Getting Out With Jesse Xander
Raw, unfiltered, conversations and interviews filled with laughter.
Getting Out is Hosted By Me, Jesse Xander, Im a singer/songwriter, musician, and audio engineer…..oh yeah, I’m also an ex con and a recovering addict. I spent 3 years in prison, during the covid pandemic and locked down 24 hours a day for the majority of my time. So every day is a gift that I have to remind myself to even open.
I spent most of my young life in the Entertainment industry. I had the privilege to work with artists such as The Sugar Hill Gang, Biz Markie, Poppa Don, Inner Party System, Ty Wiz and many others but before I knew it I was in sooo deep I didn't think id ever be able to GET OUT, let alone repair all the damage I caused. But I’m alive and I’m free.
I started Getting Out to tackle topics such as addiction, mental health and Prison Life-which comes with stories of loved ones passing and a lot of pain. But also stories of redemption and over coming. GETTING OUT gives us a chance to look at ourselves our past mistakes, and hopefully help someone that is dealing with something similar.. Or maybe you’re just interested in what prison life is like and want a good laugh? We got you.
Learn to laugh at the person you were, use your mistakes as your personal super power.
So lets get out together!

Getting Out With Jesse Xander
From Traffic Stop To Power Trip: How Policing Breeds Distrust
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
We examine a couple of traffic stops, like an older driver who refuses field sobriety tests yet offers to take a breathalyzer, but the cop refuses. He’s a little unsteady, his words slur a bit, and his life experience shows in his posture. BUT!
None of that proves intoxication. We break down why field tests are easy to fail even when sober, how aging and disability skew “clues,” and why objective measures should come first when safety allows. Our take is simple: measure truth before you measure obedience. or Just measure their B.A.L using your BREATHALYZER!

Setting The Stage: Why Distrust Cops
Speaker 2Alright, everybody, so today's topic is why everybody hates cops. And we're gonna show you a couple of obvious examples right here. And JR, after you see some of this, you can chime in and let me know.
Speaker 1You don't have a very strong opinion about this. That's what I'm trying to say.
Speaker 2So yeah, we're we're about to show some uh videos that actually can enrage some people. Me specific. Yeah, and me, and me as well. So let's uh check out what this is all about.
Speaker 3Last time you didn't.
Speaker 4Oh, that was you!
Speaker 3That was me. This is citation for driver's speed license, okay? Just sit tap right here, Philip. Why is he running? He doesn't even have a warrant.
Speaker 2Robert, you're good, bud! He doesn't have a warrant! He said, Why is he running? He doesn't even have a warrant. Sorry, force the habit.
Speaker 3Look at me. Just sit tap right here, Philip. Why is he running? He doesn't even have a warrant.
Speaker 2Robert, you're good, bud.
Speaker 3Just a trap, Robert.
Speaker 2So wait, you're like. Oh, this guy's cool, dude. Alright, top sorry. He can't even make it. He died.
Speaker 4Dude, you just messed up, dude. You know what I was gonna do? Uh look at me. No, I want you to look at me.
Speaker 1You know what I'll he's not about to lock him up after this. That'd be great.
Speaker 2He said, hold on. Give me a break.
Speaker 1Time out. Time out.
Speaker 2So wait, wait, wait. I am sorry, man.
Speaker 1I wish I could do that in a couple of years. What do you gotta say?
Speaker 4Okay. Go ahead. I was gonna have you drive her car. Because you got a valid license, bro. No, I don't. Yes, you do.
SpeakerHe's crazy.
Speaker 2No, I don't, dude. He's like, yeah, you got a valid license, bro. No, I don't, dude. Yeah, you do, Roger. What do you what's wrong with you?
SpeakerHe's a massive.
Speaker 4Now you're going to jail for fleeing. Don't displease me, bro. No, sir. I don't care. Give me your hands. I'm about to, I'm about to knock you out, bro. I will knock you the hell out. Quit. God damn. God damn it. You're gonna learn today, son. You're gonna learn. And you kept running like two miles an hour. I could have just walked and got you.
Speaker 2That's what he said.
Speaker 1Dude, that's fucked up, right?
Speaker 2That's fucked up, right? And the way he presented himself in the beginning was that, like, oh, this guy's just being retarded.
Speaker 1It's an even bigger piece of shit now for being like, oh, he shouldn't have ran.
Speaker 2And then now he gives you another.
Speaker 1Like, no, bro.
Speaker 2That's so fucked up.
Speaker 1You went from shitty cop to shittier cop.
From “Okay Cop” To Threats And Arrest
Speaker 2Yeah, you went, no, from okay cop. Like, no, because he was like, he was just laughing at the running. No, yeah, he was just laughing at the running, and then like you think that he was just gonna tell him, like, dude, calm down. You got a license. You have a license. There's no warrants out for your arrest. But yet, I'm on a room. Because I can, and I have a power for you just when you have power, dude, there's just something that happens, and I can have I can fuck you over. So guess what? I'm going to. And tell me how it feels as it's going inside, my friend, because that's how the US Justice Department works. I mean, am I right or am I right?
Speaker 1You can't be so willing to abuse power unless you have like a very tiny penis. I feel it.
Speaker 2And this and the couple other guys, I think, does it say it correlates? I don't know. You want to see the next one? Yeah, go ahead.
Speaker 1Alright, let's go. Saying though, do the math.
DUI Stop: Misread Cues And Assumptions
Speaker 2Right? Exactly. It adds up, right? Calm down, buddy. Third dams you turn.
Speaker 3What are the attitude? How much had you drink today? Not very much. How much is not very much? You don't know? Okay. Well, you're unsteady on your feet.
Speaker 2So, what do you think this is right now? You think he had a couple drinks? I mean, yeah, you could tell. But no, because he said I had a couple drinks right now.
Speaker 1Yeah, yeah. He said uh, what do you say, maybe a few or something?
Speaker 2He had a few. So, how old do you think this man is?
Speaker 1Come on, this guy's in his 60s.
Speaker 2The way he's looking right now, he kind of like got he's probably been through some shit. Yeah, he looks like like maybe a war veteran.
Speaker 1I was just about to say, like a Vietnam veteran or adjacent. Okay.
Speaker 3Are you going to consent to field sobriety exercises? Absolutely not.
Speaker 4I'll do a breath of lighter. So, how much did you have to drink today? Not enough. Not enough.
Speaker 3Something like you have a thick tongue slurring your words just a tad of bit, so I'm just want to make sure. Because I'm old.
Speaker 4I'm dishable combat veteran.
Speaker 3No. Okay. So what I'm gonna need to do right now is gonna need to put your hands behind your back, you're under arrest for D UI.
Speaker 2So now his wife comes. Context. His wife comes, D UI. And now she's old, D UI. What's that mean? Like you got you know what I mean?
Speaker 4Never drink.
Speaker 3She's saying never drink. You don't drink. You said you did drink. I did not.
Speaker 4You said how much have I had to drink today? I said not much. So what did you drink tonight? I had a couple Dr.
SpeakerPeppers. That's what the fuck he has a stupid ass cop. Oh man, he looking like a retard. I swear.
Speaker 2Why? God.
SpeakerLike I had a feeling something weird like that is gonna happen. Yeah.
Speaker 2Because I was like, he had a couple drinks. That doesn't mean that he drank, though.
SpeakerYeah, it doesn't. It doesn't.
Field Tests Vs Breathalyzers
Speaker 2And when he the and he's because the thing is, there's two, I don't know if anyone knows. Like there's the field sobriety test, and there's the breathalyzer, right? The field sobriety test, I don't know if anyone has ever had to do it. You could fail that shit rock sober, right? You know what I mean? Like walking in a straight line, like you know what I mean? You don't have to be on anything to stumble or mess up, but you could take give me that breathalyzer, and that's gonna tell me exactly how much I drink. What's the point of the field sobriety test?
Speaker 1So that they're gonna arrest you just in case they're not able to arrest you a little bit.
Speaker 2So that's smart ones tell you I want you the breathalyzer, not the field sobriety test. You know, especially because he can't walk. What do you mean? I you don't expect this old veteran, very Vietnam vet uh veteran to do a straight line walk. He slurs his words, can't speak right. That's how it happens when you get old. Shit turns around, bro. You you become you were born into this world as a child, you become a man, and then after that, you become a child again.
Speaker 1Plus, I can't even fucking walk in a straight line in a while. I know.
Speaker 2That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 1What the hell? Water, no alcohol.
Speaker 2No alcohol, not one bit, not one. Give me the damn breath of laser. That's why he's this is why you carry pepper spray. So not doing it. I don't know what that was, but yeah, so that that is something for our next conversation, but zombie Karen.
Speaker 1Yeah, zombie, zombie Karen. Just for those who don't know, that's my ex's name. Yeah, oh no, one of the many.
Speaker 2Oh god, I forgot about that. And she's a Karen. No, dude, that's horrible. But so what do you in situations like that, dude? Like what do you feel? Like, if you were given the position of a cop, do you feel well honestly, do you think that you would abuse that power a little bit?
Aging, Disability, And Biased Procedures
Speaker 1Well, if I was given the position of a cop, I would give it back to them, right? But if I was forced, if I was forced to be in that position, I would literally do everything in my power to make sure people don't get arrested. Yeah. Because I mean, you're forcing me to be in a shitty job to begin with. So if I have to take this job, I'm gonna do what I think is right, which is basically doing the opposite of what criminals are doing, because cops just do the same thing criminals do. You know, criminals kidnap you, cops put you in cuffs and throw you in a fucking car and put you in a cage. Literally the same thing. Criminals extort you, cops do what? They take your car when you don't have somebody to drive it, throw it in an impound, and charge you to get your property back. That's extortion, if I've ever fucking heard it. You know, extortion. They literally do. Oh, oh, they kill somebody for the greater good to serve their community. No, that's murder. The same thing that you're, you know, trying to give this other guy a life in a cage for is exactly what you're doing. So, you know, there, you know, police, that's just a flawed idea, as far as I'm concerned. So if hunting is the worst job I could possibly think of myself.
Speaker 2You know, if you dig into the statute and stuff like that, like if you dig deep into like police and how they were originated and whatnot, they literally do not have a like a purpose. Like there is not a actual signed like thing in like the constitution of whatever their police documents is. It does not say that they have to like risk their lives to save us. Do you know that? Yeah, but it's not in their job description to like even if it's say if it's any danger, they do not have to take a part of it. Like if it's a fire and all this stuff, they can literally just say no and not have to do it.
Speaker 1That job description is all bullshit. Right? It's crazy.
Speaker 2I mean the whole way, if you really look into it.
Speaker 1If you told me to write their job description, I would just put the word useless and have them sign on their knee.
Speaker 2But you know why that happens? That's why the the reason that that is that way is so that you know why the how so many cops get off of when they do stupid some some something stupid, they never get like they'll never get their pension taken away. You know what I mean? They automatically retire all the time. They automatically they'll just be like, oh, he's um leaving for the time being, or you know what I mean? He's he's uh uh whatever.
Speaker 1Just getting a leave. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Or yeah, on vacation for doing things.
Speaker 2They never get in trouble, they just resign and they move on. And sometimes they'll move on to different police departments, and police departments wouldn't even know.
Policing Compared To Criminal Acts
Speaker 1Because, yes, because let the brown person do it, or anybody who's underprivileged and not part of their system, and you'll see that you'll get a life sentence unless you're a cop for doing those two things. Literally, two humans from this planet. I promise you, they're both from this planet, most likely, right? Two exactly the exact same actions being taken, but those are the ramifications for each person, radically different. Right, you know what I mean? So it's crazy to me. That that's why I feel like it's so flawed of an idea to begin with. I know you're probably gonna have all these people, you know, with this backlash in the comments talking about oh police, they serve that no the fuck they don't. The only thing police really do is make crime lucrative, all right? Because, for example, if a substance wasn't illegal, right, it wouldn't be a big deal if you went to some place or if you planted the plants, you know, that provide you with the chemicals to make such, you know, substances. But all of a sudden, right, you have people who are willing to do violence for it, right? Like, for example, the police, they're instilling a rule, and this rule says you can't use this substance that is like literally grown on this planet, but you're not allowed to use it because we said so, right? The fact that they're enforcing this idea now with violence, that just for carrying it from point A to point B means that you're susceptible to be thrown in a cage for many, many years of your life, right? That right there makes the substance more valuable because whoever carries this is gonna get in trouble. So, guess what? I can charge you more to carry it and bring it to you now because they have made it valuable by being willing to commit violence against it. Now they've made it lucrative, they brought the value of it up, and that's literally what police do for everything across the board. That's what they do for guns, they make them more valuable, that's what they do for substances, they make them more valuable. Literally, everything that you can use to make an illegal transaction, they make it worth more. Of course, by opposing it.
Speaker 2Absolutely, and that's why the CIA was caught involved in the the drug trade. They were actually making they they were the ones making the money, they were the ones doing what exactly, bro. They knew what was going on. Come on, we're not stupid, and the files keep coming out, and no matter what anyone says, it's gonna be you know, like you said, people in the comments, this, that, and the third. But it's we all know that there's something deeper going on and whatever it is, yeah. And the judicial system has some a lot of things that are fucked up, and there's a this is just the beginning, and like we're just we're talking about cops, a little funny stuff, but coming up, we have some video other videos that we're gonna go through that are extensive about the judicial system, like uh little uh heads up for the like one of the next videos is did you know that uh in the Constitution slavery slavery slavery is still legal under the uh like in certain states as long as you are incarcerated. So they can use you for slave labor as long as you are incarcerated. Well, I mean that that's exactly what we're doing. That's what we do, that's what they do with us all the time. So I'm saying there's a video that my boy did, and it's really, really good. I haven't watched the whole thing because I want to watch it with you, but he talks about how like there's a legitimate crazy shit going on. Like, if you don't work, you get sent to adseg, get good time, taken away. I've seen that. Uh yeah, of course. But this is like a serious like a like a place that's like they rely a lot on the manufacturing when it comes to the prisons. And I didn't even realize that, dude. Because ours just made like the clothes and stuff like that. There was a one place that made furniture and like for the cops, do you remember that? I was like, dude, what did you like? Yeah, we make bed frames and dressers, and I'm like, for who? And like sometimes the cops will come in and ask us to do it, and I'm like, that's fucking crazy. That's gotta be fraud.
Speaker 1Start fucking start throwing laxatives on their shit.
Speaker 2It's got to be fraud on some level, but yeah, that's it for today. We're hit it in the comments, catch the next video, let us know what you think. Next video, zombie carrying. What's up?
