Getting Out is Hosted By Me, Jesse AlXander, Im a singer/songwriter, musician, and audio engineer…..oh yeah, I’m also an ex con and a recovering addict. I have 6 years clean from heroin. 3 of which were spent in prison, all during covid and locked down 24 hours a day for the majority of my time. So every day is a gift that I have to remind myself to even open.

I spent most of my young life in the Entertainment industry.

I worked and played with artists such as The Sugar Hill Gang, Biz Markie, Poppa Don, Phoebe Ryan, Inner Party System, Gym Class Hero's, Silversun Pickups, Tony Henry, Borialis, Ty Wiz and Keith Spaulding. Yet I went down the wrong path and before I knew it I was in sooo deep I didn't think id ever be able to get out let alone repair all the damage i caused. But I’m alive and I’m free.

I started Getting Out to tackle topics such as addiction, mental health and Prison Life-which comes with stories of loved ones passing and a lot of pain and suffering. But also stories of redemption and over coming. Getting Out gives us a chance to look at ourselves and past mistakes. It hopefully gives you the knowledge to keep yourself from stumbling into something similar. Or maybe your just interested in what prison life is like and want a good laugh. We got you
