I am an undocumented immigrant who came to the U.S. when I was six-years old. Throughout my purse for higher education I learned that I am more than my undocumented identity, I allow myself to be more than what I'm told because I get to define myself not the labels that are given to my community. I made this podcast to share my experience and tell others that your emotions are valid especially your vulnerability. I grew up hearing that being vulnerable is a weakness but I broke this stigma when I empowered myself through my vulnerability when going to therapy for the first time. My Mexican family has their own ideas about mental health and it has been a journey advocating for it and the communication continues to not devalue each other's emotions.
