Valeska Cosci, LCSW, is a Bilingual (Spanish/English) Licensed Psychotherapist and Mental Health Consultant with over twenty years of clinical experience. She is the owner of her private practice, Renew Thru Therapy, and provides virtual counseling for California and Florida residents. 

Valeska strives to see clients through the lens of the system that they’re in focusing on the dynamics of power and privilege, including race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and religion. 

Her specialty is working with Black, Indigenous, Persons of Color (BIPOC), and Immigrants trying to navigate life’s journeys and the systems that impact their emotional health, relationships, parenting, professional growth, and cultural identity. 

In this episode, we discuss common challenges for children of immigrants, possible unresolved trauma and wounds in immigrants, breaking generational cycles, changing the Eurocentric view of therapy, multicultural psychotherapy, the connection between religion and therapy, finding one's own identity, and more.
