. So all women have the ability. So if someone's listening and they're like, oh, I'm not close to a store, I'd really like to do that, you can still do that too.
Speaker 1:So what would you say to a woman that I remember when Nicole was getting those boxes and I didn't want to buy them? Like I was, I'm very frugal and I also didn't care about clothing, Even when I was losing weight. I was just excited I can go to own a view and buy some jeans there for the first time. And what would you say to those women that may think that it's expensive or they just maybe are not feeling comfortable in their bodies, that they don't even wanna, they don't have that motivation to get dressed? What would you say to those women that's a good question.
Speaker 2:I mean Chico's FAS hired me complimentary to the clients. So when you work with a stylist, I know some people think you need to spend a certain amount or you need to pay a fee With these particular companies. They want women to feel their best, so they hire us to make that happen.
Speaker 3:I love a lot about those companies.
Speaker 2:I have to tell you I support that 100% Chico's, FAS, White House, Black Market and Soma. They're all sister companies and they are very, very good to women and I feel like my job is a part of that. I think that they really think about the clients. So when you're talking about, like you know, fees, I think people think of personal stylist. They think of like, oh, I need to spend a certain dollar or I need to pay a fee. They do it for you. So it's all complimentary to the client to make them look and feel like that I mean shout out to those stores.
Speaker 3:That is absolutely amazing, because I can imagine that some people are feeling held back, thinking that financially it's not something that they can do. But the reality is is investing in yourself doesn't always have to be about money Dollars right.
Speaker 3:And that's a huge shift for probably so many people that hear this, and I encourage you that, if you're listening to this and you wanna push yourself and you want to experience shopping without your own baggage, that that's what you wanna visit. And our girl, carissa, yay, of course, of course. And to stay tuned for, like, we're styling next week, we booked some time for next week.
Speaker 1:We challenged.
Speaker 2:Yeah, do we talk about this.
Speaker 3:Yeah, we're gonna talk about it. I think we should preview it a little bit. I mean, you gotta get excited, because I'm excited Is it?
Speaker 1:is it wait before we talk really about it? Or is it kind of like gonna be like the fashion show you guys do? Because I watched the fashion show you had last weekend. Oh, you did, it was pretty cool, thank you. Yes, thank you so much. And then I feel like those models weren't really like models.
Speaker 2:They weren't.
Speaker 1:They weren't right. So can you talk a little bit about that, cause I, when I watched it, I felt so great like seeing women. They're feeling like they actually felt nervous, like I felt they were nervous, but they did such a beautiful job.
Speaker 2:They were great. So I had a younger girl, I had a girl in her 40s and then we had someone somewhere in between. We actually had the DM was supposed to do it and she's a little bit on the old, mature side. So we were trying to get everybody, you know, from all genres, so everybody can kind of get a sense of like this is for everyone, which is funny that you picked up on that. Unfortunately, one of the ladies got sick, but we did have a great showing and we just picked out outfits that maybe people wouldn't necessarily think of. I mean, there were so many people that came up after the show and they were like, wow, I never would have thought to pair those pants with that top. And it was just like I wanted people to feel I didn't want models, I didn't want your typical runway, I wanted, like the everyday woman and the people watching, to feel like, oh, wow, I can do that too. So that was kind of the thought behind the fashion show is like pick, I like that. Yeah, pick, that's awesome.
Speaker 1:My observation of human behavior still kicks in here and there. That's a great thing, all right. Well, really, I was like I hope she's not gonna make me and Nicole rock on that red carpet with the light flashing, but that's really what I was thinking.
Speaker 3:I will strut that red carpet with my Christmas socks, with her Christmas socks only Tell them I love Christmas.
Speaker 1:I do love Christmas it makes her so happy. I know the cop.
Speaker 2:It was, like you would think, the Christmas cop, right she?
Speaker 3:was dunking and did it right. So I am really excited to be able to push ourselves. We're gonna meet up with Chris next week and have an official styling and be able to share that with all the followers, and maybe we could do a little challenge Like what do you think? Oh, I love that Chris is gonna style us in.
Speaker 2:I like where you're going with this that's fun. Let's do something like that.
Speaker 3:Yeah, so we'll put up a post and or like what do they wanna see you guys in?
Speaker 2:Yes, I will love that. I like to do something like that.
Speaker 3:I'm sure that would be great. So this week we'll put up some polls and really get some ideas on what our followers want to see us wearing.
Speaker 1:They're gonna look at us today Like they really need help.
Speaker 3:I know so if you're listening right now. I came straight from the gym, so I'm wearing my yellow tennis ball-colored sneakers and my Amazon workout leggings and a sweatshirt that just says hope dealer, because it truly is my favorite sweatshirt.
Speaker 3:We all need a little bit more hope dealing in this world and this is my go-to. So if I have a gym day, I typically would wear this for the rest of the day. And no, I don't shower after the gym. I go about my day. For all those that are wondering that question no, I don't.
Speaker 1:That's why the dry shampoo is very important.
Speaker 3:Yes, I spray my hair with dry shampoo. I go about my day. Yes, I do shower at night Okay, don't get nervous but like, I am going about my day and I'm not showering after the gym. So this is my typical look. So I do need something that's gonna transition me from gym. But then I also have a really large amount of business casual, formal wear, which I don't know what I have so much, but I do have a significant amount. So that lost in between space is really my thing. But I think a poll would be really great from our followers to see what they would love to see us. Yeah, I think that would be really fun.
Speaker 3:Try new things and you're getting new genes.
Speaker 2:I like new jeans. We're going to do a jean fit for you for sure.
Speaker 1:That makes me nervous.
Speaker 3:See, but I think that our followers and women in general should know that it's not about the size you are, it's not about where you are even on your health journey. It's not about where you are even on your mindset journey. We talked a lot about that last week, that those old feelings and those reservations and those emotions are always going to be there. But if you're there to talk it through with someone you trust, or a friend, or we keep going back to that same concept of a healthy community surrounding yourself, with women that are going to lift you, surround yourself, with women that are going to support you, you're going to be there with me. You're going to be there with Carissa and you're going to feel different. I'm feeling the same way. Oh my gosh, she's going to hand me a dress. It's going to be a four. I probably need a six.
Speaker 1:Can't wait to see Nicole in a dress.
Speaker 3:Or it's going to be a zero and I really need the two, or whatever I know, but think about it.
Speaker 2:All those emotions come, but what would be the worst thing?
Speaker 3:right, that's what you have to think about.
Speaker 2:I know you have all of these emotions that come to the table, but I don't for you.
Speaker 3:So I'm looking at you like a blank canvas. So you're giving women the ability to simply let go, and that is incredible to just have as something that you do. It's just allowing women to let go. It's powerful.
Speaker 1:What I love what you just said, Carissa. We have talked about how we see other people through, and we wish that they can see us through our eyes Did I say that right?
Speaker 3:I got that right. It's a long concept.
Speaker 1:So I think that's beautiful, that you can actually whether it's a stranger or a referral, somebody you may have just had a conversation with that's coming to see you but when you look at them, you're just seeing them from that blank slate and you are looking at a beautiful woman Like no matter what, no matter what they're carrying no matter what they're going through that day but you have in your head. I'm going to create this feeling.
Speaker 1:For this woman to feel so amazing is beautiful, because there are times that I want to feel, that I want to know what she well, I know half the time what she's thinking about me but like, even for somebody like I look at, I'm going to say Chris was putting me in jeans that I probably like would never wear, and there were maybe jeans that I saw you wear that I would have loved to wear, but I didn't have the confidence to go find them and buy them, you know. So I love that, I love that part. I think that's so important.
Speaker 2:I mean, and worst case, I mean don't get me wrong that every section is like a slam home run. You know, slam home run.
Speaker 3:Are you afraid?
Speaker 1:The pressure run oh man, I'm sweating now.
Speaker 2:I accept the challenge, but I just you know. You have to know, like not everything, we may not find a pair of jeans that you love, and that's okay, because somewhere out there there is a pair of jeans for you and we'll find those.
Speaker 1:I mean, I do love the jeans that I have. They're very comfortable, but everyone keeps saying about these high rise jeans and the high rise jeans just don't fit me right. Is that possible? Can it be possible that your body just doesn't look and feel right in a specific way? Is there?
Speaker 2:Of 100%, and I think that that's half the goal, or the half of the challenge for me. If styling is, not everything fits everybody the same and not everyone looks good in everything. You could look good in something that I don't, you know. It's just knowing what's right for you and your body, and that's my job is to kind of explore that and you know, sometimes it's through trial and error, but we definitely usually get a great end result. Like I want to, I could wear this outfit.
Speaker 1:I would feel comfortable wearing what you're wearing. Yeah, why not? I love that.
Speaker 2:You can absolutely do it. I would never pick that off. I would never pick that off.
Speaker 1:I would never. I would never In a million years.
Speaker 3:pick that off the rack ever? No, I wouldn't need that.
Speaker 1:I mean, I'm sure she looks beautiful. You look beautiful in it.
Speaker 3:Thank you. I actually probably think that I would look really nice in it, but I still would have never picked it up.
Speaker 1:I don't think I would ever see you in stockings in a mini skirt. Why not?
Speaker 3:No, I mean, I can, but I remember back in the day, when we used to, I used to wear those.
Speaker 2:Let's not talk about those. No, let's talk about it.
Speaker 3:Those were bad news. I mean listen at the time. They served its purpose. We have a really beautiful friend that used to sell Luloro clothes. Yes, and I was addicted to their Cassie skirt, just because it was elastic. You could fit that over your head and wear it.
Speaker 1:It didn't matter what size it was a two-size.
Speaker 3:Yeah, you could do anything with it. There was a million prints. I had a million prints because the two-axe fit me perfect. I actually felt good in it because it wasn't uncomfortable. Didn't cut me in areas that I didn't want to be cut.
Speaker 1:You had to wear the Phoebe thing or something.
Speaker 3:Yeah, I had to wear a lot of undergarments to put it together, but I had every color and maybe that's part of my reservations. Now moving forward is that I wore that skirt to everything. I had every color, so I probably haven't worn a mini skirt. I don't think that's considered a mini skirt.
Speaker 1:There was a flower one right.
Speaker 3:Yeah, I had a lot of flowers and I haven't worn a pencil type skirt. Is that what that was really called? Yes, A pencil type skirt probably since then, probably because of how I felt. I mean, I'm just being honest.
Speaker 1:All right. Well, we are nervous, but very excited.
Speaker 2:Me too, me too, me nervous. Be very excited.
Speaker 1:Nicole will put together a poll.
Speaker 2:Yeah, we're going to put together a poll. Yeah, I love that idea. I think it's great.
Speaker 3:I'm all about it. Yeah, I'm excited.
Speaker 1:Red evaporates.
Speaker 3:Now I need to really stand up to see what we're wearing today.
Speaker 1:I'd love to again spend time with something else we put out, However.
Speaker 3:I'd like it if they had a thank you vote.
Speaker 2:That's great Me, because it tries to reinforce and impress and so that it looks like we've used that in all the small things, that things we've done and that we've done.
Speaker 3:So I definitely agree with them. We were really thrilled and we really love everything that you've done there, who hope that you're ready to step out of your comfort zone and let Carissa put her heart into you, because I think that when picking the stylist, trust is the first thing. And this is only the second time I'm talking to you and I truly trust you for next week, so it's beautiful, so Thank you so much ladies.
Speaker 1:I appreciate it. She trusts you so much she's gonna take those diamonds out of her ears.
Speaker 2:Yeah, diamonds, I wanna see them in the second hole. I'm gonna put them in, I'm gonna. I'll be she's crying Follow me.
Speaker 3:Don't put the fake earrings in my ears. Follow me to see me re-pierce my second hole on Instagram and Tracy's gonna do it From her piercing for good deeds and it will happen. I will make it happen, but thank you guys so much. It was so great having you with us Carissa Tracy.
Speaker 2:thank you very much.
