Welcome to Day 4 of the Stacking Balance: 21 Micro Shifts for Lasting Results challenge! Over the last few days, we’ve been clearing distractions and setting ourselves up for success. Today, we’re shifting our mindset by focusing on gratitude.
Did you know that practicing gratitude daily can increase your happiness by 25%?
It’s true—studies from UC Berkeley show that gratitude rewires your brain for positivity. And the best part? It takes less than two minutes to do.
Today’s challenge is simple: Write down three things you’re grateful for.
- Keep it simple—don’t overthink it. It could be as basic as, “I’m grateful for my cup of coffee, my warm bed, and my kid’s laugh this morning.”
- Use a notebook, a notes app on your phone, or even just say them out loud.
I do this every morning in a small notebook. I write, “I am grateful,” and then list three things. Some days it’s deep, and other days it’s something simple like a sunny day or a good hair day. The point isn’t what you write—it’s the act of focusing on the good.
Gratitude isn’t just good for your mood—it’s good for your health. Studies show that gratitude reduces stress, improves sleep, and even boosts your immune system.
Starting your day with gratitude sets the tone for positivity. Instead of waking up feeling overwhelmed, you’re choosing to focus on what’s going right.
That’s it for Day 4! Take a minute to write down your three things, and notice how it shifts your perspective. Share your gratitude using the hashtag #StackingBalance, and I’ll see you tomorrow for Day 5, where we’ll tackle digital clutter by unsubscribing from emails. See you then!
