Unlocking Abundance with Manifestation and Gratitude
Imagine harnessing the power of your thoughts to shape the life you desire. On this episode of Updated AF Collective, I will guide you through the transformative world of manifestation and the law of attraction. I'll share my own journey and the profound impact that intentional manifesting has had on my life. Learn how to consciously direct your thoughts to create a positive reality, and understand why maintaining an open mind and practicing gratitude are essential to this process. Referencing the foundational principles from "The Secret", we will strip away the myths and uncover the truth about how we are always manifesting, whether aware of it or not.
Next, we dive into the heartwarming practice of gratitude, which I believe is the cornerstone of conscious living and manifestation. I’ll recount my personal experiences with "The Magic" gratitude practice and the incredible results that followed. You'll discover how expressing gratitude as though your dreams have already come true can attract more positivity and abundance into your life. We’ll also explore the daily magic found in small acts of kindness and emphasize the importance of reciprocating these gestures to those who enrich our lives. Get inspired to cultivate gratitude, spread kindness, and keep manifesting your dreams with intention and love.

Guys, welcome back to Updated AF Collective, the podcast. I am your host, megan Wirth. Today is another episode on manifestation. Yeah, I know it is mainstream, everybody is talking about it. But the thing is, everybody is talking about it. So, like, what is real, what is fake, what is made up, what is somebody's theory or whatever it is. And I'm just going to talk about what works for me in the most simplest form and what has worked for me in the past when it comes to intentionally manifesting, because, let's be freaking real, we are manifesting, whether we like it or not. All manifesting is is bringing something to our awareness or creating something, whether you intentionally created it or you didn't mean to do it. What works for me and what is definitely going to work for you. You guys, welcome back to the show.

Speaker 1:Okay, let's just jump right into it. I want to keep this episode short, sweet to the point, because there are literally hundreds, if not thousands, of different podcasts out there, um, all talking about the law of attraction, manifestation, because it has become a huge topic. People are seeing that like, hey, all of this shit is super real and we're just now kind of like making it mainstream. So there's like a lot of people out there that are talking about it, of like making it mainstream. So there's like a lot of people out there that are talking about it and there's a lot of people that I feel like, who I follow and who I can call a mentor because let's be real, be careful who you call a mentor who are actively doing it every single day and sharing their experiences. So, in order to understand manifestation, you have to know what the law of attraction is. Yeah, we're literally breaking it down into bite-sized pieces there for people out there that are either new to the law of attraction or are over-complicating it.
Speaker 1:So the basic definition of the law of attraction is that positive or negative thoughts can lead to positive or negative experiences. We've talked about this on the podcast before. Guys, your thoughts create your reality. So if you are a really negative person, if you're a hateful person, you're going to have more of those really negative experiences because you're drawing it and you're looking for it. Right, say, I'm somebody who's like super grouchy and pissed off all the time and I hate the world. I'm going to be purposely looking for reasons that I am right, cause your brain always wants to be right. If you are one of those people that are really positive, you're always looking for blessings, you're always looking for ways that you can show gratitude or looking for reasons to be grateful kind of thing Like you're going to bring in more of those experiences into your reality. So how you think bases your reality.
Speaker 1:Those like I'm not political at all this is not a hit on politics, but people who are like anti whoever's in office, right, they're going to be looking for reasons why this person is literally failing at being the president or being the governor or whatever. It doesn't matter, they're not even going to be seeing anything positive that person is doing. They're just going to be trying to prove themselves right and looking for reasons why they hate that person. It's the same for every single aspect of your life. Look at the things that you really don't like or you're really uncomfortable with, and if you're not clearing those beliefs and if you're not trying to expand your mind or be open-minded, you're going to constantly be looking for reasons why you are right and everybody else is wrong. That's why it's not good to go on the internet and just try to look for people who are like-minded like you, or only have friend groups that are like-minded like you, because, again, we are only trying to prove ourselves right.
Speaker 1:So, again, the law of attraction is like the base, it is the, you know, the starting of this whole thing. So, just knowing the simple definition of the law of attraction, right? So when we talk to, we talk about manifesting, right. What is it? Bringing? Something into your reality, into your sight, something tangible. You can touch it, you can smell it, you can taste it, all of the things. So, again, when you are walking around the world with an open mind and you're looking for ways that you can show gratitude, you can be grateful Again, creating a reality for yourself. That is a very positive experience. You're going to be attracting, in all of those things that you are wanting, people who walk around the world and they're pissed off and angry all the time. They may not want those experiences, but because they're fixated on it in their head, they're bringing those experiences to them and it goes the other way, right.
Speaker 1:Like I said, you're constantly manifesting, whether you're doing it intentionally or whether you're doing it unintentionally. For me, what has worked when it comes to things like that is, at the end of the day, it's just a gratitude practice. If you go back to the basics of when you a lot of people, their first introduction to the law of attraction was the secret, and to me that's like home base. If I fall off track or if I forget what are the basics to get myself back on track for conscious manifesting, I'll go back and I'll read the Secret. I'll watch the movie the Secret. There's another book that Rhonda Byrne created called the Magic, and it's just a straight gratitude practice.
Speaker 1:On like, I think there's like 28 different ways to show gratitude and what ultimately has worked for me is a gratitude practice and sometimes I fall off the wagon and I forget to do my gratitude in the morning and then at nighttime. Sometimes I only do it at nighttime, sometimes I only do it in the morning. Sometimes I don't have freaking time. I'm a single mom trying to get my shit together and stay positive and all the other fun things, right, because I'm very conscious about what the energy I'm putting out into the world, so that I'm not attracting some crazy shit because I have. When I got to a car accident back in December and my beautiful SUV was totaled, I went into a really dark place because I'm like how the hell did I attract this? At the end of the day, I feel like life happens and I always have to remind myself like, okay, there's a reason why this is happening. I might not understand it now, but I'm going to understand it later. And it doesn't. It goes for anything negative that happens in your life, right?
Speaker 1:So making sure that I am looking for reasons to be grateful is my number one priority. When I walk out the door, um, constantly trying to look for things, because I notice the beauty in the world, more beauty in magic comes back to me. So I recently have restarted. I hit the reset button because I noticed like I was kind of stuck. I was in a neutral position and it's really hard to manifest from a neutral position because my vibration is neutral.
Speaker 1:All vibration is is the theory of thoughts, and everything that you're feeling is all energy. And what I love about that is you know cause, we're energy. We're spirits, we're energy, our thoughts are energy. Nothing is you know, everything is putting out a vibration, because energy is a vibration. And my favorite thing about that is when I am feeling really grateful. I don't really have to say too much because I can feel it and I think the feeling is more important than the saying it or writing it down in a gratitude journal. But writing it down for me really does put me in a grateful vibration, a grateful feeling, because more magic happens when you are feeling it.
Speaker 1:I like to think because, again, like I'm a medium and I've read women and men from all over the world and the one question I always used to get is if my loved ones didn't speak any English, are you still going to be able to communicate with them? And I'm like, absolutely One. We're not speaking really English. It's more of a feeling, it's more of a knowing and I can tell when they were really upset about something that they had done on earth, or if they can feel that the person that they're trying to connect with their loved one here on earth is like going through something they're going to make me feel it. So that is just another reminder for me that, like everything, is just a vibrational energy of feeling and I love that because I can just sit here in silence. I don't have to sit here and talk to myself or I could. Whatever's going to put me in the grateful mood or whatever. Whatever it takes for you. Sometimes it's praying out loud, sometimes it's having that moment of silence where you're just writing things down and just being grateful about the little things in the world. But universe or God or whatever you want to call it, source, whoever your person is up there person, spirit, energy like a universe we'll just use universe and we don't really have to say much. We can just sit here and feel into it. I don't think God or the universe or source speaks any sort of language. I feel like it's just a vibration of energy that we're putting out.
Speaker 1:We can be super pissed off all the time and not say a word and just be angry all day, or moments of anger, and the universe is going to pick up on that. And I try. I mean we're human, right, and I don't. I'm not for that toxic positive positivity bullshit where we can just walk around and be like, oh, that's okay, my, my, that my beautiful three-year-old SUV is completely totaled Great, I'm just going to smile through this. No, get fucking pissed off. It's okay to get pissed off. I think in order to come out of that negative feeling, you have to feel it, to heal it. So, get pissed off. Things that happen to you. They're really bad. We lose people, people pass away, our houses burned down or whatever the case is. Those are really really extreme, terrible things to happen. But please don't ever feel like you have to cover that shit up, otherwise you're going to start attracting more of that into your life. That's not the case. That's not the case at all. Sometimes you do have to get pissed off. So back to what I was saying.
Speaker 1:What really does work for me and what I can't express enough is just writing down the things that you're grateful for. I have to write it down to feel it. Sometimes I could just sit there in a meditation and like feel into it without writing things down, but it does work. Um, read the book the magic by Rhonda Byrne. It is a full 28 page. Um, every single day you have arne, it is a full 28 page. Every single day you have a new challenge. It's a hard book to do because, again, like if you're not used to doing it every single day, having a gratitude practice, if you don't have an accountability buddy, it's going to be difficult.
Speaker 1:So for me, I have my virtual book club and that's how I discovered the book was through my virtual book club. So I can literally just grab one of those girls out of our Facebook group, our private Facebook group, and be like, hey, who wants to do this shit with me? Because after about day eight I'm like forgetting about it. So it's really good when you have somebody to check in with daily and be like, hey, girl, did you do your gratitude practice? And I'm like I'm doing it right now, forgot. So don't do it by yourself, unless you are one of those people that are really good about having that routine.
Speaker 1:But, like I said, I think where a lot of girls and guys that teach the law of attraction, that teach manifestation, all the laws of the universe and all that stuff. I feel like at the end of the day, all it takes is a gratitude practice. There's all that extra stuff that you can quote, unquote quantum leap and all that things but at the end of the day, if you are just wanting something simplistic and you don't want to buy a $5,000 manifestation course and you don't want all of those things, just do a gratitude practice and see how far you come with your conscious manifesting. I won't get into it. I feel like I um, like I said, I just started the magic again. I think I'm on day 23. I have my bookmark 23. And I've already manifested things. That which I seriously am in absolute disbelief about. We'll get into that later, because right now it's all unfolding, it's all in happening.
Speaker 1:It actually started on day seven when I got the news that things that I've been trying to bring into my life and trying to work really hard to get took seven years to get it. I finally have it, but again it took like really concentrating on. This is what I want. This is what I want to bring into my awareness. My life, my reality, this is what I want. This is what I want to bring into my awareness my life, my reality, and I just started focusing on that and then I wrote, as if I already had it, how grateful I felt. And I sat there after I wrote it and I just gave myself like 10 seconds to feel like, oh my gosh, thank you so much for giving this to me. God, thank you so much. I know it's on its way. It's on its way, and then I leave it at that and then the next day I'll write it down again. Thank you, I know it's on its way and I just let it go. So, again, I hope this episode helps. Just bring it back to the basics, just if you don't know where to start.
Speaker 1:Just writing a gratitude list is is absolutely life-changing, whether you're trying to manifest or not, I think, at the end of the day, we need to be looking for things that are magical. My favorite saying I've been saying this for years is life is magic Since I discovered the law of attraction back in 2020. And I'm just like oh my gosh, like life is a hell of a lot more magical than I thought it was, and I always look for little things like somebody getting the door, somebody smiling at me, somebody waving at me. I love when I, like, drive down the street of my little small country town and the neighbors are out for a walk and they just wave. It's so nice. I love when people are nice. We need more kindness in the world and I love that shit.
Speaker 1:Also, as a friend, I always try to make sure that my other friends have a piece of magic that happens in their life. I have a lot of friends that are givers and, um, I just didn't, I'm like I'm not even going to name a few because I don't know, I don't know, people use them a lot in my just what I've seen. So, um, because they're that type of woman where they're just giving to their communities or giving to their friends and family. And I just look back and I'm like, do people put magic in your life? So I'll send them like a Starbucks gift card or I will write them a text message or I'll call them and just say, hey, like this. You know, I would tell them like you're amazing. I don't know if anybody's told you this in a long time, but you're absolutely amazing. My biggest thing, like I said, it's so easy to send like a $10 Starbucks gift card and all I say is like copies on me. This morning I was thinking about you and I miss you a lot. It's just I want to make sure that they have magical moments in their life, because I worry sometimes that they're not getting as much as they're like putting out into the world, because these girls are absolutely amazing people and I think it's really good to be a good friend and make sure that your friends and family around you know that you know there is magic out there, and if you can provide a piece of that magic throughout the day, why not just do it?
Speaker 1:Anyway, guys, that's our episode. Thank you so much for tuning in. I hope you're enjoying the podcast. Yeah, thank you. Subscribe, leave a review, follow me on Instagram, say hi, whatever I mean, I follow you back. I'm not again. Like I know I've talked about this on the podcast before, but like I'm not one of those people that like I just I'm here for the follows and this. You know stuff like that. Like I want to talk to you. So I hope you guys have a great rest of the week and thank you so much for listening and go manifest. Bye, guys.
