ARIA Conversations About Technology: TechBUG
ARIA, augmented reality in audio, is a Sydney-based start-up developing technologies that deliver a sense of vision via sound to people who have blindness or low vision.
We are developing a device that converts objects to sound in the form of a pair of sunglasses run by a mobile phone. We are dedicated to co-design ensuring we have a product that suits the needs of the end-user. Our virtual catch-ups allow our researchers to hear the voice of people who are blind or have low vision and professionals in the field such as Orientation & Mobility Specialists.
Each month, ARIA facilitates a virtual catch-up, ARIA conversations about technology (ARIA CATS) where we invite people to join us to hear from the team at ARIA, but more importantly it is an opportunity for our researchers and other team members to ask questions of our participants.
These hourly Zoom chats are edited to make these Podcasts.
We would like to thank Purple Planet for our introductory music.
