Sitting With the Loss of John F. Barnes — A Personal Reflection
This episode was recorded quietly, sitting by my woodstove, as I’m still sitting with the loss of John F. Barnes.
John had a profound impact on my life—personally, professionally, and humanly. What he taught went far beyond technique. The John F. Barnes Myofascial Release Approach® became, for me, a way of listening… a way of being… a way of relating to the body, emotions, and the deeper wisdom within each of us.
I’m still processing his passing. There are no perfect words yet. But I wanted to share this moment honestly—to honor the man, the work, and the ripple effect his life continues to have through all of us who carry it forward.
My passion moving forward is to help others learn how to connect to their bodies, their emotions, and their being… and to gently let go of what no longer serves them—so they can feel better, live better, and experience more ease and presence in their lives.
This is not a teaching episode.
It’s a pause.
A moment of reflection.
A moment of gratitude.
Thank you, John.
Your work lives on.
