Dr. Waszak has been a registered nurse for nearly 30 years and is a board-certified nurse educator and occupational health nurse specialist. She serves as Executive Director of the New Jersey Collaborating Center for Nursing (NJCCN) and as a Clinical Associate Professor with Rutgers School of Nursing. With a clinical background spanning emergency, ambulatory, occupational health, and forensic nursing, she is passionate about advancing the nursing profession, supporting the nursing workforce, and improving healthcare through advocacy and education. Outside of her work in nursing, she is an advocate for climate action and health equity. Nursing Insights marks her debut as a podcast host.

Dr. Susan Weaver is a nurse scientist at the New Jersey Collaborating Center for Nursing (NJCCN) and Hackensack Meridian Health’s Ann May Center for Nursing. Her research focuses on the home health aide and LPN workforce, as well as administrative supervisors and nurses who work the night shift. A longtime advocate for nursing leadership and workforce development, Weaver founded the Administrative Supervisor Conference in 2017, which has grown into a multi-state event. She holds a PhD in Nursing from Rutgers University and is passionate about advancing nursing practice through research, education, and collaboration. Nursing Insights marks her debut as a podcast host.
