Isabeau Solace
I started my horsemanship journey in 4-H. As a teenager I had my first ‘on the books’ job as a barn manager/instructor & had the opportunity to ride walking horses. After college I returned to horses full time as a barn manager, groom and freelancer in a variety of disciplines including reining, combined driving, fox hunting, Paso Fino, Appaloosa, FEI dressage, Hunter seat equitation, jumpers & Icelandics. In the early 2000’s I worked as a young horse starter. With the internet, I got the opportunity to learn from a much wider variety of experts and enthusiasts. I have since studied intensively with R- trainer Randy Lowell, biomechanics revolutionary Mary Wanless and Straightness Training founder Marijke de Jong. Positive reinforcement is my current focus. I hope to use the podcast to discuss with horse owners and professionals how we can improve ourselves so we can improve our work with horses.
