As an avid student of life, learning, growing and changing have been guiding my interest for myself and then, others for the past 42 years.  As a student of the “school of hard knocks”, there was a lot to overcome.  We were a military family and moved a lot, divorce and addiction were multi-generational, and secrets were a big part of our family heritage.  I was academically gifted but lacked the confidence and motivation to succeed.  As a Christian believer, faith has been the biggest and strongest part in growing up in life, but many other people, books, classes, and training have helped me become an overcomer.  Many times, in the hardest places of life, I wished someone could tell me what they did to get through it.  A tip, piece of information, a website, a group, any knowledge they already had.  So, my goal at 60 years old is to share the stories of others who found answers and are brave enough to tell with sincerity and truth.
