Speaker 1Today I have an incredible guest and I ended up meeting this woman at a um a live podcasting event .
Speaker 1You guys heard me talk about Michaela J . She's been on the podcast , she's a friend of the podcast . Well , I went to her live podcasting event and the first woman I met there who had crazy curls . She's beautiful , she is vibrant , she was just so beautiful , her personality just shines and there was so many synchronicities where I just knew this girl was supposed to be in my life when it came to our Apple watches , having the same face place the face , the same face plate on it , and we both had Minnie mouse on our Apple watches to her name . Her name is Lily bean , which is crazy because I have called my daughter Libby bean since she was in my tummy and it's just it . There's more synchronicities that go into this , but this woman has her own podcast that I have recently binged and I can't get enough of . I had to have her on her podcast . Name is girl math and it is so freaking cute . Lily , welcome to updated AF and thank you for being on here .
Speaker 2Oh , I'm just so excited , I'm like a latest . It's just like this is my first time being on anyone else's podcast , so it's like a whole world you know .
Speaker 1Oh my God , that just like I just got chills when you said that Cause . That made my day Like I love the fact that I got you first because , girl , I can see your podcast and just you and everything about your brand going just wild , and so I feel so honored that I have the privilege to have you on first so you can always say the very first podcast I was ever on was updated .
Speaker 2AF . I was there . I've been there . Yeah , I know her . Yeah , we go way back .
Speaker 1We go way back . Tell me about you . I know I mean I , I know your story , but for the girls listening we need to talk about you first . So tell me about you in your life and everything okay , so I am .
Speaker 2You know your elevator pitch about yourself . It's like so , like you get in your head like , oh my gosh , who am I ? I don't know , I am well , I guess I know who I am . I'm I don't know , I am Well , I guess I know who I am . I'm like a 20 something . I'm about to turn 25 .
Speaker 2I'm a Gemini Ooh , okay , and it's just . It's been a whirlwind . I'm from Maryland . I've lived in Maryland . I've had the travel bug , though , so I've been going all over . I just recently got engaged , so the wedding's coming up , that's a whole nother part of like it's just different parts of my identity , I guess .
Speaker 2So it is yeah , I've always yeah , I'm an only child , and so that's . I love birth order more than like actual charts or anything . So I both of my parents took like it was really wonderful , they're together still , and my mom's an attorney , my dad's like a fire in the fire department , and so I've always kind of like thought , okay , I'm going to go to law school . Thought , okay , I'm going to go to law school . My mom and I are incredibly similar , so I always like I'm going to go to law school , I'm going to be an attorney . I've always been that boss , be like the boss bulge , kind of like okay , I'm going to play , just whatever I do , I've always been quirky . I was into musical theater . I was always kind of authentically myself . However , I showed up , that was who I was and and of course , some people , you know , are going to look down their little noses at me , but I'm , you know , okay and you're authentically you and that's what I love about you is like you're the girl that stands out .
Speaker 1I can see you . And when you said musical theater , I was like , oh that , yeah , I can see her in that , yeah she's a theater kid , but like I was , never .
Speaker 2I remember . Oh my god , this is icon . I don't I've never said this on the podcast because I'm afraid it's gonna get me in trouble with my mom , but she doesn't even listen . Say it , girl . I wanted to be Annie and you know , like you know , the sun will come out . Okay , I got absolutely Miss Hannigan , who's like the evil orphan . Yeah , yeah , my mom is like . My mom's way of consoling me was oh honey , it's okay . Annie didn't have a J-Lo booty . Oh my God .
Speaker 1That was her way of saying . It's okay . It wasn't meant to be like oh my gosh , I think that's I always like .
Speaker 2looking back , like during it probably stung , but now it's like like during it probably stung .
Speaker 2But now it's like , oh , that's hysterical , miss Hannigan , it is Right . Um , so I don't know , I , just I , you know I . So all of my life I thought I was going to be a , you know , follow my mom's footsteps , which is okay , you know . And so out of college , I , you know , I went to a liberal arts college . I double majored in law and business . Um , I was the president of , like everything . It was a small campus . I love knowing people , I'm a people person .
Speaker 2And basically after that I went , you know , to a law firm , worked there for a while and then I made the switch . I went to Special Olympics , maryland . So it's a nonprofit , completely different work . Everyone was working remotely at the time . So I was like all my friends and so I was like , well , I want to get on this wave and it was one of the best times . I miss it dearly . Great .
Speaker 2And then , you know , I met my now fiance and I was like , you know , he's making all this money , like I should be chasing the bag , and so I have went back into the law . So it's bankruptcy now , so it's definitely heavier and it's less client facing , which you know , I'm a , I , I , I would say , like I'm in between introvert and extrovert . I love my alone time but like I love being around people , so it's very weird , um , but yeah , being so it's not client facing and you know it's a lot of math . And so basically , I started maybe oh , actually I start jobs on very significant days . So , like , my first job was my mom's birthday and this job was nine 11 .
Speaker 1That's a heavy date , I know .
Speaker 2And I was like , oh , okay , and so I did that , and it's just I , I knew it was very mathy and all my life I've been told , like you know , yeah , math is not your strong point , babe . You know it wasn't like it was teachers , it was . You know , it was a lot of people .
Speaker 2And so I kind of like I was in my head and I was like , oh my gosh , this is , this , is not it . And I didn't have any creative outlets at the time and so around , like , and you know , my fiance , he's my biggest cheerleader and basically on our anniversary I was like , yeah , I need some sort of outlet . And he's like , well , you need to start a podcast .
Speaker 1And I've always kind of tweeted around Like a creative outlet . Is that what you're saying ?
Speaker 2Like you needed something that was just authentically yourself , not just your basic nine to five . You needed something that you could express yourself creatively , yes , yes . And so that's . And he , I mean we were . This is so funny , but for our anniversary we were staying the night at the Four Seasons and I , I was in bed and I ordered the mic , like , and the next morning came and that , and on our actual anniversary , I , um , I started it and I mean , no , that's kind of that , another significant day , right ?
Speaker 1So very interesting . But so you have a habit of starting something very big , something significant , on a specific date . So at least you'll never forget those dates Exactly .
Speaker 2Yeah , so that's , that's me , I guess .
Speaker 1How did you come up with the name girl math ? Because I think that is so fitting for your podcast . Like I said , I binged it and it reminds me more of like a lifestyle podcast and it's like . I love it because it's like little motive , like drops of motivation , little tips and tricks of just being a woman . It's so feminine and that's what I love about it is because like and then one like , you get to be yourself and you it's like . It's like I'm listening to a girlfriend on the phone . When I was listening to your podcast in my car , I felt like I was on the phone with a girlfriend because , like I was , I was actually like giggling and laughing and like smiling . When , when I was listening to you , the podcast is so good . What I mean ? Where did you come up with the idea of this podcast ? Because it's very specific .
Speaker 2Yeah , that's , that's so funny . So I had a girlfriend . It's so funny . And I have a lot of people who say they're like I feel like I'm like on the phone with a friend and like , yeah , so this is . You know , it's weird because you're like you're talking to the void , like we're talking to the void right now , and that we were just talking about how like beautiful it is , like you never know who's listening and I'm getting chills this whole episode . This is so funny . But you know , I try to like audience engagement , so it like audience engagement . So last episode I was like , all right , y'all bark . Like if you hear me bark , and like I had four friends text me , like y'all just had me barking out here , and I'm like , yes , yes , I did .
Speaker 1And it was interactive , like the thing is with you , like I said , like it's for anybody listening go listen to girl math and you will find yourself talking back to her . And it was so funny because there was one episode can't remember what it was but you said something oh , oh my gosh , I know what it was . You , you were talking about Beyonce and her new album , her new country album , and you're like singing the . You're like she has this one remake song of Blackbird and you're like I don't know who sings it , oh my gosh . And then I was like the Beatles and you're like I want to't know who sings it , oh my gosh . And then I was like the Beatles and you're like I want to say it's the Beatles . I started laughing because I seriously feel like I'm on the phone having a conversation with my girlfriend and the thing is with you . You're one your voice is very soothing , by the way , so you'd like fall asleep to it . But two , it's like you're so authentic and that's what I love
Building a Virtual Village of Women
Speaker 1about it .
Speaker 1There's not too many podcasts right now where you just feel like you could be on a hot girl walk listening to a friend and for anybody out there . We've talked about this on other previous podcasts of mine , where a lot of it . Right now we're in this isolation phase of the world where a lot of people suffer from being lonely , and now we have the opportunity , with podcasts and audio books and all the internet things , where we can have a virtual village . This podcast is for that girl who goes out on hot walks alone , who doesn't have that village or doesn't feel like she has any friends that are like her , because when I tell you like I answered back to you , forgetting that we're just I'm just listening to the podcast . I love it . I love it . I just wrote down what made you want this . Like what , what started this , this whole idea ?
Speaker 2So I had a like an old friend and she was wonderful and basically we live probably three to four hours apart at the time and she had a really crazy schedule and I had like a nine to five . This was back when I was like right out of college and so she had like a I don't even know . She wanted to work at like 5am and then got off at like two , but then she just our schedules didn't align and so when I would go on my walks , I would record a pop , like we called them podcasts , and this was back in 2020 , 2021 . And we would just do that and you know it was , it was so funny , it like you don't have them on our phone or my phone , and it was just like it kind of kickstarted my interest and I was like , okay , like I could do this , and I know this is , you know it's weird to toot your own horn and I , but I find myself very funny . I think I just cracked myself up .
Speaker 1No , you are .
Speaker 2And so it's like well , so I hope somebody you know I think we'll can benefit from this and I don't know . I just I , you know , and I , you are right . Like you know , I feel everybody's lonely at some point in their life and so I wanted to be like a resource and then , well , I guess , an inspiration , like I wanted to let people that they're not alone , and I love I just wrote down virtual village , I love that . So I that's , you know , I wanted to build a community where you know women and you know I know it's girl math , I don .
Speaker 1Absolutely . Can I ask you a personal question ? Go ahead . So I know that you have a podcast created predominantly just for like women , or anybody who identifies a woman , or whatever right , but like , did you go through a period in your life maybe where you felt like you kind of needed that friend or you felt lonely or something like that , and maybe that kind of stemmed or gave you the idea of creating this podcast ? Like , take me back to like young Lily . Like is that where this kind of comes from ?
Speaker 2Well , it was really so . It was during that time that I had graduated college it was like 2021 to , I would say , my fiance and I . I was , I just got diagnosed with celiac and I was living with three boys and it was beautiful , it was a really good time , but I had . I came to a point in my life . I really I . Something that I struggle with overarchingly is like my femininity . You know , like I want to be glam and I can be glam , but it's like you know I'm . I literally got on babe .
Speaker 1But you also have that masculine side , right Girl , same , Seriously same . I feel that . Trust me .
Speaker 2Yeah , and so I went through all of my podcasts and I was hot girl walking like five miles every morning . It was crazy and I unfollowed all the men . So I was just listening to all the women podcast like you know , female-based podcast and it was a really good time , but I was , like you know , the only one that really struck a chord with me was Michaela Jay and of course I was listening to like four or five podcasts Like it wasn't , like I was , you know , really .
Speaker 1But I was seriously . If you want feminine go listen to . Michaela Chang , because that girl's all about the feminine energy , so I get it . Yeah , oh my gosh .
Speaker 2So I just was walking and I I needed , like good girl , friends . And I think that it is something you know , especially as you kind of get older . You see all these girls with huge friend groups , huge bachelorette parties , all these girls and I've always had friends from different areas . And so , like I don't , you know , I have friends everywhere . But like also , you know , I'm not like I don't have a core group , I have my longest best friend and that's you know . And then I have other girlies , you know , here and there , and they're still wonderful , I love them . But so I felt like I'm like not jealous , like wow , wow , you craved it , you craved it .
Speaker 1It's not a jealousy thing , but you craved strong women around you . But you got to remember , babe , like I see those two , I have those girlfriends that have like 20 to 30 quote-unquote best friends , where you know they always look like they're out having a good time , they're going on all these vacations and all that stuff . But like you have to remember when , like , those girls probably see each other like once a year and they live in different States and for everybody listening that that also want that , that crave , that it is okay to have a virtual friend group , especially when it comes to to girlies and we've talked about this on another podcast that I've been on and stuff like that too . But like the thing is like you can have that , put yourself out in events .
Speaker 1That's how I met you , going to a live podcasting event , putting yourself in rooms with like-minded women and networking . And I mean that's how I met you and that's how I met other girls . Like I have . That's how I one night . That's how I met you and that's how I met other girls . Like I have girlfriends in Canada . I have girlfriends now in the UK because I go to these events and it's okay . I love the fact that , like if I ever end up in Maryland Lily , I'm coming to you Like .
Speaker 1I love that . Yeah , absolutely , and I can go to all these different States and I can meet up with a girl that I go on like virtual happy hour dates with , like I do that with my girlfriends in Canada . So it's okay . You were building a network , if anything , with your podcast and having the opportunity to meet women all over the world and having a virtual village .
Speaker 2That's what I feel like your podcast is doing . Yeah , it's , it's , it is , you're correct , cause it's like we , Ryan and I , went to Austin and I was like , okay , I'm going to go to Michaela's event and you know , we had some other things planned but I was like , okay , I don't really know how this is going to go , which is fine , you know . And , um , we were the , we were the first two there , we were the early birdies . I know I was the second .
Speaker 1I was the second . Yeah , yeah , I think I was yeah Because remember , I came early and then I saw you and then you and I hit it off immediately . I was like , oh , I love her energy , I'm just going to stick to Lily . And plus , again , the synchronicities were insane . I was like , okay , I hear you . Universe , I meant to meet this woman , yeah .
Speaker 2Yeah , you brought Michaela flower . You were dead . You just look so glam and I'm like , how do I ? I want to be her , like what , what , what's going on ? Like . And then what you were doing , this is so funny . But you were I think you were talking to Michaela or whatever and I felt like I was like , oh my gosh , like out of place . But I was like , okay , I don't want to like impose . I know she has to set it up . So I went . I don't know what you were doing , but I went and explored . I got in the cold plunge .
Speaker 1I was like I know you did I know People listening and we went to Michaela J's live podcasting event and if you , if you're a listener of hers , you know that she's going on tour , she's doing all the things with her podcast , which is incredible . And Michaela J's event was at a wellness center and it had cold plunging , it had massage chairs , it had all the wellness things at like everything Right . But the thing is with me , um , I'm too vain to get into a cold plunge Cause I'm afraid of messing up my hair and makeup . So , like I love the fact that you're just like you did it , I stayed out and I just sat there and I hung out and I just watched Michaela run around trying to get the event started or like put together before all the other girls . And you came out and you're like I went into the cold plunge and I was like I really do want to go into the cold plunge .
Speaker 1But if I mess up this hair and makeup and I like I'm just too vain for that , you were just like I did it . I went in and then you were like you came out refreshed .
Speaker 2Yeah , and I did . I know this isn't I didn't . I don't think I admitted this one to you , but I went into the Himalayan salt room with the massage chairs room with the massage chairs . I like the wall . You're like we're about to find out if this is real . I did , I swear . I'm like this is not a nice place . The plants are real .
Speaker 1Salt wall . I love that girl . I almost I almost wonder how many other people have done that . So your DNA is on that wall , probably with like a hundred other people .
Speaker 2You know what it's an honor and a privilege .
Speaker 1You left your mark in Austin , texas . Oh I'm scared , oh my gosh . So that's why you started girl math . You just wanted to make other women around the world feel like they have a village or feel like they have a friend to connect with , and I love that , because that's also the reason why I started Updated AF . And , like I said , like for anybody listening , you got to go listen to Girl Math . But where do you see yourself going with this ? What do you want to do with it ?
Speaker 2you know it's , it's . It's crazy because it's like , and I every I just said this on my podcast , but like every day I wake up like Barbie , I'm like I could do whatever , like , yes , you can you really can't okay , like um , but it's .
Speaker 2It's funny because I I know we keep on talking about Michaela , but I went on her Dominican Republic and it was , oh , that's right , that's right , it was the best time I met some real . You know , that was a great networking , you know time , and I met some really great women and it was just like wild , you know well let's talk about that .
Speaker 1Tell us about the Dominican Republic retreat , because , like , obviously I knew she was having it . But let's , let's talk about that . Tell us about the Dominican Republic retreat , because , like , obviously I knew she was having it . But let's , let's talk about it . What did it do for you ? Let's , because that's a big . That's a big thing .
Speaker 2Yeah , it was , it was crazy . So I booked
Empowering Women Through Friendship and Creativity
Speaker 2it . So it was last January and I had just gotten into , like I had my dream car , like I was so , like I was in my element and I had gotten rear-ended and I was like my car was totaled . I was miserable , got in bed that night and I literally booked a retreat . I saw Michaela and I messaged her and I was like I just booked this trip because , like I , you know having a crazy time . Then in I think it was like August , I think , we went um , it was a solo trip and it was .
Speaker 2I went with the intention of I wanted to , like you know , I feel like I put myself in these slumps , and then it's like okay , like oh , poor , poor , pitiful me , like I mean , you know , and so , but it's like , girl , you know , like you know , I need a little slapping around and I knew that Michaela could do that , you know .
Speaker 2And so I go and , you know , some other problems arose with my own personal self that were like these be treated first . But we did meditations , we did like excursions and like it was just such a good time , the feminine energy was just like out of this world , like we were all like it was like a collective , you know it was , you know , and it was scary , cause it's like okay , like I , you know , I think as women we do tend to trust our intuition , and so you know , it was like okay . If something , you know , if I get into the Dominican Republic and I'm like the vibes are off , like I'm coming back home , you know , cause it's a little trip , like it's , you know , foreign country , okay , um , but it wasn't , and you hear horror stories , but it really wasn't in .
Speaker 1you know , I walked into the house and it's , I see Michaela for the first time and I'm like screaming , I'm like , oh my God , you know , and the thing is with you . And you said that you're like I'm going to go and just check out the vibe . If the vibe is off , I'm going to go home . But you got to remember , as a collective , it only takes one or two people in that room to have a high vibration for you to feed off of and it completely can take you out of a dark place . And I've experienced this myself . A high vibe woman , especially for me .
Speaker 1I'm a , I'm such a girl's girl . Um , if there , if I'm at a dark place , I've been there too . I've had to pull myself out of dark places . But if there's another woman who's high vibe , that can completely pull you out of that dark place . But you took yourself to a foreign country and you're like screw it , fuck it , I'm just going to go , I'm just going to see what happens . But Michaela is such a light and I love her and I'll talk about her all day on this podcast . I don't care . And she just took you out and she was like I got you , girl .
Speaker 2Yes , yes , and it was . It was wonderful . It was like the , that , the whole everything that she did was like one , like we had a private chef , like we had a driver , a mate . It was . It was a wonderful and opulent experience . And then , on top of that , like just the , the community that was there was great , and even you know I left that and I did feel like I was like , wow , like I have a girl group and I told Ryan , you know my fiance now I was like when I get engaged , that's the first , those are the people I'm calling . Like that's how close I felt with them and I still feel , I mean , I still you know , I was texting one of the girls today and you know the other girl , like I , I just started making blankets , which is kind of crazy , but all right , like I know I heard your podcast .
Speaker 1You , you crochet , and all I know is I want to . I want a handmade lily bean crochet blanket where I can just cuddle up . I'm a blanket girl , so I wear sweaters . I , as you can see here , I'm wearing a hoodie as soon as I come through my door . It doesn't matter if it's 117 degrees outside , like it here it is right now in San Antonio , it doesn't matter . I have a blanket on me at all times and I have a hoodie . And I heard that you crochet and I'm like how do I get a crocheted ?
Speaker 2blanket . Yes , send me your address . I sent one to Oregon .
Speaker 2I literally want to text you as soon as we get done with this episode of my address , so you can send me a crochet it's so fun and it's it's very peaceful , it's like it's something that I do that , like , resets my mind and , you know , create another creative outlet . You know , and I just I'm always searching for creative outlets that , you know , make me feel feminine , make me feel like I have . You know that , you know , make me feel feminine , make me feel like I have . You know an , you know a place where I belong Right , and it's meditative too .
Speaker 1So anytime you're doing something like that , especially in a creative field , it is actually very meditative and it can completely just alter your mood and raise your vibration , whether you like it or not . It's just one of those things where it's going to completely change your , your brain , everything . So I love that you're doing that .
Speaker 2Yeah , yeah . So so the girls that I was with , you know , they all inspired us in Dominican Republic . And then , you know , I kind of came back and I was talking to my fiance and he's like , well , you know , there's another girl that I follow online and she's wonderful , but she would , you know she's she , she was one of my favorites and I got him on to her and like , but you know , she's been as you know and like , and to the point where it's like , okay , I had to unfollow her , like I was like girl , I'm done and it's fine . You know , there's a time and a place to be negative , but it was just constant negativity . At that point , and , yeah , I was , I was like Ryan , my fiance was like , well , you , you could do that , like , you come on , like you've got the personality , like you're , you're beautiful , you're funny , like , and I do like foster community wherever I go .
Speaker 2And I'm like , okay , well , you know , let's , let's try it out . And I mean , eventually it would be nice to like . I mean it's so weird , cause it's like I don't want to like jump the gun , but I also don't want to like sell myself short , um , so I don't know , I would , I would love to be , I mean not an influencer , I think that has such a . You know , it leaves your mouth a little dry , but I know .
Speaker 1And the thing is yeah , but the thing is like you kind of are in in in a positive light . You're not one of those influencers that you are trying to sell a bunch of random shit that we don't need .
Speaker 2Let's be real .
Speaker 1Like no , we're not doing that . But the thing is with you being a positive influencer with this podcast , I'm telling you , it made me feel like I was on the phone with a friend and in a world where we're all out here feeling lonely because it's a very digital world right now , I think it can help a lot of listeners out there who go on long walks , who go to the gym and just need something positive , something funny . You have a very comedic tone about you and that's what I really love . There's so many podcasters out there that are just going off on tangents and that's what I said .
Speaker 1I was like you're not a tangent , you have a comedic tone , you have a message and when I was listening to you , it felt like I was on the phone with a girlfriend and that's what I loved about girl math . You have to do more with this girl . Like I'm telling you , I do feel honored that I've had you first , because I can see this podcast blowing up . I can see Girl Math becoming an event . I can see a live podcast . I can . It's crazy .
Speaker 2It's interesting and I
Girl Math Comedy Show Concept
Speaker 2you know . So when we were in Austin , you know Joe Rogan , we were talking about Joe Rogan , right , and so you said I have a little soothing tone . You started soothing tone , what you know , whatever . Okay , I don't Sigma male , whatever the hell that is .
Speaker 1Yeah , so you you went to a show .
Speaker 2You went to the Joe Rogan show yeah , right , right , right , all right , and um , so my fiance loves him , and so we went and I'm like , you know , like I could , like I'm gonna . So Michaela has this bad shit crazy idea , like where you do things that are pushing your comfort zone , I'm going to come up with like tight 10 and send it to Joe Rogan and tell him put me on , and I mean obviously he , if he doesn't respond , okay , at least I have a tight 10 , but I think I could definitely be like I mean a comedian who is like I think I'm funny , you know , I think I have very , you know , funny . I think I just , I don't know , I think that's kind of where I want to go , but also , you know , like a female comedian that's not one of the boys , most respectfully , but also not like you would be a feminine one , so think about it , Like you we have .
Speaker 1We have great female comedians , but like , if you think about it , like , for example , like Amy pool , or uh , amy , uh , what's her name ? Schumer ? Amy Schumer , she's funny , she's very she . She has a feminine side , but I feel like she's , she has a very masculine energy about her when she does take the state . She's very masculine . Now , with you , again , again , you have a comedic tone about you and talking about the , the topics that you have on girl math , but making it into a more stand-up comedic root event . Oh , my gosh , like I think that's where you would shine . There's not enough like super feminine stand-up comics . I can see that for you and literally call it girl math . Sign me up for that freaking show . I will literally fly out . I will be the first person to buy a ticket and I will fly out to see that show . Like girl , you can do it . You , you know that right . Like , you just need to write like some sort of script and do what ?
Speaker 1michela J did book an event like an event space and sell tickets and you're good , why not ?
Speaker 2Why not ? That's the plan .
Speaker 1Who knows , I love that . I love that about you . I love that you're also one of those girls that just see something that she wants and just does it .
Speaker 2Goes for it . Cause you know , like , the worst thing that can happen and like I always like when people are like Lily what should I do ? I'm like the worst thing that can happen is either it doesn't happen or someone says no like , and if you say no , okay , I'm gonna make it happen myself , and so , yeah , that's my , that's my motto . I guess I don't know yeah .
Speaker 1So do you have a time frame with this seriously , girl , because like I kind of want to see this come to fruition .
Speaker 2Are you working on this or is ?
Speaker 1this something you can see yourself doing in the next few weeks .
Speaker 2You know you're kind of lighting a fire under my took a stab , that's what I have a habit of doing .
Speaker 1I always talk like , if you're , if you're in my my girl circle , which you are now , I hold my friends accountable . I'm like I , I'm constantly checking up on my girlfriend saying , hey , so we talked about A , b and C , so where are you at on this ? And so I , I , I honestly think that this is something you should be working on .
Speaker 2I'm just saying I agree . And so you know , we just got back from Austin , like two weeks ago , and I'm not making excuses , I'm saying I , I'm at work and I have I literally just cleaned up my purse . I have like notes of like , okay , here's what I should do , that you know . So I'm crafting the type 10 , I want to like perfect it , I want to get the timing and then I want to take it to um , there's like a local bar or whatever that does like comedy nights . I want to take it to them . Yeah , and , and I want to , I would like to record , like , if that I mean I know that'll go well , per , so then I'm going to have someone record that and then I would like to .
Speaker 2I mean , I know , I mean I like to get in with either you know barstool or I don't really know what . I don't know what Joe Rogan's company is , but like you know he doesn't have . I will say you know , barstool has called her dad . She is Alex Cooper icon , the mother , but Rogan doesn't have a strong female presence that I that I know of , and he granted me a boy , boy . But I think he is missing that female presence and so I would like to market it towards him and see , you know , see if he bites , but who ?
Speaker 1knows who knows , but are you going to be as like , open and vulgar as he is , or are you going to bring something different , girl ?
Speaker 2Because well , I think I'll be different and so one of the things that I so this is me , master , like , this is me like cooking up in the shower , babe , I haven't even admitted this out loud but I don't think I'm going to be as sexual , I don't think I'm going to .
Speaker 2I think you know , I think women who talk about you know , obviously sex is sacred , like and I'm down with you , we can talk about sex , you know , with my girls . I'm not going to sell out like that , like I want to , like not , and I don't think it's a sellout , but I think that is , you know , it's an easy way out . So I want , you know , I want it to be more about my life experiences and , like you know , the day-to-day , and I do it at comedy , mothership , his club , he , you know they don't do a lot of the wall from one of all , they didn't do a lot of work . So kind of take it there . But I don't , you know , I , this is all just concoctions in my brain , babe , you're , you're weaseling it out of me , girl .
Speaker 1I'm telling you , I'm one of those friends that you now are stuck with . That literally holds people accountable . I'm like , so when are you going to do those ? Do you have a blueprint ? Do you need help writing a script ? I'm seriously like I can see you doing this and , oh my gosh , like , please , like , do it in Austin , because I'm only two hours away from Austin but , I , can get childcare .
Speaker 1I could see you doing this in Austin . I mean , austin's a big community where they're big on music and live events and comedy and you know all that stuff so like I can see you selling tickets out here in Austin .
Speaker 2Oh , I know . So , yeah , you're , you're holding me to it , but I , I need that , you know I do . I need that , so I will . I'm probably gonna , after this , I'm going to take a shower , get in my jammies and then I'm going to go , like craft , like you know , kind of compile my notes . See how it goes .
Speaker 1I love it , oh my gosh . And for anybody out there , all of my listeners , I want again . Her podcast is girl math . And for anybody out there listening that wants to contact you or even follow you on Instagram , where can they find you on on all social media ?
Speaker 2Yep . So all of my social media platforms are at bunches XOXO . B ? U ? N-n-c-h-e-s . Xoxo that's kind of my moniker . I wouldn't , I that's . I've had that for years and I know it's kind of like , okay , lily , where's that coming from ? Like the branding's off , but I , that's just who I am , that's that's that . I made it in middle school for a grant with the government and for like a science project and I used to call everybody honey bunches , right . And then XO , you know , loving , you know , and I mean that's on , you know , facebook , twitter , instagram , twitter I don't use as much , but are like X now I guess . But like that's TikTok and you just find me there . And yeah , of course , my podcast is on Apple music and Spotify , that's you know . So that's where I am . That's how you can make a difference .
Speaker 1And I'm going to link everything in the show notes so that my listeners can go listen to your podcast and slide in her DMS and say hi and make sure that you let her know , leave her a review .
Speaker 1I left your review , by the way , cause I had to . I literally was at a stop stop light Don't text and drive people but I was at a stoplight and I had to do it because I was like absolutely I needed to leave her a review . So go listen to one or
Motivational Podcast Promotion and Accountability
Speaker 1two episodes . The good thing about your podcast is they're like bite size . It's perfect amount of time just to like if you're going somewhere really quick , if you have a 15 minute drive somewhere . Your episodes range from 15 to 25 minutes , which are great , because if somebody's just wanting to listen to some sort of like motivational podcast or something to take their mind off of whatever the hell they're going through , this is the podcast for you . That's what I love about it . You just you're so funny , you're a beautiful person . It's just inside and out and I and I had to share you with my listeners .

Speaker 1Like I love it .

Speaker 1Thank you for coming on . Updated AF girl . I love you so , so much and I'm going to have you back because when you start your very first live event and it's going to happen , so when you do it , I want to have you on the night prior and I want to just talk about that girl . So she will be back . Lily Bean will be back because I'm going to make sure this happens . Like I said , you're part of my circle now and I don't give my friends slack . If they want to do something , I make sure that they're going to do it .
Speaker 2So you're going to do it . I think accountability buddy says per sign me up . So thank you . I just keep getting chills Like this is great , Wow .
Speaker 1I feel honored . Thank you so much for being on .
