Could We Finish the Great Commission in THIS Generation?
We're closer than ever before to fulfilling the Great Commission in our lifetime, with Christian leaders worldwide identifying three key factors making this possible.
• Synergize - Churches are uniting globally instead of working in silos, with organizations like Global Church Network facilitating powerful collaborations
• Mobilize - More people coming to Christ today than any other time in history, with a goal of equipping one million new ministers by 2030
• Finalize - Recognizing the urgency of this moment and being ready for the massive global harvest happening now
• Bible translations accelerating toward having scripture in every language
• The internet and social media making it easier than ever to share the gospel worldwide
Pray for the nations, get involved in missions by supporting church planters or Bible translation efforts, and share this message to inspire others to take action.

Imagine a world where every person in the whole world has heard the name of Jesus, where every nation, every tribe, every language has access to the gospel. What if I told you that vision the very command of Jesus and the Great Commission could actually be completed in our lifetime. Now that sounds pretty bold, doesn't it? But according to top Christian leaders from around the world, we're closer than we've ever been before. Stay with me as we break down the three key factors that could make this a reality. Hi there, welcome to the Healthy Church Staff podcast for today. My name is Todd Rhodes, one of the co-founders over at chemistrystaffingcom, and today we're talking about an article I saw over at CBN. I believe that talks about what some Christian leaders are saying that we could be really close to actually being able to fulfill the Great Commission in our lifetimes. Okay, so let's look at, I believe, three different things that we want to talk about today, three different things that Christian leaders are saying that could bring us closer and closer to this goal. Okay, number one is synergize. The church is uniting like it never has before. Dr James Davis says the shortest distance between two points is not a straight line, but a close relationship, and for centuries, churches have worked in silos, each church, each tribe doing their own thing. But, according to Dr Davis, some things are shifting in very powerful ways Denominations, missions, agencies and leaders are realizing that to bench press the planet and reach every person with the gospel, we must work together. The Global Church Network is one of those organizations that are bringing ministry together in some pretty powerful ways. They're doing some collaborations between local churches and international organizations. The network is actually really off the hook right now and really skyrocketing, and the internet and social media have really made it easier than ever to share the gospel worldwide. Jesus prayed in John 17 that we would be one, just as he and the Father are one, and the more united that everyone is, the faster the mission moves forward, and that appears, according to these leaders, to be happening in a new and fresh way. And that appears, according to these leaders, to be happening in a new and fresh way, and that's pretty exciting. All right. So synergize Number two is mobilize More workers, more Bibles, more impact.
Speaker 1:Did you know that more people I found this studying more people are coming to Christ today than in any other moment in history and, according to this article, the leaders are saying that the momentum is undeniable, but there's also a challenge. Luke 10.2 says the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. So there's an urgent need for new pastors and church planters and evangelists. And what they're saying is their goal is to equip about a million new ministers and pastors and missionaries by 2030. To meet the demand. So Bible translation is accelerating and they say that we're on track to have scripture in every single language faster than ever. So if you can imagine a world where every single person can hear or read the Word of God in their own language, that day, with a lot of the technology, is really starting to happen even more and more quickly. So synergize and mobilize.
Speaker 1:And then the third thing is finalize. And here they talk about the urgency of the hour. Some people think well, we've got plenty of time. But history a lot of times times tells us a different story. When Christians don't push back against darkness, the world spirals into chaos. You can look at some of history and some of the rise, even of Hitler in the 30s.
Speaker 1:But this article, I thought was interesting, quoted an unlikely source I thought, mike Pompeo, the former US Secretary of State. He emphasized that faith must remain the first priority if we're going to finish this mission. And Dr Davis put it this way, it's not a fish problem, it's a boat problem. We're on the verge of a massive global harvest, but we must be ready and if we keep waiting, we'll miss the moment. God is moving right now. The question is are we ready? All right, so I'm going to leave a link to this article. I thought it was just really encouraging some of the things that they see on a global scale, with some of these things happening around synergy and just some of the things that are happening. So I'll try and leave a link to that in the comments or you can email me podcast at chemistrystaffingcom and I can send you the link.
Speaker 1:But here's my challenge for you today. Okay, because we all do play a part, and the first thing we can do is pray. Pray for the nations, pray for the nations and then get involved in missions. Maybe you're supporting a church planter, maybe you're learning about Bible translation, maybe you even need to consider doing more yourself in the area of missions, but get involved and then share the message. Let's inspire more people to take action.
Speaker 1:If we want more insights into what's happening, keep up with the news and keep up with what is happening in the church and if you want more insights on kind of church staff and leadership and staff health and mission strategies, this is the place for you, right here on the Healthy Church Staff Podcast. And one of the goals I think the biggest goal that all of us have, wherever we are, wherever we're planted, wherever God has us, is to fulfill that Great Commission. And by joining arms and joining hands we can do that and finish the Great Commission together. All right, thanks so much for listening. I hope you'll join us again tomorrow right here on the Healthy Church Staff Podcast. My name is Todd Rhodes and we'll be here again tomorrow. Hope you have a great day. You.
