Beth Brown

Beth Brown is the director of communications for Mountain Pacific. Beth started her career in journalism and has a demonstrated history of strong media and communications skills. Her more than 25 years of professional experience took her from newspaper and television news to teaching high school English and coaching volleyball to proofreading and editing to nonprofit direct marketing, promotional marketing and communications. A writer at heart, Beth also loves to travel, watch movies, read thriller and suspense novels and snuggle her two rescue mutts.

Dr. Douglas Kuntzweiler

Dr. Douglas Kuntzweiler  has more than 40 years of health care experience, starting as a certified nurse assistant in a long-term care facility in Ames, Iowa, and finishing at St. Peter’s Health in Helena, Montana, when he retired in 2018 after being an emergency department physician for 27 years. He is certified with the Board of American Academy of Family Practice and has cared for patients at every point in their lives, from neonatal care to hospice care. 

Dr. Kuntzweiler has been an advocate for serving the health and health care needs among disparate populations and has traveled around the world to serve his country with the U.S. Air Force, Army Reserve and Army National Guard, receiving the Air Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster in 1972 and the Army Commendation Medal in 2007.

Dr. Tiffany Kniepkamp

Tiffany Kniepkamp, MD, works in the emergency department at St. Peter's Health in Helena, Montana. She earned her medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle. She completed her emergency medicine residency at University of Chicago Medicine. Dr. Kniepkamp attended Montana State University for her undergraduate degrees in cell biology and neuroscience and in chemistry.

Dr. Kniepkamp is a member of the Montana Medical Association, the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Emergency Medicine, among other professional memberships.


Prior to working at St. Peter's, Dr. Kniepkamp worked as chief flight physician for University of Chicago Emergency Medicine.

Kyla Newland

Kyla Newland graduated from University of Wyoming School of Pharmacy in 2007. She has additional training in ambulatory care pharmacy with certifications in cardiovascular risk assessment, diabetes, medication therapy management and vaccinations. As a pharmacist for Mountain Pacific, Kyla works on several patient safety initiatives across Alaska, including reducing adverse drug events, opioid safety, chronic disease management and immunization promotion. She also works as a community pharmacist conducting health screenings, medication therapy management and immunization services. She enjoys direct patient care as well as working with patients and partners throughout Alaska to improve health care.
