Ready for a fresh start that feels grounded, kind, and doable? We dive into “Rejoice and Embrace,” a simple practice for welcoming change without pretending everything is easy. I walk you through finding real balance in daily life, celebrating small wins that actually stick, and building a support system that lifts you when motivation dips.

We start by redefining balance as a living practice: better sleep you can feel, movement that matches your season, and water before the whirlwind. From there, we explore how to keep your circle positive and practical—friends, family, and mentors who offer clarity instead of noise. You’ll hear how small, specific goals turn big dreams into daily steps, and why acknowledging micro milestones is the quickest way to quiet self-doubt and keep moving forward.

Self-compassion is the engine of this approach. You can carry mixed emotions and still choose action. I share a straightforward self-care inventory plus a simple self-contract: one clear goal, tiny daily behaviors, meaningful rewards, and honest reflections. These tools turn uncertainty into a roadmap. With boundaries that protect your peace and rituals that center your day, you’ll trade burnout for steady momentum and joy that lasts.

If you’re stepping into a new chapter—a job change, a move, a relationship, or a personal reset—this conversation offers practical guidance and encouragement. You hold the pen. Let’s write the next page with intention, grace, and a little courage you can feel. Listen now, subscribe for weekly motivation, and share this episode with someone who’s ready to begin again. Then tell me: what small win are you celebrating today?

Once again, we will be going over the chapter eight, which is the rejoice and embrace. So this is from my Rise Again bestseller. You can purchase it at the local Barnes and Noble. If they don't have it, you can also request it. You can order it on Amazon. You can go to my website, wondraspenser.com, and really take that time to follow along as we share the information in the weeks. So before we go into chapter eight, I do want to give a shout out to any other podcast. If you have your podcast, you can share with me. Make sure that you share with others. On my website that I listen to. But if you have a podcast, really shout out to you and make sure you follow me and send me your podcast too on my social media. But with chapter eight in the book, we have rejoice and embrace. And so we're going to start out with three essential messages. You can find your balance, embrace life fluctuations, and building wellness. So embracing on change and positivity, the change is a natural part of our life, which can lead to growth and new opportunities. You want to celebrate any excitement, that new chapter, any challenges or triumphs along the way, and seek intentions and build that support system, whether it's some positive friends and family or mentors, someone that's positive in your life, and you can have that clear direction, and you can seek support from navigating, and life will get easier and fulfilling. And with chapter 8, it starts on page 73 of the book. And with this, also another message is positive self-compassion, celebrating your achievements, whether you're doing it with a mix of emotions, really be gentle with yourself and celebrate anything that is big or small, any successes that you have had along the way. So rejoice in celebrating the positivities. That can be very encouraging, you know, even if it's uncertainties, that joy can be very powerful. And I know life is just really beautiful in, you know, maybe a new adventure, whether you're starting a new job, a moving to a new system, a new relationship, really to take that time to rejoice and embrace it. So is your time to really think about your rejoicing and embracing whether what does that mean to you? You're acknowledging the excitement, celebrating the moments, big or small, you know, getting caught up in the uncertainties, it can be really easy, but really think about it, you know, embracing that change. You want to stay open-minded, of course, setting your goals, really embracing that change can be your personal growth and opportunities, open-minded, a new experience, you know, setting those goals short-term and long term, and those are in some other the other chapter in my book, also, and becoming a new you in 30 days. I have a breakdown of the setting your goals to, and building that support system. I mean, you wake up and you have some great group of friends and family or co-workers that's always being so positive and sending you some uplifting and funny messages along the way, it can really brighten your day. Or just saying good morning or good afternoon or having a great day can be fulfilling and really give you some encouragement. And you know, really, your practice of self-compassion. If you have a mix of emotions, that's okay. If you're feeling anxious of uncertainty, you know, that will be part of the process, and celebrate every success, even if some big quins or small accomplishments really take that step towards your goal and make sure you celebrate it because you have done it, you have overcome it, and it's a great accomplishment for you because I know life can be intimidating. I do share some grace and intention, why it matters, having that open mind, you know, transforming the opportunity and experiences, the lesson, setting those goals, having clear goals, directions. If you have that support system around you, because you don't have to go through anything and you know, do your celebrations, you don't have to do that alone. Really, people out there that can support you, family or friends, just remember you're not alone and practicing that self-compassion. Be gentle with yourself, make sure you take care of yourself and enjoy every moment of it, and then celebration that celebration, the small wins, honoring each step, because it adds up, and you will make sure that you can do it, and you can have the support and everyone that will be around you. So I know this can be a new chapter in your life, it's a fresh beginning. That journey, you know, and remember it, shaping your future. Every ending is a doorway, you know. What lies beyond it is yours to shape the journey. You are writing your story, and you hold the pen. We really hold the pen for it. So celebrate your achievements, learn from your experiences, keep moving forward, joyfully, confidentially if you don't want to share it. And the time is now, so make the most of it. So we want to transition to the workbook. Now, the workbook is not required, but I do say have that chance to write in it, or if you want to do something electronic, you can do that also. But I love the smell of books, I love the the texture of it, so I love you know paper in my hand. It's just something for me. But with the workbook chapter eight, it's just a self-care inventory. How many hours are you sleeping that you're getting? You know, are you moving your body? You're healthy, you're drinking enough water, what brings you joy? And when was the last time you protected your peace? You know, you want to protect that, and some weekly share self-care one hour each week, doing things that you know nourishes for you, taking care of yourself. And with chapter eight, it starts on page 35 of the workbook. And what does healing look like for you today? And what some small acts of kindness that you can offer for yourself this week. And I do have a snippet of the contract, you know, self-contract for yourself, your name, your goal, consequences of not meeting your goals, some rewards, reinforcements, completion date, and signature. And you do have some space to write your thoughts, your affirmations, really your insights for your self-care journey. And the reminder for here is you cannot pour from an empty cup. Take care of yourself first so that you can be the source of support and encouragement for others. So I really hope that you enjoyed this podcast for chapter eight. We will be getting to chapter nine of the podcast for next week. So, really follow me on my social media platforms at Wondra Spencer. Subscribe to my Motivation of Fuel podcast.
