Alyssa Kaying Vang, PsyD, LP, BC-TMH

Alyssa Kaying Vang PsyD, LP, BC-TMH is considered a pioneer and a leader in the field of Hmong mental health. She has over twenty years of clinical experience working with immigrant and refugee populations.  Dr. Vang holds a Masters and a Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology.  She is a graduate of the American Psychological Association Leadership Institute for Women in Psychology. As CEO and Founder of Vanguard Mental Health and Wellness Clinic, Dr. Vang leads a team of bilingual mental health clinicians in providing culturally-responsive, linguistically-competent, and clinically-grounded mental health services. She is a national consultant and trainer on culturally-relevant, trauma-informed, and developmentally-appropriate practices. Dr. Vang has been featured in the APA’s journal, Monitor on Psychology.  She co-authored the chapter “Neuropsychology of Hmong-Americans” in “The Neuropsychology of Asian-Americans” book.
