Kieran Borgeat
Kieran is an American, European and RCVS Recognised Specialist in Veterinary Cardiology, and is Clinical Director and Cardiology Lead at Eastcott Referrals in the UK, part of Linnaeus. He has spoken on five continents on a variety of cardiology topics, and trained vets from across the globe in how to perform minimally invasive vascular procedures. He has pioneered and refined the transpulmonic stent angioplasty procedure in dogs with complex pulmonic stenosis, now widely performed across Europe and the USA, and was the first vet in the UK to perform trans-catheter edge-to-edge repair in dogs with mitral valve disease. He is an active researcher, working on non-contact heart rate measurement in companion species, and is co-host of the leading veterinary cardiology podcast, the Animal Heartbeat. At home he is kept busy by his four children, a Cavapoo called Wookiee and a cat called Gordon.
