Cold Open And Viral Setup

Jesse

Everybody, we're back. We got a couple funny videos to laugh at together. So let's let's let's uh let's see what uh see what I got because I haven't shown JR anybody, so let's see uh let's see his reaction. Alright. Let's get yeah, reaction let me play for a 20 and she didn't give me nothing.

SPEAKER_11

Why does why does she owe you$20?$20 bill. I gave her a$20 bill. For what? For anything. I don't care. Whatever it's for, but she can give me my money back if she ain't gonna do nothing with it.

SPEAKER_08

Okay, were you planning to buy some drugs or something? What kind of drugs are you wanting to buy?

SPEAKER_11

Rocks.

SPEAKER_08

Rocks.

SPEAKER_11

Yes, I was.

SPEAKER_08

You gave her$20 to buy.

SPEAKER_11

For$20, she gave me some plaster.

SPEAKER_08

And now you want your$20 back because she didn't supply you with cracked cocaine.

SPEAKER_11

Well, she she shouldn't give me nothing. No plaster.

SPEAKER_01

She should have said no. What's going on? She came around here a while ago. There used to be some people in the road over there that used to sell. Yeah. We were sitting out here on the porch in some church. So she said, Y'all have anything to buy? I said, No, baby, we don't have nothing to sell. So she left one around the corner. Then she came back 10 minutes later and holler, give me my money back up. No, you ain't bought nothing from here. Don't disrespect my child. This is my child. I don't sell crack. I'm a prostitute.

SPEAKER_04

Oh my god. Okay. Like that's any fucking better.

SPEAKER_02

The ending, right? The twist at the end.

SPEAKER_04

I was just so ready to be like feel sorry for her for a second there.

SPEAKER_02

She's a what are you calling? I'm a prostitute. I don't sell crack. Oh man.

SPEAKER_04

I mean, it wouldn't have been like a realistic video based in life if that wasn't what was actually going on. You know? You go to like Newark and basically, yeah. That's what I mean.

Jesse

I know. People really they really think they can call the cops and get their money back. I've seen it done a couple times. That's besides the point. I got another one for EJR. Are you ready for this?

DUI Chaos And “Call Ma” Meltdown

SPEAKER_10

Yeah, go ahead. You alright? Yes, sir. You just went through a telephone pole. Yeah.

SPEAKER_12

Whatever y'all got going on here is pretty damn good, though. Yeah. I'm not hurting all the time. Were you the only one in the car?

SPEAKER_09

You were driving? There's a couple other people in here. We're drinking. We're driving. Stay right there, so don't move. Hey, just two people around. Come on. Nobody else got out. He don't even know he went through a pole. Hey, stay right there. You got your ID? Where's your ID? So that ain't gonna work.

SPEAKER_13

It's gonna work right now, this is all I got. I'm not touching you. I'm not touching you. Stay right here.

SPEAKER_05

This is not real. Mom! Don't play no man. Mom!

SPEAKER_09

How many other people were in the car? Just you? Just me, bro.

SPEAKER_04

This guy's never been arrested before, that's for sure. Yeah, dude.

SPEAKER_02

Jimmy, just can I rewind it first? Just watch that.

SPEAKER_04

He was just so chill in the beginning. That's just crazy.

SPEAKER_10

You alright? Yes, sir. You just went through a telephone pole. Yeah, you did.

SPEAKER_12

Whatever y'all got going on here is pretty damn good though. I'm not hurt at all. Were you the only one in the car?

SPEAKER_02

You were driving back seat. Was he the driver?

SPEAKER_04

I'm inclined to believe that he fucking flew back there, but I don't know about this guy.

SPEAKER_02

Was he the driver, dude? Because he's in the back seat now.

SPEAKER_04

I ain't making that very clear though.

SPEAKER_02

Yo, that is hilarious.

SPEAKER_09

Driving partying. Stay right there, sir. Don't move. Hey, do you see people around? Come on. Nobody else got out. He don't even know he went through a pole. Hey, stay right there. You got your ID? Yeah, I sure do. Where's your ID? Right here. So that ain't gonna work.

SPEAKER_13

It's gonna work right now, it is because that's all I got. Fuck all you guys, man. I'm not touching you. I'm not touching this. Stay right here. Nope, no, no, no, fuck that.

SPEAKER_05

Do nothing, man. This is not real. Ma. Ma, mom, don't please.

Jesse

Okay? You call ma. Call ma, but she wasn't there to help.

SPEAKER_15

My friend, you if you were even you weren't even in the place you were supposed to be to be driving. Your mom is definitely not anywhere to be found to hell.

SPEAKER_04

You're not pushing. I don't know if he crashed first or if he slept there. What? If you crashed last night and slept there. Oh, that could have definitely been a situation.

SPEAKER_15

You saw the pole though.

SPEAKER_04

It was bad. It could have been a pole in this, you know, behind his house or something.

Jesse

It's true. Yeah, it could have been. It could have been, but I this guy, this is.

SPEAKER_04

I would consider harassing if he was, you know, drunk and you know, collided into his own house.

Debating The Crash And Aftermath

Jesse

Then, you know, that's your yeah, I then then that's a that's a different story, I guess you'd say. What else do I just want to see if I what else I got for everybody? Oh yeah, okay. So this is this is something that all right, so our healthcare system. Crazy, right? But you go to other countries, they don't know how it is over here. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So while like watch their reactions to when we tell them about like the price of how much we spend on just like an inhaler.

SPEAKER_00

Dollars.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, you're pretty close, it's a bit more.

SPEAKER_00

120.

SPEAKER_06

250 to 350 for an inhaler? Yes.

SPEAKER_00

Man, so if you're poor, you're dead.

SPEAKER_06

Two epic pens. How much do you reckon they are?

SPEAKER_00

Basically.

SPEAKER_06

$80.$600.

SPEAKER_00

$40?

SPEAKER_06

I'm afraid not.

Global Reactions To U.S. Healthcare Costs

SPEAKER_00

More?

SPEAKER_06

More?

SPEAKER_00

$100.

SPEAKER_06

More.

SPEAKER_00

$150. More.$250.

Jesse

She can't even. I think she'd too many guesses.

SPEAKER_00

More. 300 pounds.$600? What? And this is like Why? You know?

SPEAKER_06

That's a very good question.

SPEAKER_00

$600.

Jesse

That's a younger woman, you know, should know a little bit more about cost of childbirth.

SPEAKER_06

Um$50 grand, something ridiculous now? Yes, yeah. I've blown the figures up on your head now, haven't I? Because they're larger. It's the highest, generally speaking, is about 30 grand. Okay, okay. Is that reasonable? Reasonable at all. It's just like now on like uh on a benchmark. On the living room. Dollars.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Uh the average is about 10 grand. It can go up to 30,000.

SPEAKER_00

10 grand! For a baby?

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, but how much is your child worth?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. So is that like the same everywhere?

SPEAKER_06

The average is about$10,000, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

That's mad. Alright, so no thanks.

SPEAKER_04

No, just kidding.

SPEAKER_14

Go in the jail. Talk to me. Go in the jail tonight. Talking about the homie and the gray in the back. You know the facts have never been nice. Everything luxury tax, and everybody here getting videos. Make sure you put a little money in the sack. What's wrong with him?

China’s Mountain-Splitting Mega Bridge

Jesse

That was nice, right? That was nice. Crazy. I definitely, definitely like it. I definitely like that, but what's it called? Oh, yeah. So to end the video, I wanted to show JR this thing in China, right? They carved through a mountain to build this bridge. Right? So they carved through this mountain to build this bridge.

SPEAKER_07

This is the highest bridge on the planet. At 625 meters above the Huajang Canyon in China, you'd have to climb to the top of this country's tallest building to get this far off the ground. Construction crews faced unstable mountain terrain and powerful winds in the race to open the structure of that here. But it's not only that it's dizzyingly high up. This structure features some of the most aggressive bridge engineering ever seen.

Jesse

How crazy is that, dude? So in order to even get there.

SPEAKER_07

There's a reason that the phrase no three feet of level ground is a saying synonymous with the locals in Guaizhou.

Jesse

In order to even get there, they had to build like they had to build through can like the mountains, right? So they had to carve a path through this little spot right here, right?

SPEAKER_07

To S57, which is basically a 150 kilometer highway that slices right through the heart of mountain. And I mean that very literally. A mountain has indeed been cut in half to allow for the construction of a road through this region. You know what I mean? Using explosives and massive drills.

Jesse

I don't think landslides would have to be a huge issue when you're doing something like that. Yeah, they have some good engineers. Because especially because you're I I isn't China have have a lot of fault lines, like earthquake-wise, because I know Japan does. I know Japan is on like has a lot of earthquakes. But I'm saying, like a small earthquake, you know.

SPEAKER_04

You need a you need some good engineers to build something sustainable on that kind of plane for sure.

SPEAKER_07

Dude, it it it's created a V-shaped cut in the rock. The expressway connects the Lioji Special District and Anlong County via 14 interchanges to make driving here somewhat manageable. So raise your hand if you're surprised to see China splitting a mountain in half to build a highway, only to connect that highway to the world's highest bridge a bit further down the road. Never mind the engineers actually working on this stuff. It takes me a huge amount of brain power just to make the videos to work out what the hell they're doing and how the hell they pulled it off. Luckily, I keep myself sharp using our video partner, Brilliance. There's series of mathematics.

Jesse

But the thing is the crazy part that we m that I was telling you about before, right? Now, think about you got this bridge, right? That's cut through a mountain. That's cut through a mountain, and there's nothing really around it. Like if you look, you can see that there's a little village right here. I'm thinking maybe that that's where they they did the infrastructure. Because it down. Alright, because watch, yeah, because at the end, you'll hear that not only is this a bridge, but they turned it into a tourist attraction. Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

On the other side of the car deck, a glass walkway lets you look down to the canyon if you dare. There's even an artificial waterfall that spans hundreds of meters across the bridge.

SPEAKER_04

That's exactly what I'm saying.

Tourism, Extreme Sports, And Weight Loads

SPEAKER_07

Aside from engineering fans and coffee lovers, China wants Huang to become a hub for extreme sport.

Jesse

Logistics, dude? To get the coffee beans all the way just to this one coffee shop in the middle of nowhere? How much do you think that coffee must be? I don't know the answer to it. I'm not gonna we don't have the answer for it. But I'm gonna guess a lot of fucking money.

SPEAKER_03

That shit is pretty high. They probably pay like$150 per coffee bean.

Jesse

Right, dude? And then they got people, they got bungee jumping too, so you you gotta do that. That's cool.

SPEAKER_03

That's scary as hell, though. That's pretty high.

Jesse

And but the thing is too, you after you encounter like you gotta account for that also in the building of this bridge, because that's gonna be constantly throwing the weight distribution off. Because you get people jumping off the side only on one side, too, and then they also have something where they dangle people out in front of the out in front of the bridge, it's like really weird.

SPEAKER_07

Plans are being formulated for professional base jumping events, and there's even talk of a centre for extreme sports in the canyon below. You see, Huaichang Bridge is an amazing spectacle of modern engineering. It is testament to the development of this industry that we can construct infrastructure like this.

Cost, Ethics, And Humanity Sign-Off

SPEAKER_04

Absolutely. Uh just with the amount of money paid for the metal to build this thing, you could have probably ended world hunger. Just saying.

Jesse

Yeah, and that's and that's how you know China worked that you're humanity. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, pray for humanity. Well, thanks for watching the video. Comment below, like, leave us and com uh leave us uh some videos to watch, so to react to, because uh you know, we're always looking for stuff to watch and laugh at together, or cry. You know, shed a tear or two. We could try crying. We could try crying. I mean, I've cried before on the show, but I mean I don't know if I can do it, but I don't think you would. But I'm gonna try to pull some try to pull some tears out of him by the end of this. You know what I mean? I'll get a tear. We'll get a tear. You know what I mean? Thanks again, comment below. Love you guys.
