What if the single most powerful thing you do for yourself in midlife and beyond has nothing to do with a new habit, different routine, or the right supplement? What if it's simply a choice about how you see things? Hi there, my friend. I'm Karli, your favorite Gen X dealer of positive vibes, Life and Wellness Coach, and founder of FLIPSIDE OF MIDLIFE®, a community for women in midlife and beyond. Thank you for joining me here for this guided meditation. If you're part of my email community and or a regular listener here, you've heard this from me before. Your mindset, the lens through which you view the world is a determining factor in how you experience life. I created this meditation to help you intentionally set aside negativity, and lean into kindness, gratitude, and love. Find a comfortable position, my friend. Sit or lie down. Whatever feels best for you right now. And as you're settling in, wiggle into your spot. Tip your head. Lift and lower your shoulders, maybe roll them if you can. Take a deep inhale and slow exhale. Let your eyes close or lower your gaze if that feels more comfortable. And take another slow, easy breath in through your nose and exhale gently through your mouth. Again, inhale and exhale. One more time. Breathing in. This time, hold at the top and let it go. Now allow your breath to return to its natural rhythm. Bring your awareness to the center of your chest, your heart space. See a soft light beginning to glow there. And even though it's just beginning, this gentle light feels warm and expansive. It starts to spread slowly warming your body as it does, and as it spreads further, it lights you from within. It fills your entire self, but it doesn't stop there. Notice how it continues to expand past your physical body. The energy of this light emanates from you. It spreads far beyond you in all directions. You are at the center of this incredibly peaceful light. Feel it, my friend. As you soak in this light, think of a kindness you recently shared or received. As you do notice the intensity of the light and the expansive feeling within you grow. Now bring to mind something you feel grateful for. Again, the light gets brighter and those good feelings in you expand. Now, think of a love in your life, a love that you share, a love that you receive. Savor the feeling as the light glows its brightest and expands within you. Imprint this feeling in your soul. Take a slow, deep breath in and exhale. It is your choice to feel the warmth of kindness, gratitude, and love. You are capable of making the shift, my friend. Notice when your thoughts and the feelings in your body do not align with those you practiced in this meditation. Begin to bring your awareness back to the space you're in. Feel the support of the surface beneath you. Hear the sounds around you. Gently wiggle your fingers and toes. And when you're ready, flutter, open your eyes. Hold onto the feeling of this meditation as you move through your day, my friend. Revisit whenever you want to immerse in the beautiful, warm light of kindness, gratitude, and love.
