ADVENT CHAOS CALENDAR! Messy Truths And Practical Hacks For A Kinder, Calmer Christmas

ADHD MUMS

We launch a daily “chaos calendar” to make December lighter for ADHD mums, trading perfection for practical help and honest stories. We share quick breathing resets, low-friction hacks, and real talk about messy holidays that still feel good.

• daily mini episodes across December
• simple breathing cues that actually get used
• small hacks for common stress points
• must-do vs nice-to-do lists that reduce friction
• normalising imperfect Christmas as ADHD mums
• scripts for saying no and asking for help
• connection and calm over perfection
• a shared plan to start each morning

You can look forward to a little bit of our dulcet tones every morning in December to commiserate with you and to hopefully help you through this season

SPEAKER_00:

It's a roll up to Christmas and we're on to the HD. Where the ADHD mums? I'm Clint. It's Christmas! Oh and I'm Jeff.

SPEAKER_01:

We're going to do, aren't we?

SPEAKER_00:

A little countdown to Christmas. A little chaos calendar. Yeah. So every day we're going to show up with a little mini episode. Mm-hmm. Talking about something to do with December. We're going to share our shames. And our shit shows. But also.

SPEAKER_01:

Maybe some hacks to help with these shames and shits.

SPEAKER_00:

We're going to try and come up with hacks. And, you know, as usual, we had a little debate about this just then. Even if we're coming up with good ideas for how to get around these things, like having a little breath. That's what we were discussing.

SPEAKER_01:

I'm always telling everyone, have a little breath, but I don't do it myself. She was like, I can't keep telling people to have a little breath. I'm not having a little breath. I was like, that's fine.

SPEAKER_00:

She had a little breath.

SPEAKER_01:

Because I thought I was having a panic attack. So I was like, I'm gonna do a bit of breathing.

SPEAKER_00:

She'd thought enough times about the helpful aspect of having a little breath. Yeah. That she finally did it. And so this is me saying, I think telling you to do it is fine. Yes. We might remind you to do it, and you have success having a little breath, even if we haven't. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01:

And we will we'll hopefully tell you a bit more than just have a little breath.

SPEAKER_00:

We're gonna try and come up with a little hack for each potential problem point.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, and but we'd also we'll also be sharing our own experience of Christmas as ADHD mums and it's very, very lack of perfect perfection. Yes.

SPEAKER_00:

And we all know Christmas is not a day when you're a when you're a woman, when you're a mum.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

It's well it's a day. No, it's a month.

SPEAKER_01:

Oh well, I see what you mean. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

Oh, at least of us every morning.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, and it's to normalise the fact that your Christmas mightn't be looking like the one on John Lewis at first that we were just talking about as well. None of us are perfect. Well, even the ones. Even the ones on Instagram. Even the ones who think they are. Yeah, who look like they are, they're not.

unknown:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01:

You don't know what goes on behind them pictures.

SPEAKER_00:

Well, we were just saying that as well, weren't we? Yeah. But anyway, so there we go. You can look forward to a little bit of our dulcet tones every morning in December.

SPEAKER_01:

Yes, to commiserate with you and to hopefully help you through this season.

SPEAKER_00:

La la la la la la la la.
