AI is everywhere on stage, but production AI is won in the details. From HPE Discover, we sit down with Jason Schradel, Director of Enterprise Platforms at NVIDIA, to unpack what it really takes to build an “AI factory” that an enterprise can deploy, operate, and scale without turning every upgrade into a science project. If you’re trying to move from AI proofs of concept to real business outcomes, this conversation maps the stack in plain terms.

We start with what’s being showcased on the floor and why it matters: next-generation platforms like Vera Rubin and the new Vera CPU, enterprise-ready GPUs including RTX Pro Blackwell Server Edition options, and the networking layer that keeps modern AI workloads moving, from Spectrum-X Ethernet switching to BlueField DPUs. We also talk about how HPE systems, storage, and the private cloud experience come together with NVIDIA accelerated computing and NVIDIA AI software to form a repeatable blueprint for enterprise AI infrastructure.

From there, we zoom out to the go-to-market reality: global customers, real deployments across industries like healthcare, manufacturing, financial services, and telecom, plus the growing role of ISVs and partner ecosystems in making AI usable for specific workflows. Jason also shares what he’s watching on the roadmap, especially agentic AI and the importance of confidential computing to protect sensitive data and model weights as hybrid cloud AI becomes the norm.

If you’re planning an enterprise AI strategy, you’ll leave with a clearer view of the components that matter most and the tradeoffs you can’t ignore. Subscribe for more conversations like this, share this episode with a teammate building your AI platform, and leave a review. What part of the AI factory stack feels hardest to get right right now?

And we are here at HPE Discover with NVIDIA doing some amazing work with HPE and enterprise transformation. Jason, how are you? Doing great.

SPEAKER_01

Awesome to be here at HP Discover.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, good to see you. Before we dive in, maybe introduce yourself and your team within NVIDIA and tell us about your role.

SPEAKER_01

Sure. Jason Schradel, Director of Enterprise Platforms at NVIDIA and the Enterprise Product Group. And we work closely with HPE and taking their AI factories to market. So really excited to be partnering with HP to go over AI factories, both turnkey AI factories, at scale AI factories, and Soviet AI factories to our customers globally.

SPEAKER_00

Amazing. Well, you have a ton of incredibly powerful hardware

Tour Of The Hardware Stack

SPEAKER_00

behind you, but of course, the key is solutions these days, and you have a ton on display here, jointly developed with partners and others. Tell us about what's on display.

SPEAKER_01

So here we're showcasing uh some hardware. If you can see here in the background, uh folks stopping by to take pictures of the hardware uh featuring both uh some of the the high-end systems with our uh our uh uh NVIDIA Vera Ruben MBL72 systems. You can see uh that here showcase as well as our new uh NVIDIA Vera CPU. Um and HP is taking those to market together with both uh the HP Prey systems as well as now HP Pro Lion with Vera CPU. Um and then you you have uh we're featuring here NVIDIA networking. So you'll have both the uh NVIDIA Spectrum X switches, uh Spectrum X Ethernet switches, we're showcasing specifically here, the Spectrum 6, um, as well as uh Bluefield 4 DPU. Um again, part of the um the HP AI factory with NVIDIA portfolio. Uh and then finally here on the right hand side, we have some of our enterprise systems which are taking a market out through all of our the uh the HP AI factory with NVIDIA, um, to include both the RTX Pro 6000 as well as the RTX Pro 4500 Blackwell Server Edition GPUs. So those from a hardware standpoint, those are some of the things we're featuring, both from the very large-scale systems, um the NBL72 systems now with Vera Ruben NBL72 or Vera CPU, NVIDIA networking, all the way to the RTX Pro data center systems.

SPEAKER_00

Amazing. What a portfolio! I mean, incredible to see everything on display. And this is

Customer Wins And Go To Market

SPEAKER_00

quite a unique partnership between HPE and NVIDIA and the enterprise. Tell us about your go-to-market and the many, many channels and and verticals that you're serving.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, so we we truly are serving uh a global customer base across many different segments, um which includes a wide range of different industries. Um and you saw some of those joint customer successes featured in Antonio Neri's keynote this morning. So there were customers, for example, like St. Trude's Children's Uh Research Hospital, um, like the Dallas Cowboys, like the Writers Cup, but also large-scale deployments at customers like Siemens Energy and AI clouds like Vulture. So we have customers across multiple different segments, multiple different geographies, uh, and uh real excited to be partnered with HPE to bring these solutions to market and to see the customer momentum and making AI real in production for the agentic AI era with HPE.

SPEAKER_00

That's fantastic. And I understand your bio is fascinating. You worked with HPE in an early stage in your career, and now you're back. What's been the most eye-opening or exciting thing in your collaboration with HPE as you discovered, unintended, so many of

Turnkey And Sovereign AI Factories

SPEAKER_00

these solutions and partners and uh and uh capabilities?

SPEAKER_01

Well, I think for me, I mean what's exciting is really see the whole portfolio come together in full stack AI factory solutions. So um when I was at HP, I worked closely with the softboard team there and building out joint solutions, hybrid cloud solutions, AI solutions. And now we do have we have a very close partnership. We're co-engineering, co-developing systems together with HP and their AI factory, um, including the HP Private Cloud AI, which is a turnkey AI factory that includes NVIDIA AI software, it includes NVIDIA accelerated computing and NVIDIA networking, together with HP systems and the private cloud experience that HP brings to market, together with all the engineering know-how and expertise to build those solutions and make them available to customers so they can get up and running very quickly in a turnkey solution. But we're also doing that in our at-scale AI factory solutions and our sovereign AI factory solutions, really bringing together the full portfolio with NVIDIA AI software, build NVIDIA accelerated computing and NVIDIA networking, together with HP systems, HP servers, HP storage, and you know, some the HP capabilities that they're bringing to market in customer relationships out through their channel partner ecosystem, including ISVs, for example, the Unleash AI uh ISV ecosystem program with third-party uh software companies. For example, we're featuring here partners like Data IQ and others that we're working together with with HP to bring solutions to market that are built on that full stack AI factory portfolio.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, so exciting! And of course, every enterprise in

Vertical Use Cases Taking Off

SPEAKER_00

the world is going to start leveraging these platforms and technologies. Uh, what are there particular verticals that you're really intrigued by? You're in I see banking and financial services and telecom and healthcare on display here. Uh, but what what are you particularly excited about?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that's right. We have a demo here, we're showcasing um together with one of our partners, I mentioned Data EQ in financial services. Um, but we also are featuring uh solutions in the telco space. For example, the HP AI grid with NVIDIA, which was highlighted in a keynote uh this morning. Um and then, but there are a really wide range of different customer segments we're addressing, for example, in manufacturing, I mentioned uh Siemens Energy as an example, or in in life sciences and in healthcare. Again, I mentioned St. June Children's Hospital as an example. Um, across the board, we're seeing fantastic uh you know adoption of AI, um, even though it's still very early for AI in the enterprise. We're seeing customers like Roche and others that are taking this these solutions and building them out at scale with their HP AI factor with NVIDIA.

SPEAKER_00

Amazing. And of course, we are in the early innings, but things are moving so fast, and of course, NVIDIA

Roadmap: Vera Rubin And Security

SPEAKER_00

is just investing literally billions and billions in innovation and RD. Looking at giving us give us a little peek ahead over the weeks, months, years. What are you excited about as we look at the NVIDIA roadmap and that with uh HPE?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, there are a few key themes actually. Antonio talked about in the keynote this morning. So um I think certainly, you know, Veera Rubin is here. Um, the Veera Rubin platform is the next generation uh for of AI factory for uh for the agentic era. Uh and Vera CPU, again, is the CPU purpose built for the era of agents. Um those are key themes and and key opportunities we think going forward for this next generation of AI factories. Um but combine that with uh confidential computing is another key key technology that we see really as critical to protect um the model weights for uh for model providers, uh, but also the data on premise. And so for as organizations look to deploy AI at scale, particularly in a hybrid environment, um where they have some of that, the the AI um inferences on-prem, some of it may be in a cloud environment. Confidential computing is critical, particularly as you look to bring those models to the data and deploy them on-prem. So that's another key theme. But the other one I want to highlight is our agent toolkit. We're doing together with HP with um NVIDIA Nemo Claw and NVIDIA OpenShell, and really taking that to market and building that into all of the um HP AI factory with NVIDIA solutions, including what was showcased uh in the keynote with HP Product Cloud AI with Nemo Claw and OpenShell, but now it'll be available across the HP AI factory with NVIDIA

Closing Thoughts And Thanks

portfolio.

SPEAKER_00

Wow, what a blockbuster day. Uh you're an incredible spokesman for NVIDIA and the partnership with HPE. Uh, congratulations and uh more success onwards and upwards. Great. Thank you, Evan. Thanks so much.
