Welcome back to Fuel for Tho'ed and Powering Women's Relief, healthier Lifestyles. I'm Tracy Elizabeth, I'm Nicole Heller and we are here with our friend Carissa again. We are so excited that you're back. We wanted to come together for a quick recap because our last podcast we talked a lot about being styled and the excitement of being styled and how amazing you are at styling, but I think that we wanted to give our top three hits on ready to make that. You're ready to make that decision. You're going to get styled. You called Carissa and you know what are the top three steps and Carissa's biggest takeaway for you guys to take too. So what is the first thing that you want the followers to know when they're getting ready to walk in?
Speaker 2:Sure. Well, if you're coming for styling, I think you need to look at your closet and see what are you missing. Like what are the gaps? Like where do you need to fill? Do you have casual clothes, evening clothes, going out clothes? Do you need? What do you need really when you're coming in there? Knowing what you have kind of helps you to style for what you need.
Speaker 1:So what if you don't think you need anything?
Speaker 2:We'll find you something, just go anyway, just go anyway, I like that If you're like listen, I need everything or I need nothing. We'll let you know what you need.
Speaker 3:That includes accessories Of course Including a purse, because we just mentioned that before.
Speaker 2:Yes, shoes, purses earrings, all those things, shoes, sandbags, jewelry, for sure.
Speaker 1:I like that, knowing your gaps. So my whole thing about going into styling is one to well. Number two is to really just let go of the baggage. Trust the process, trust the person, go into it feeling like you've just let it go, just released everything Right, all the baggage that you've carried from maybe a health journey, maybe not a health journey, maybe a mindset journey, maybe a financial journey. Just let everything go, go of the baggage and walk in there with a completely clean slate and allow someone else to pour into you.
Speaker 2:Amazing, definitely.
Speaker 3:Yeah. So my third thing is the do's and the don'ts. So a lot of times we're going to walk in like for me, if I'm coming into you, I'm going to tell you this is what I do, do, do, do, do. And these are my don'ts. So I don't do the high rise jeans. So part of that is really just getting rid of the don'ts and really just letting go of that, like you said, but walking in with an open mindset of trusting Carissa, trusting your stylist, and really thinking about saying yes more than no.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and we've talked about that.
Speaker 3:Yeah, we talked a lot about that and that has been one of my biggest focus throughout my whole journey is that when I get that gut feeling that I want to lean into the don't I have to lean into the I'm going to.
Speaker 3:Right and I want to, even though I don't and really just saying, if I have this beautiful woman here that is a professional and all-heart and ready to make me feel amazing, then I'm going to trust that and I'm going to borrow that confidence and maybe on the whole way there say I'm not, I'm not, I'm not. But then before I get out of my car, practice saying I will, right, and I'm going to embrace that, no matter how uncomfortable I am, because what is the worst that's going to happen.
Speaker 2:Exactly, you try it and you don't like it, and then you know. But if you don't try it, you won't know. Yeah, and we talked about that.
Speaker 1:And the last podcast before. What number was that on mindset?
Speaker 1:Whatever, it was 15 I believe About mindset really going in open and not closed, going in above the line and, when you're feeling that drift, to lean into the fact that you're there with someone who doesn't have those emotions you have and just being open to growth, being open to learning, instead of being so closed and below that line and that just reminds me to other things that we talked about is giving yourself grace and don't be so hard on yourself when you're looking at yourself in the mirror or when you're putting the clothes on.
Speaker 3:Just trust the process, have fun, enjoy the moment and lean into the stylist and you had spoken to be spoken about, really feeling comfortable and confident with the person that is saying no, you look beautiful.
Speaker 2:Right, it's important to trust your stylist because you know there's sometimes you know we've all been in that store where the woman is there and she's like you look great and you're like, no, I don't think I do, you know. So you have to be with someone like for myself. I will tell you you look great and I will tell you when we need to keep moving on and searching. So I think that's super important to make sure that you're comfortable and you find the right person who's going to tell you honestly what looks good on you.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and I would ask a stylist if I was saying when someone like, no really are you going to be honest with me, or are you going to, or are you just wanting to buy these pants? Like let's be really so, like just being open and honest and knowing you know that there is a buyer beware situation.
Speaker 1:But, that's an important part for you, because what you do is really important, and I think that that's what people need to take away most from this podcast is allowing someone to pour into you like that, without your reservations, is a really important part of growth for anyone on a health journey or not. And giving yourself grace. I love that. Let's close with that Giving yourself that grace of really you know it doesn't matter what size you are, as long as you're making 1% progress every single day to what's important to you. You made commitments, you're honoring them to yourself, and that you cannot truly heal something that you hate. So I love that.
Speaker 3:Absolutely All right, we'll list out top three.
Speaker 1:Thank you, guys, so much. Thank you again. You can follow us on FuelFootorg, on Instagram, and we will put up Carissa's Handles as well. They're right below in our description. Thank you so much, carissa, for joining us.
Speaker 3:Thank you so much for having me and we will see you guys again Bye.
Speaker 1:Thanks for watching.
