Sacha DeWolfe

Sacha DeWolfe is a member of Natoaganeg First Nation and an assistant professor at Mount Allison University, working with the  Canadian Studies/Community Engaged Learning Department. She teaches mainly within Indigenous Education and Community Engaged Learning. Her Ph.D. research focused on investigating the social, political and historical factors impacting Wabanaki's identity and how her life stories work to expand these understandings. Her dissertation included a documentary film that brought the audience on a journey from damage to desire. Through researching desire and how it was missing from narratives of Wabanaki identity, Sacha stumbled upon Cormac Russell’s work in Asset Based Community Development.
