SPEAKER_01:

It's a roll of Christmas and we're mum to the AHD. We're the ADHD mum. I'm Claire.

SPEAKER_00:

And I'm Jen. And we're coming to you with last minute miracles. Woo!

SPEAKER_01:

That's how we roll.

SPEAKER_00:

If you have left things to the last minute and you're thinking, oh my god, I please, I don't want to go into town again. I can't spend any more money on the bloody internet. But I haven't got something for this person, or oh, I've only got them this thing, and I wanted to do a bit more than that, really. Or you know, we've got some ideas for it. Yeah. Or money's been too short, you've run out of funds.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah. Or you have ordered stuff and it's gonna come too late. Which I just realized as happened with my family secret sand, I think. I've ordered like I've ordered, and it's two weeks till they're really on the thing. Which is who does that these days? So I'm gonna have to um I think I'm gonna use some of these tips that we're about to discuss.

SPEAKER_00:

Right. So we were we were saying we've spoken at length about this idea of gifting like IOUs for experiences that you'll later give them. You can make a lovely little IOU voucher or card or like descriptive like thing of what they're gonna get for this gift. Um, I did one for you for your birthday presents to take you to that book launch, sent you it, and you were like, Thanks, people. And then you said to me later when I started talking about it, you were like, Oh, were we actually going to the thing? Oh what? You get a free you get the copy of the book as well. Oh what? And you were like, so I obviously didn't meet mine, very clear.

SPEAKER_01:

Um I obviously didn't read it properly, it's more of a thing, but oh bless her.

SPEAKER_00:

She sent me a collage of of me and her and that writer.

SPEAKER_01:

No, I think I knew we were going, but I think um I didn't know I was getting the book and it was going to be signed and all this.

SPEAKER_00:

Oh, and we had reserved VIP seating. It's anyway. We've only got five minutes left of this meeting, so this will be a mini act. So there's the IOU and the vouchers, isn't there?

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah. You can do them nice on the computer or hand do them, can't you? Yeah, but then there's also re-gifting, that's one I'm gonna have to do because I've got some nice I people always buy me smellies because I'm a woman, but I'm allergic to everything, can't use anything. Yeah, so I've got loads of nice smellies. I'm gonna have to regift some of them to my secret centre gift.

SPEAKER_00:

Great idea. Um yeah, obviously, like just don't re-gift it to anyone that's given it to you, or try not to.

SPEAKER_01:

I know, I try, I try I make a point to remember who's given me what.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, very, very, um, very wise. Um, another one is you'd mentioned, hadn't yet, that for some years you gifted a framed copy of your son's school portrait, which is a lovely one for the elders. Um yes. And I was saying, what about having some frames in handy? Or do you know what? Like the absolute ADHD, like problem solving, like think outside the box, blag. If you really were down to the last minute and you were like, oh my god, how have I forgotten that important relative or whatever, or that I haven't got them? I'm not happy with what I've got them. What about yeah, framing your kids' artwork? I was gonna suggest. So I was gonna say, have some frames ready. If you were desperate, look at the wall behind me. I could take one of the one of the basic ones of those down and know that I'm gonna replace it after Christmas. Like, seriously, if worse came to worst.

SPEAKER_01:

A wall's full of picture frames, she's saying look at the wall behind her, but yeah, it's full of picture frames. You could just take one down and put something in, couldn't you?

SPEAKER_00:

Put one of your kids' like better artworks in that they're gonna like be glad. I mean, I always think like you have to really know that you're you the person receiving it is gonna appreciate it, otherwise, you'd just be like pissed off to gift such treasure to someone who's gonna go, Oh, thanks.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, I know my mum would love something like that. My dad, puppy, he would love it, but he doesn't really give a reaction. But even, you know, if you've got no frames, how about just getting a load of them together? Hole punching and tying them with a ribbon.

SPEAKER_00:

Super cute. Love that. Um, and you know, another like ultimate last minute thing that's just an easy one if you're nearby to any shops um and you have got the budget left is get a box of chocolates, you know, the celebrations and all that. That they used to be a big part of just normal Christmas thing, didn't they? It was like, you know, you can still gift that. Um, but we're gonna get cut off. So speaking of last minute, go on, raise a fan right then and say it with us sisters in chaos. Bye bye, Zoom.
