Adira Thekkuveettil

Adira Thekkuveettil (b.1990) is an artist whose work investigates photography’s entanglements with contemporary sociopolitical consciousness, especially in an urban context. 

She draws from family histories, archives and her own practice as a photographer to explore the lines that seemingly separate fact from fiction. 

She is currently Digital Artist in Residence at the Museum of Art and Photography, Bangalore. Adira is also the Course Director of Aesthetics, Criticism and Theory at Jnanapravaha Mumbai.

Lesley Martin

Lesley Martin is currently the Executive Director at Printed Matter & formerly the Creative Director at Aperture and founding publisher of The PhotoBook Review. Her writing on photography has been published in Aperture, FOAM, and IMA magazine, among other publications, and she has edited and commissioned over one hundred books of photography, including LaToya Ruby Frazier: A Notion of Family; Rinko Kawauchi: Illuminance; Stephen Shore: Selected Works; Zanele Muholi: Somnyama Ngonyama; The New Black Vanguard by Antwaun Sargent; Sara Cwynar: Glass Life; and Tommy Kha: Half, Full, Quarter. In 2012, she cofounded the Paris Photo–Aperture Foundation PhotoBook Awards.
