Episode #35 - Hustle More Money over Chirstmas Time
As the holiday season approaches, consider upselling your cleaning services to clients. Ensure schedules remain consistent and accommodate any changes ahead of time. Selling is about building relationships and offering services consultatively. Upselling can increase income; offer additional services like adding toppings to a baked potato. Gift certificates for cleaning services make great gifts. Consider offering pre-payment options and party cleaning services. Partner with other small businesses for cross-advertising opportunities.

Upselling your services during the holiday season. Everyone wants their home cleaned and ready for holiday guests.
Connect with your clients to make sure everyone's schedule will stay the same through the holidays. If they need change, you can do that ahead of time to prevent holes in your schedule
Selling is part of your business.
You are building relationships and selling your service constantly to your clients and potential clients. Upselling is essential. You can increase your income now (and all year) by upselling your services. Think of it this way, when you go to dinner and they ask if you want baked potato, sweet potato or fries. You said "Baked Potato", Do you want that loaded? Would you like to add bacon? This is an upsell!
Be prepared. When you ask a client if they would like a specific service, ask them if they want more, offer them additional services that you can provide.
Gift certificates for cleaning services make great gifts! If you sell several of them, its ok to not let them cash in all at once. You can tell them your schedule is full until xx.
This way you can spread out those cleanings. This could be 'black out dates'.
Ask clients if they would like to pre-pay for 6 months of services. There are some caveats to this, Shannon shares them in our podcast.
Offer party cleaning for their holiday gatherings.
Partner with other small business owners and cross advertise.
