Hey guys, welcome back to updated AF Collective, the podcast. I am your host, megan Worth. Today's episode is very special. I got to interview my business and mindset coach, marley Rose Harris. She is this beautiful soul entrepreneur woman. She's also the host of a top podcast here in the States and I think she's a top podcaster in multiple other countries too. Her name, the name of the podcast, is Money, mindset and Manifestation Podcast. If you've not heard it, you need to go back and listen to it.
Speaker 1:She has a lot of really good tips and tricks to change your mindset, especially around manifesting or creating your dream life. Just everything Money, entrepreneurship, how difficult it can be, and she teaches you pretty much how to get out of your own way. She has multiple courses that you can take. One of them is called the Freedom Club, which is specifically designed for people who either want to leave their nine to five job and become an entrepreneur, or how to become a better entrepreneur. When I felt stuck in my business, I needed creativity. I needed creative ideas. I bought her course as a birthday present to myself, for my 36th birthday. I needed creative ideas. I needed to be thinking outside of my world, my reality, thinking outside my box. That's where Marley Rose Harris came in and just changed a lot of things about my business, helped me become more creative, and that's what you need. If you're an entrepreneur you need to be more creative. Also, she has a new course out called the Higher Self Method, which I'll probably buy that for my Christmas present to myself.
Speaker 1:But anyway, you got to listen to her story. The girl came from just being an average girl in Canada, living her life, trying out college, and just nothing really was resonating with her. She didn't want that basic nine to five job. She actually tried it and was completely miserable. I'm talking like she was miserable from the inside out and she had a tragic loss. I'm going to let her tell you that side of the story about what happened to her and how she was able to bring herself out of a really dark spot and still continue to succeed in her business. And now she uses her story to relate to other people who could possibly be going through the same thing. Anyway, I'm going to leave you guys with her right now, so enjoy the episode. If you are getting something from this podcast, or if you're enjoying the podcast, please rate me five stars, leave an honest review, screenshot your favorite episode and I will repost it in the updated AF Collective Instagram. So out of it this morning, but yeah, my brain is like not working, so anyway, yeah, please help me out and yeah, anybody, I'm going to leave you with her. Marley Rose Harris.

Hey guys, welcome back to the podcast, updated AF Collective.
Speaker 1:I have an extremely special guest today. She's not only my business coach, mindset coach, manifestation coach. She has actually helped me a lot. Come up with the type of courses that we have coming down the pipeline and everything else too. She has an incredible course that I am currently enrolled in called Freedom Club, and so let's just jump into it, because you are a very successful business woman.
Speaker 1:On top of being a manifestation coach and everything else, you own international real estate. You get to travel all over the world and work from home. You have created a life for yourself where you can work anywhere in the world. You have that time, location, financial freedom, but it took a lot for you to get there. You just a girl from Canada who made something for herself, and I want everybody to hear your story. I've heard it a couple times on your podcast, but it's a good one, so let's just jump right into it, and then we're going to talk about all the things that you offer, and, of course, I'm going to link everything in the show notes. So, marley, please talk to us about your story.
Speaker 2:Marley, I, like Megan said, I'm from a small town in Ontario, canada, and I just grew up hating winters. I eat the cold. Really, my first desire came from just like wanting to work from anywhere in the world. I want to escape winter. I'm like a plant. I thrive in sunshine, I thrive near the water Like that is me.
Speaker 2:And so when I was graduating from university, I had this like ultimatum Either I could get the job that I've always wanted, which is work in corporate you know, have the salary, the consistency, the guarantee salary the thing that I always wanted. Because growing up, my parents are entrepreneurs and I saw the way they struggled and I was like heck, no, I do not want to. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. I went to school for business to become a CEO, but for someone else, like, my dream was to be a CEO, but never did I want to be my own boss. But when I go home in summers I, you know, I'm from a very, very small town and it's kind of like a tourist town, so everyone would come there. All like the people from the city would come up to these like mom and pop shops, but no one was on social media, so it's like, guys, we need to get you on social media, I'm going to help you, but then I'm going to put on my resume to get a corporate job. And it was like, literally I was like starting entrepreneurship to get a corporate job. But what ended up happening is I loved it, like I loved being my own boss. I love that the more work I put in, the more work I got out. I'm very like intrinsically motivated and I just loved it. Like it for the first time.
Speaker 2:I really didn't like when I was I went to university for business but I really did not thrive in university. I actually was like extremely depressed, extremely anxious, just stressed to the moons. And for the first time, I started doing something and learning something that I was obsessed with and I, when I get on to something, I get on to something. So I just started like researching everything and people started like my, do you create website? Did you create me a logo? And I was like, sure, never done it before.
Speaker 2:But I was like, oh, figure it out. So I'm like I figured how to do things and I just loved it and so, fast forward. When I was graduating, I finally got the corporate job offer that I always wanted, always, always, always wanted, and for the first time I realized I actually didn't want it. What I really designed was to be able to work from anywhere in the world, work for my laptop, escape winter, and I knew 100% certain taking that offer would be there. But I knew there was some possibility that if I went full time in this, like very much side hustle, like I think it was maybe making, it was not covering the bills. Let's just say that it was very much a side hustle.
Speaker 2:It was like paying paying for, like drinks on the weekend, like it was not a thing. But I was so passionate about it and I loved it and so that was like my first big leap of faith was going all, declining the corporate job offer and going all in on the first business. Now what? When I say go all in, that means yes, go all in, but I have two subs I served in the evenings. I worked part time actually at the school that I went to running the entrepreneurship center and running my business. So it took me about a year before I was able to actually like quit my job, quit the part time jobs, and go like actually full time in my business. But one part of my story that I haven't dealt with yet, which was that is like very much the business side of how my business came to be and I'll spend more on that in a second.
Speaker 2:But the biggest part of my story is definitely like my healing journey, and just why I am where I am today is the healing journey. That's like the biggest part of my story. So the beginning of my journey you know I mentioned I really show this. I gained a bunch of weight. I was super insecure. I had a hormonal acne all over my body. I just was super out of alignment, super out of alignment and it just showed in every area. And my mom one day was like, my, you should watch this movie. It's called the Sacred. And I was like, oh, that sounds cute. So I watch it and it really changed my life and I feel like this is the beginning of everyone's story.
Speaker 2:I've never, actually read this book. It is. It is, and for the first time I realized a few things. It was like, oh, I could have control over my life, because before that I felt like life was happening to me Exactly, and this is what I realized I can create my reality. First time I realized that. Then, secondly, you know, I feel everyone was calling me lucky, but I didn't feel lucky. I felt like I was creating my reality, but I just didn't have. I didn't have education, I didn't know what I was doing, but like I would visualize things, so I would focus on things, that they would happen, and it would freak me out Like, oh, that's cool. And I just never had like words. Or so when I watched this movie it was like, oh, that's so Raven Moment times a million, because I was like, because you have the light bulb moment.
Speaker 1:You're like, oh, this is what's happening.
Speaker 2:Yes, it was like literally learning a language and then going to the country and speaking the language, I was like, hello, these are my people. So I started like chitling and meditating and really healing, but more on, like a superficial level. So I like healed my body, I started feeling better, I started getting motivation, I started feeling happy, really like sipping the top of the barrel, let's say. But at the beginning of 2019, I was in Australia and I went to Australia. This is before I went full time business, but I was there just for three months and it was an opportunity for me to see what was it like being abroad and like working. Again, my business was not covering the bills, but like I was traveling and I wasn't losing money. I was like making them out of money that I was making as I was shopping and I that was like me being a millionaire. I was like this is the best thing ever. I'm traveling, I'm making money, I'm not selling it, but I'm not calling that satire, that. That product.
Speaker 1:This is amazing. You're already acting as if you're working Exactly. You're acting as if so you're taking that leap of faith and saying, no, this is the lifestyle I want, although my income is, you know, it's steady, but it's not this. You know a large amount of money, but you're in Australia because you wanted that lifestyle and you're acting already as you are, that woman who's working abroad, handling her clients from a beautiful be to Australia.
Speaker 2:Yes, like I was living my manifestation in like Dalulu kind of.
Speaker 1:I love it.
Speaker 2:Yeah, and so I was in.
Speaker 2:Australia and this is when I got this job offer. It was a part-time job offer, um, running the entrepreneurship center at my college and this was on my vision board. I had talked about this. I wanted to work at that college and it was the middle of January that I had to go home to take this job offer. And everyone in my group don't go home that like it's you hate it, like what are you even doing? But if I intuitive got like knowing I was like I have to take this job, I took the job, despite everyone telling me not to, and I flew home, I started the job and then a week later my dad committed suicide and had I not taken that job, I would have had to fly home anyways and I wouldn't have had the job. And this was the beginning of my biggest transformation to.
Speaker 2:So before that, like I said, I was doing the healing. I was running graduate, was meditating, but this was my first like capital T trauma and this was an invitation for me to deeply heal. So I immediately put myself into therapy. I immediately myself also I started doing Reiki. It just, it just like intuitively came into my life. I don't, it just was like guided into my life.
Speaker 2:Absolutely For the first time, I started healing, not only from this trauma, but inner child healing trauma and money trauma and living beliefs, and like learning about all this stuff grief, anxiety, depression, like I didn't even know, because, also, when that happened to my dad, I made a promise to myself that I will learn everything that I can about this to ensure that this does not anyone else or no one else feels like that's the only option, because the saddest part about my dad is that he was so loved and he couldn't see it, and mental health is such a topic that is people shy away from, and I mean, this was in 2019. And I feel like we've already come such a far way. Yes, and in a like, I don't even know how to say this, but he ended up doing that on World Mental Health Day in Canada, which was very interesting, and from that moment, I have gone deep into educating myself around healing healing from trauma, healing, just healing, becoming a guinea pig for healing and also forgiveness yes, exactly All of it.
Speaker 1:Like that's another thing. I worked in law enforcement for 10 years so I saw the effects of suicide on relatives wives, husbands, children, family members, everything. And when I'm helping these, you know the family members try to process what they're seeing or how to handle this or find the resources. I used to help them find resources too. We worked with peer support and we would have social workers come out and that was the one thing that you know it seems to be the hardest is forgiveness, because it's one of those things where you kind of go through the grief process of like you start off really sad and you're confused and you're why, why did this person do this? And then you know you can go from grief to I hate you for doing this to me, and that's such a low vibration and just staying in that anger.
Speaker 1:And I'm sure you processed every single one of those emotions and therapy, you know, from sadness to to anger, to acceptance. That has nothing to do with you. You know what I mean. Like, forgiveness is a hard. It's a hard hurdle to get over and you just you are so brave for that. By the way, every time I hear this story it always makes me tear up because I've seen a lot of those suicidal victims.
Speaker 2:Yeah, thank you for saying that and yeah, I definitely did. There's like a grief journey, but there's also no grief playbook. There's no like. No, that happens to you. You have no idea.
Speaker 2:And but really interestingly about this story, which I don't usually talk about, is that when I was in Australia, I met two people that really made a mass act on my life One. Both of them I met in the exact same way. I met one on this like party and I went up to her and we just instantly connected and she had a cool tattoo and I was like that's a really cool tattoo. Like I never say this, but I was like that's a really cool tattoo, like what is that? And she's like oh, it's for my brother, like he passed away and I made this tattoo for him.
Speaker 2:And I was like, and my initial thought was this is the most lovely, happiest girl and she lost someone like her brother. I'm like how can she be so happy? I'm like, wow, then not like maybe like two weeks later I met this other girl who I instantly soul connection with and she's beautiful stingray tattoo on her back and I met her and I was like that's a beautiful tattoo, like what was that for. And she's like I lost my boyfriend and I got this tattoo for him and I was like, wow, this girl's so happy, so positive. How could she lose her boyfriend?
Speaker 2:And then I remember the day it happened. I was on a bus and I realized that the universe sent me these two people to show me that I was going to be okay when I lost someone and I thought it was going to be my brother for some reason and I texted my friends. I was like guys, I think they just showing me a sign that I'm about to lose someone. And I was like no, no, they're just showing you that, like you're brought into their lives to make them happier. And then, like less than three weeks later, I lost my dad. So absolutely.
Speaker 1:I say that because.
Speaker 1:Oh, yeah, go ahead, you are set, you're getting set up. So you know, yeah, there's the universe, or God, or however you want to say it, but you also have guardian angels on the other side. You have spirit guides on the other side and obviously they have your playbook. They know what is going to happen before it happens and they'll breadcrumb so in order to help you heal, because they know something's coming. They're going to set you up with the right people, whether you recognize it or not, and a lot of people use their intuition to say, okay, like there's a reason why you're in front of me.
Speaker 1:I love to say the fact like there's no such thing as coincidence, as people come into my life For a reason.
Speaker 1:Sometimes I don't know what that reason is until later, and you were placed in front of two women who had had that grief, that significant loss, the trauma, and it's almost like you were being set up with, you know, by your spirit guide saying like, hey, like, look at them, look at her. And then you know you had that big event happen with your father, and so that you can go back and say, oh, my gosh, like if they can get through this, I'm going to get through this too. I know that there's a light at the end of the tunnel. I'm not going to. You know you're always going to have that, that grief. You're always going to have it. It's you're just going to learn how to process it and to get over those hurdles a little bit better. But there's a reason why everybody gets placed in your path because something is going to happen or something had already happened, and they're there to help you. That's how spirit guides and guardian angels help us heal.
Speaker 2:They use other people, and I like to believe that 100% when I have poorly believe that it was like the evidence, because I didn't mean I've never met anyone who's been through that those two people and they were evidence to me that I was going to be okay. And when my mom called me to tell me what happened, I like immediately called one of those women and I told her what happened and she was like Marley, just don't let this lose your sparkle. And I was like Whoa, and that was my like Northern Star. It was like when you don't know any, you don't know. It's like walking through a desert and you have no idea where to go. You have no idea how you can teach us. Like sand, and there's just like one side with an arrow and you're just like, okay, fuck it, I'm going to fall.
Speaker 2:That arrow is like that, like I have no idea what to do. I was in a tornado. And then she just said that I was like, okay, this is my side, like this is, I can hold on to that and I hope that. And so, basically, I did all this healing. I eventually moved to Australia full time, moved to Bali, you know, and what ended up happening is that started applying the principles that I was learning in healing grief and healing trauma to money, to confidence, to self love, to to every other area of my life, and my life changed. Like I mean, I don't think you ever fully heal from grief. Healing is like an onion you just peel back layers and I still have my moments, but my life has dramatically changed. And so I started to get a lot of questions from people like, really, how are you? Like people knew what was happening, like, how are you happy? How are you working from anywhere in the world? How are you earning more in a month than that corporate job offered you for your salary? Like, how are you doing all this? And I was like, well, I'm just doing this. Is this like, are you guys doing that? And then, like I'm like no, and so that was like the first time I realized, okay, like, there's something I want to share more. And I had a deep desire to like. I wanted to coach, I want to talk about manifestation, I want to talk about money, I want to talk about mindset, but it's so much imposter syndrome. I was like who's gonna listen to me? Well, you know all the things that we also do ourselves.
Speaker 2:And at the end of 2020, my first business that was doing websites, branding, all those things just was crumbling In the sense of everything went well financially, but behind the scenes, it's like team members were shifting, clients were shifting. It's just like chaos. And I just thinking to myself this is not freedom. Like this is not what I signed up for this. I was crying every day. It was. I was so sad, I was so emotionally drained. I was like I cannot do another year of this like I will. I don't know what I'm going to do.
Speaker 2:So at the beginning of 2021, I realized I had this connection. The shower of like I want to teach business and manifestation like combined it to. I was like oh my God. Yes, it was like was such a hell. Yes, and I'm not joking I came out of the shower and I had a message from one of my employees that was like Marley, this is so random for you to know, but I'm looking for a business and manifestation coach. Like can I hire you to like mentor me and to do what you've done? And I was like you can't even make this shit up.
Speaker 1:So that was my permission slip.
Speaker 2:There's my sign baby and so like there's my permission slip to like go all in on this coaching thing. So I dissolved first business, went all in on that coaching business at the beginning of 2021. And it's been just so aligned and so abundant ever since. Of course, it's entrepreneurship, so there's highs and lows, good days, bad days, ups and downs, but being in your purpose and like living your purpose every day has been like one of the best things that's ever happened to me and now my life looks a lot different.
Speaker 2:This has been definitely the biggest year of growth for me. You know, moving to Cape Town, finding Cape Town, making it my home, like finding person, finding my home, like just I feel like so much grounding has happened this year which has allowed me to propel immensely, because before I was traveling and that's amazing and I love that period of my life, but when I was over it, I was over it. So now being in a very grounded place and like being able to grow from there has been insane because the growth just happens even more because you're grounded, because you can't build a skyscraper on sand. You have to have the foundation. So I got the foundation and again, I don't want to like share my story as if everything's great happy go lucky.
Speaker 2:It's like no, I still heal. I'm still have like limiting belief. All these things still happen. But once you commit to the journey and the self growth and the healing journey, it's like the healing duration just gets shorter and you get to like see the manifestations quicker and things just start moving faster. And so, yes, that is a very long story, but that is the cliff-nose of the last couple of years.
Speaker 1:You said something super profound and we're big on this podcast about pivoting. When you get the career that you've always wanted and you succeed in it and you're like, for example, your business, the first business that you had, you loved it and you built it from the ground up. But it is okay. If, once you get to the top, it no longer serves you, it is okay to do something different. Just because you built this amazing business, you know it's easy, even if it's stressing you out, it's draining you every day. It's literally the cause of anxiety attacks. People think that they have to keep sticking with it, but you don't have to. You can rebrand, you can pivot, you can do something else and it's okay. And, if anything, use that Like you used your first business to create another one and you're not starting over. You're starting yeah, you're starting your business over, but you have so much experience. You're gonna make that one work and not only are you gonna make the next business work or the next career. Whatever anybody decides to do, you're gonna come in with all of this knowledge and experience. Don't look at it as starting over and look at it. I'm building another business and I'm bringing all of my wisdom and knowledge. It is okay, people.
Speaker 1:I'm sure you got like crazy comments, weird, looks like what is she doing? She's making so much fresh and money and she's gonna walk away and you're like, yeah, I'm done, I'm dumping this thing. It's causing me stress. It's okay, you know what I mean. Like you're gonna rebrand yourself and you're gonna do it well, so I like that. You said that because again, you don't have to be afraid Talk about just because, like we do have an episode on real estate and stuff on one of the episodes talk about you finding your house in Bali, because I did look it up on Airbnb and it's stunning. So I want to congratulate you on having a property in another country. Can you, can you touch on that a little bit, because that's huge. Not a lot of people own a house, let alone a house in another country. It's a gorgeous house. Can we talk about that for a second?
Speaker 2:Absolutely. Thank you so much. So this I'll talk with a whole manifestation story. So when I was still working you know, those three jobs living Canada that the year I lost my dad, I just was going to work one day and I was like I'm gonna fill in Bali. It was just like it's like a download. And I went and I told everyone at work I'm like I don't feel like like yeah, well, like how are you gonna do that? I'm like I don't know. I was gonna figure it out.
Speaker 2:And I went on Google, I know by Villa and Bali, and like this first company came up and I like found a bill that I really liked, I took a good shot of it and I put on my vision board and then I know plans of going to Bali, but then 11 or like eight months later I was in Bali and my first day there I was sitting there and I was in a cafe and I looked across the road was like, oh my god, that is the really ancient company. That was that where I found this villa. And then I was like you know, I'm just gonna walk in, like what. It was just walking. So I walked in and then they're like oh, what are you looking for? And I just said I'm looking for, like I can't remember, maybe it's a three bedroom villa, just very big.
Speaker 2:Okay, great, we'll just send you some pics. What's your email? Her some listings. I was like great and I was like that was fun. They left and then they sent me three listing and one of them was the villa on my vision board and I was like what are the odds?
Speaker 2:Like what? What are you joking me? And so the next day I'm on a Vespa driving to this villa. I'm through the villa on my vision board. No, my, that is so weird. And this is important part of the journey, because what I did is I started listening to other people. I texted my friend about it and he's like don't buy a villa there. That's so stupid. Like and like very much. I did not have the money to do it. At that point I just was like again delusional, like I'll find the money, I'll figure it out. Like that's just me and I please wash the manifestation. Because I was listening to other people and I was like, right, it's the investment. Okay, I'm not gonna do it. But then in the back of my mind I was like I know, I'm still gonna own a villa and Bali was on all of my vision boards. I was like I'm gonna own a villa, I'm gonna own a villa.
Speaker 2:So then I actually left Bali, stuck in Australia during COVID, and then back to Bali. When I went back to my freaking buying a villa, like I need to figure this out and, like you said, the perfect people just come into your life. Like I'd meet someone, a foreigner, who owned a villa. I would meet someone who had a car. Like I just kept meeting people. That made it three more realistic and I learned from them. I learned how to do. I learned how to do as a foreigner and and I so this is at the beginning of this was in 20 night, 2021. So we're still like in COVID time. No, sorry, this is 2020. So we are still in COVID times. And wait, sorry, you're gonna kill me, it was 2021. So we're still in COVID times. And everyone's like don't buy a villa, marley. Like what? If we never come out of COVID, bali will never be the same.
Speaker 2:And I was like I'm just and I found this really good deal because I was in Bali, it was COVID and people needed the money. So I bought the villa. I completely renovated it for like five months. It was so much fun as my income, true and right. What I was ready to run to it is right. When the board was open in Bali and because of the demand in Bali, prices have absolutely skyrocketed.
Speaker 2:So and people like you're so lucky, like it's like, no, it's because I was like I hope this comes off in the way that I mean it, but you have to be willing to take risks and have big rewards. And and again, I don't want you guys to think this is like my first big. I feel so good with making risks because but I had known and realized that when I make big risks I get a big reward, like design, design a job offer, quitting all my part time jobs. Like, oh, every single time I make a big risk I get a big reward literally decided to make Cape Town my home. That same day, I met my boyfriend, who is like my, like, my soulmate. It's just like I just know that this is like a belief in me, and so I like I purchased the villa.
Speaker 2:I and and and actually very interesting that you bring this up, because I've never been asked about this in a podcast interview and just today I was meeting with my new manager because right now we just we have an Airbnb listing. But I had it. I had one person on there and then I was like I cannot deal with this admin, so I took it off and I rented it monthly. But recently I'm like, wait, I want to put that thing back on Airbnb. Like I'm gonna make way higher ROI if it's on Airbnb. I just had it like you would. I just had a call today with the person who's going to manage the Airbnb listing For me. I'll be completely hands off, so it's just a completely passive income source. Delegate delegate that shit.
Speaker 1:Seriously, I'm all about delegation, delegate it. I don't want to deal with it. I have it, thank you, I'll take the passive income, but you're just gonna delegate that. I love that. No, like I had to ask you about it because, again, like you will, it's on my vision board to own international rural state too. I don't know where I want it I keep thinking the UK, but who knows? And when I I remember you're, you know, listening to you.
Speaker 1:Back when I first discovered you, like years ago, and you mentioned you had it, I was like I want that. So I had to ask you about it because, again, like, it's not something that everybody has and I love the fact that. Like, okay, I'm big on not listening to the new sayers. If I want to do something, because I'm big on sharing my goals, I'm big on putting it out there into the universe. I don't like that. Keep it to yourself or keep it quiet until it happens. No, if you want something to happen, you have to put it out there, you have to talk to people.
Speaker 1:But you also can't listen to the people who don't even have that same vision as you. So those people that were telling you it was a bad idea. Well, where's their villain, bali? Where's their experience with real estate? Or where's their experience in international real estate? That's not their vision. They don't own things like that. They can tell you horror stories all day, but that's not what they're currently doing. They have no reputation for being an international real estate owner. I'm just saying I'm glad that you did it and you didn't listen to that. You know you. You did it and you recognize the signs again the, the villa that was on your vision board, the real estate company that was just right there across the street and just like, see, the pieces of the puzzle are getting put together.
Speaker 2:Mm, I have this saying now that I don't take advice from anyone who is where I want to be. So I will not take relationship advice from someone who's in a relationship that I don't look up to. I will not take money advice from someone who isn't earning the money I desire. I will not take villa advice from someone who isn't owning of it. Like I was a bit naive in the beginning of my journey but now I really have so many boundaries about that of like I, if I'm going through something, I only go to very specific people and if someone tries to be their pain, as everyone does, I just it like washes off me.
Speaker 1:I'm like okay, cool, moving on. Yeah, everybody's going to have their opinion, but the people that are moving in the direction that you are moving or already there are the only mentors that I listen to and those are the only ones that I get advice from, because I need a compass, and when I discovered you when I signed up for the Freedom Club, I needed a compass in my business. I felt stagnant and stuck and I'm like I need creative ideas. And I looked at you and I was like this girl already owns International Rural State. She's a manifestation coach, which I'm big on. She is doing exactly what I want to do working abroad and living where she wants to live and having all of that time and freedom to do whatever the hell she wants. I was like she's my compass. So that's how I ended up finding you and so I can take advice from you all day. You tell me to do something, I want to do it, you tell me not to do something.
Speaker 2:I'm gonna.
Speaker 1:I'm not gonna do it only because you've done it. And you know, like I mean, I'm big on taking calculated risks and same with you. So we have very similar stories like that. I was in the military for eight years, went into law enforcement for 10. And I quit my job and I sold my house in San Diego and I moved to Texas and I became a real estate agent in the state of Texas, not knowing a single person.
Speaker 1:Everybody thought I was insane Because I'm a single mom, you know. Like what the hell are you going to do? You don't even know anybody and real estate is a referral based business and nobody even knows who the hell you are. And like I don't know why I need to do this, but I need to do it and I jumped into it. I didn't even have a real estate license. I got my real estate license and then became a very successful real estate agent in 12 months and everybody tried to talk me out of it, but none of them had my vision, none of them had my intuition feeling and I was getting all of the signs. So and then again, like I'm a big believer in the law of attraction and having vision boards and everything on my vision boards have come true. And yeah, I just, and people like you who have very successful podcasts are motivating women and even men around the world to take those calculated risks and just go for it. Go all in is what you say, and I went all in in real estate.
Speaker 2:I love your story. It's so much. It makes me so happy.
Speaker 1:Well, it's crazy because, like I mean, I tell women all the time like it's okay to pivot. And again, like you have that story where it's okay to pivot and you being a manifestation coach let's talk about that. But so you decided you're going to be both. Okay, let's put us back for your business manifestation coach. And how did that start? Was it the podcast that that started first? Was it the courses start from? Like, you just got out of the shower. You have this great idea. You already have your first client hitting you up. What? What happens after that? What was the story?
Speaker 2:So I had been like obsessed like you guys know, I get really into things so like obsessively learning about manifestation, law of attraction and just implementing in my life and just manifesting like this, like it would just be crazy and I wish just if you meet me up for dinner, and I think that's one manifestation, all those things. And so I, I got the shower, had this thing, but I still had my business. I was like what do I do with this business? So I moved. Like the next month, I said, when I moved to Bali and I was again like I was living in all these beautiful places, I had the might to afford the life that I want to live, but I was miserable. I couldn't even enjoy what I was doing because I was so bogged down with work and so stressed from work and I was like this is not what I signed up for. So I was in it this is so Bali. But I was in a Kundalini yoga class and then lightning struck me and I was like I would rather be unhappy and so I'd rather be happy and make less money than be unhappy and make all of this money that I can't even enjoy. And basically a month later, within a couple of weeks I was like right, I'm dissolving the first business and, like you said, everyone told me not to. Everyone was like people, sit me down. I'm like are you crazy? Like you're gonna let this go. And even to the point it's like let's just like pivot it and I'm like, no, I'm done, I'm done. And what happened is that I had this page and I had my personal Instagram and I basically just filtered everyone over to my personal Instagram and because of the law of energetic minimums, which means when you achieve something once, you can easily do it again. So people get really scared to like move to a different job or a different thing, but as money and your energetic vibration to money, your match you will meet no matter where you are. And so I didn't know that at the time, but now I know.
Speaker 2:This is that when I then started my coaching business, I like launched my offers and for a little bit, I was running a fully coaching business in my other business, which was complete health. Thank God that's over, but I was running both and my coaching business took off immediately, like, because everyone that had worked with me with my branding and websites and who had been listening to my podcast, because I started my podcast around the same time as well. They're like, thank God, this is exactly what we want to learn from you and now we can buy from you. So it was really cool because it wasn't just that one person that asked me. A lot of people were asking me like my, how are you doing this? How are you doing this? I was already had a bit like not very big, small community from the podcast and so I had a little bit of a light trust to know and then a lot of light trust to know with my previous clients. So I was like, hey guys, remember how I made you your website too, and I'll actually grow your business so that you can live a life of Tomokish financial freedom. And everyone's like, yeah, sign me up. And I was.
Speaker 2:I really sold out like 10 people in my first business coaching program and I was like, holy shit, this is epic because I'm actually getting paid doing what I love. And the first business, like I did a last hurrah. I was like, woohoo, sign up and we're due special pricing. And then just completely faded out, let it go, let go of my team members, and then just went full in on the other business. But, like you said, I really had to repip my mindset, which is the first business was just a stepping stone to the second business.
Speaker 2:It wasn't a way no, I would not have been able to build that second business without the first business. So that was had so much purpose in my life until it didn't and it expired and I think I held onto it a little bit long that I should have, but it was definitely just like the lesson for me in trusting but then pivoting to the new business. It's like been in complete alignment since so and then it's like once I feel that icky feeling, I know something's starting to get out of alignment and I know to reposition immediately or else it would just become a very big problem, like it did in the first business.
Speaker 1:And I love that you said some. Sorry, you have like so many good little hidden gems in your conversation. I'm picking up on all of this and okay. So you brought up imposter syndrome and who am I to start a business and stuff like that In the beginning of the podcast we talked about. You touched a little bit on that like who am I? And you created your own business. You dissolved that because it was no longer aligning with you and again you took that knowledge and you applied it to coaching.
Speaker 1:You took wisdom, a lot of women and I've had those women on my podcast and they were saying I didn't get an MBA, I didn't take a course, I didn't get certificates, I didn't do that. And we talked about like well, your life experience is probably worth a degree. You've lived it. You clawed your way up to the top of a very successful business, turned around and said hey guys, I know what I'm doing, follow me, let me teach you how to do it. And you didn't have a degree in this, but you figured it out.
Speaker 1:You read the books, you listened to the podcast, you had the coaches and you turned around and gave it all to a bunch of other women and I've had again. I've had other women talk about like the imposter syndrome, like I didn't get a degree in this, I didn't get a certificate, honey, you lived it, you took the course and you passed the course. With life experience it's the same thing, if not better, if not better, in my personal opinion, because you can read a book, you can learn how to run a business, but until you are in it you have no idea what you're doing, until you actually lived it.
Speaker 2:Oh, I could talk about this all day. I get so many questions in my program of like, but I'm not certified. I'm like I don't give a shit. Like I said this example in my podcast, sorry, in the call the other day I was like, okay, imagine you go to Mount Everest and there's one person and he's a geologist and he's studying Mount Everest every single day.
Speaker 2:Like he's read all the books but he's never climbed to the top of Mount Everest. But he is a geologist, so he's certified and he knows the mountain. Or you can. Or there's another man who goes up and down the mountain. He's been to the top, he has so much experience down the mountain. Who are you gonna choose? Like, obviously the person who's been up to the top and down. I would never trust someone who's never climbed the mountain but he's certified. It's like it's. So again, there's a time and a place, like if it's someone doing plastic surgery, I would hope they're certified. But when it comes to like a lot of the coaching space, it actually really bothers me, because a lot of people start and they start as a business coach and they've never run a business. That is where I have a problem, because then you're not doing it for the right reasons, whereas like people that have these life experiences who've been.
Speaker 2:You know I've worked with hundreds of businesses. It was like 500 clients like I like to think I know what I'm doing and I have so much more to learn. But when my clients come to me and they say, okay, I've been through this but I'm not certified, I have to be like honey. I don't care, Just start like sir, yeah, cuz that's what you're here, your your life experiences will help the next person in line.
Speaker 1:What's the saying? You are the. You are the most equipped to help somebody who was in your position ten years. You know ten years ago. So you yourself, what's the saying? You know what I'm talking about, like your life Experience.
Speaker 2:You are most yeah, you are most equipped to support a previous version of yourself.
Speaker 1:Yes, Thank you, and that is so true because we've been through grief and trauma, we've run businesses, we've we take the, the big leaps of faith, we've made those calculated risks and we're gonna go and, yeah, I'm gonna follow you because you've done it and that's what I want. That's the direction I want to go. Again, like you said, versus somebody who's only taken a course, who only has a degree, but has no life experience, doesn't have anything, you know no reputation of it. You have that reputation of it and there's a lot of women out there Grief counselors or something like that who have experienced trauma, that, again, don't have a certificate or a degree, but they have the knowledge, they have the emotional intelligence to go back and help other people. Absolutely, I love that and I know we're gonna wrap it up a little bit because we're coming up on our hour mark, but I want Everybody to know who you are, if they already don't.
Speaker 1:I know a lot of my followers know who you are and a lot of them I've been waiting for this episode in this interview. So, okay, how, how can we find you on Instagram, facebook? I know you're on TikTok. I follow you on all the platforms and then your, your podcast your, your courses. I'm gonna link all that in the show notes because, again, like I swear by this course, I'm in the Freedom Club course and, for example, like this morning, calls I love the group calls and that's what you offer a lot of is because there's all these other Entrepreneur women in that group who are giving me all these different questions and ideas, things that I never thought I'm like, oh my gosh, that's a really good question. For example, this morning I wrote two pages worth of notes Just from other women's question, like I don't think about that, so how can we find you? Well, thank you so much for saying that.
Speaker 2:That makes my heart so happy and Thank you for just such a beautiful interview. So you can find me anywhere at Marley Rose Harris and you can follow my podcast at the money mindset manifestation podcast. You can just it's on every everywhere podcast are. And then, exactly like Megan was saying so, we have Freedom Club, which is, if you want to build an online six-figure business, go all in on your business, quit your nine to five. And we have higher self method, which is a 12 week course to heal and rewire any living belief blocks or fears. And coming very soon, depending on this episode goes out will be the app which is the most affordable way to rewire and heal your subconscious mind, to clear any fears, blocks and to really step into the version of you that you're meant to be. That's perfect. I love the idea of an app because I want you in my pocket and I want to be able to like with you out on an app.
Speaker 1:And then what would Marley do right now in this scenario?
Speaker 1:I feel like I could anybody could have access to you. You don't have to Buy it. You know one of your course or whatever. I love the fact that you're giving everybody the opportunity with your app to work with you. If they can't do it, they can't do it To work with you. I'm if they're not ready to make that commitment, those calls and Freedom club and all those things because it is a commitment when you, if you sign up for her courses or her one-on-one, it is a commitment. It's one of those things that I get up early in the morning to do the courses for. So the app is freakin genius. You're gonna reach so much more people who Can't access you yet for financial reasons, but this is going to be a much affordable, much more affordable offer and Option.
Speaker 1:I love that and congratulations on that. And also congratulations on finding your soulmate. I love listening to the journey unfold and I that makes me so happy. It's seriously, girl, because, like I'm over here trying to manifest my own soulmate and it's been processed. So listening to you and and your guys you guys are adorable, by the way, because I listened to your last Q&A podcast with him and it was so freaking cute. I think I was smiling the entire time.
Speaker 2:So oh, thank you so much, babe. Thank you so much, it's so sweet.
Speaker 1:All right. Well, thank you so much. And everybody. Everything is leaked in the show notes, so go give her a follow if you're not already, which I'm pretty sure every all my followers are following you probably already. Let's be real. But if you're not, or if you're interested in coaching, manifestation, business coaching, you need to go talk to Marley. Okay, thank you so much, girl. I appreciate you so much.
Speaker 2:Thank you, it's an absolute pleasure.
