We all feel a little lost at times. It's not easy to feel this way, but if you lean into the periods when you're questioning your purpose or sensing that something is shifting, you may be surprised by what comes out of it.

This visualization is an invitation to set aside self-judgment and striving to discover the joys that live in the ‘not knowing’ moments of midlife and beyond.

Being lost is a beginning, and you don't have to find your way alone. If you'd like a guide for this season, I invite you to book a no-cost private coaching consultation with me. Here’s the link: https://www.karlinewman.com/private-coaching

We all feel a little lost at times. It's not easy to feel this way, but if you lean into the periods when you're questioning your purpose or sensing that something is shifting, you may be surprised by what comes out of it. Hey there, my friend. It's me, Karli, your favorite Gen X dealer of positive vibes, Life and Wellness Coach, and community builder for women in midlife and beyond. Thank you for being here with me today. If you're feeling a little lost right now, I want you to know I've been there too, many times. I've learned through my own experiences, as well as from women I've walked besides during their journeys, that lost doesn't have to be scary. It might, in fact, be just what you need. This visualization is an invitation to set aside self-judgment and striving to discover the joys that live in the not knowing. Let's begin. Find a comfortable position seated or lying down, whatever feels really good for you right now. Fidget a bit, wiggle, settle in, and find just the right spot where you can let it all go. Start with a few slow, deep breaths and long exhales at your own pace. Breathe from your belly, my friend. And as we start here, notice the gentle rise and fall of your belly and your chest. And when you feel ready, go ahead and allow your breath to return to its natural rhythm Now my friend, picture yourself in your favorite type of natural environment. This isn't somewhere you've been before, and in fact, you have absolutely no idea where it could be. You are in awe of the beauty, solitude, and peace that surround you. For as far as you can see, there are no signs or indicators of where you are, and you're not worried. You know that you are safe You don't feel pressure to figure out anything in this place. Instinctively, you know this is a space for you to just be. Take a nice big breath in and exhale. And just check in with your body. Are there any sensations like tightness or discomfort, any residual stress, that remains in your body? If so, continue to take some slow, big belly breaths, letting these feelings dissipate on the exhale. And while you're doing that, continue to visualize this incredible, beautiful place that you're in. Let's explore. Go ahead and start to wander in this place. What have you noticed that you'd like to get a closer look at? Or maybe you've spotted a place where there might be a better view. Move slowly wherever you feel led, and on the way, tune into your senses to notice all the details around you. Time is not a concern here. There's no need to rush. Notice how expansive it feels in your soul to let go of the need to be anywhere else or to do anything else. What brings a smile to your face? What warms your heart? What might bring tears of joy to your eyes? What have you seen and noticed here that sparks joy inside of you? Find a place to sit in this place and take another deep breath in and exhale. Now repeat after me either out loud or to yourself. I am lost and I am safe. I am lost and I am finding my way. I am lost and I experience joy. Place both hands over your heart and bring up those joyful feelings. Savor them, my friend. You don't need a map with directions laid out for you. Find joy in the journey. The wandering can be sweet, and the not knowing can feel spacious and filled with possibilities. Keep listening, keep noticing, and keep following the small nudges toward what feels good for you. When you're ready, begin to bring your attention back to the space you're in. Notice the surface beneath you, the sounds around you. Maybe wiggle your fingers and toes a bit. And when you're ready, flutter open your eyes, my friend. Welcome back. Carry this with you today. Sometimes the most meaningful discoveries happen precisely when you let yourself wander. Lost can be filled with joy and may be exactly where you need to be. Being lost is a beginning, and you don't have to find your way alone.
