Do everything that terrifies you; growth and comfort cannot coexist
In today’s episode, I talk about my belief surrounding how growth and comfort simply cannot coexist. I strongly emphasize that the only true way to achieve growth is by doing absolutely everything that terrifies you, no matter how big or small the fear may be.
Just do it scared.
I expand on some key moments in my life where I walked straight into my fears and what this looked like for me personally.
Your fears are likely ones you’ve created as a figment of your own imagination. And on the other side of those fears is a future version of yourself who has fulfilled endless amounts of growth IN SPITE OF said fears.
Throughout the chapters in my life, I have revealed to myself that my growth could only ever be followed by large amounts of discomfort. Once I started walking into my fears and welcomed the discomfort, I allowed myself the space to experience more opportunities where I could effectively grow and consequently, those fears ceased to existed. And that’s precisely when and where the abundance of self-growth fully unlocks.
Force yourself to venture outside of the cushy walls you’ve created as your comfort zone.
Fly so far outside of that comfort zone so much so that you no longer identify with it.
Seek out discomfort by doing everything that scares you and see how far it takes you.
