Self-mastery is when we are able to control our thoughts, words, emotions and actions. We begin to developing self-discipline, self-control, transmuting unhelpful behaviours into ones that allow us to flourish.

In this Episode Gavin shares his views on the richness of ceremony and ritual along with the huge heart space he holds for cacao. He shares about one of the two traditions he has dedicated his life to, following the advice if a trusted friend. We speak about one of the many paradoxes of life; the need for solitude and community and the importance of honouring both. Gavin also shares about his passion for regenerative agriculture, living on the land and an interesting take on what sustainability really means.

Gavin Kendrick is a student of forest wisdom, and the founder of Cacao Love, an ethical business that shares ceremonial grade cacao with the world. He is initiated into various Druid orders, and is a bandzi in the Bwete tradition of Central Africa. He lives in Kenya with his wife Diane, growing food, planting trees and harvesting medicinal plants.
