Hey guys, welcome back to Updated AF Collective. The podcast. I am your host, megan Wirth, recording live in my brand new house, in my office. That is still cluttered and there's boxes everywhere, but it didn't matter. Like I was so excited to record an episode in my new office that will soon be my podcasting recording studio, and I am just still in complete shock that I was able to manifest a brand new house two and a half years after becoming an entrepreneur and most of you guys know my story, but if you don't know my story, I left my career in law enforcement after 10 years in California and sold my house, quit my job and moved to Texas and started completely over. On top of that, I'm a 100% single mom, so it's literally just me just me and my daughter just starting completely over. I got my real estate license when I got here and jumped into real estate and started the podcast a year later.
Speaker 1:Just this moment of buying a house, it's something that I definitely manifested. There's absolutely no way I should be sitting here right now with you in this gorgeous house. It is literally my dream house. It's the biggest house I've ever bought. Gorgeous house, it is literally my dream house. It's the biggest house I've ever bought. It's bigger than my house in San Diego and I'm just still in shock, like I wake up here every single morning and the first words out of my mouth is just like thank you, thank you God, universe and my spirit team, and I want to talk about a little bit about how I was able to manifest this house, but also everything that I was able to manifest while being here and jumping into what I ultimately wanted to do and leaving fear in the past, leaving fear behind and just going for it. Stop overthinking and just go for it. Stop overthinking and just go for it.
Speaker 1:I think when I discovered the law of attraction, it took three years, by the way, for me to quit my job and to sell my house. It took three years from the time that I knew I wanted out. I let fear hold me back at every excuse in the freaking book that I'm a single mom. I don't have help. Being a real estate agent is really freaking hard. Where are the clients going to come from? And I'm moving to a state where I don't know anybody. I know one person actually my best friend, who was my neighbor in San Diego, moved here first and we were just best friends and we joke to this day that we cannot live without each other and we just followed each other here to Texas. But, um, ultimately I didn't know anybody and I was absolutely terrified, but it took three years to get the courage. So when I discovered the law of attraction, um, I don't, I don't, maybe it was Gabby Bernstein who was one of my first um authors that you know, I, I, I, maybe, as the universe has has your back. That was a really good book. I still have that book and I still kind of listen to it periodically on audible when I'm like cleaning the house and doing the dishes. It's a great book to have on in the background and it just teaches you that you know.
Speaker 1:If it's on your heart and it's something you want to do, there's a reason for it. You just have to go for it. You just have to jump in. A lot of people won't just jump in.
Speaker 1:I was one of those. I had every excuse, especially because I was a mom. I'm like, how am I going to be able to like, feed my daughter, feed myself, pay for rent, all of those things you know, like really thinking small? I don't. I don't know. My biggest fears were these like insignificant things. I guess they're not insignificant when you really do need to pay your rent and feed your child, but there's something to be said about just fucking doing it. Just do it. What's the worst that can happen? You're not going to die. And that's what I keep telling myself is I'm not going to die. I can find a way to go back to California and move in with my mom. You know, like I didn't want that to happen. I wanted to succeed here in Texas, and so I knew the only way I would chicken out of this gigantic adventure is if I move out of state and I don't give myself a plan B option, because if I would have jumped into real estate in California you know the PD's right there I could always go back, but I don't want to go back. So I again, in old Megan fashion, did something really extreme. I have a habit of that Waking up one day and joining the military, going into law enforcement and then jumping into real estate.
Speaker 1:Before I made this move and during those three years that I was really, really scared. I was reading all the books. I took a mastermind course on the law of attraction. I um, I read a lot, actually listened to every single manifestation, law of attraction, podcast, podcasts on spirituality, christianity because it does go hand in hand whether you believe it or not and I began to journal and do visualization. So for me, that's that to me, has worked. The best was journaling for three years before I made this move and jumped into real estate and this podcast and the book and all that fun stuff.
Speaker 1:I used to write as if it already happened and I would write it over and over again I'm Texas top selling real estate agent. I would write it over and over again. I Texas top selling real estate agent. I would write that over and over again. I think there's a reason for it. I don't know. I'm sure somebody's invented that already. But this is just what works for me and as I'm writing it, I'm imagining it, I feel it and I'm just getting excited. It's literally soothing me, it's taking all of my anxiety away, just by writing it and then feeling it. I did the same thing. I am a Texas homeowner. I bought my dream house effortlessly which it freaking was but I put a time limit on it. I said after two years it's going to buy a house. Here we are two and a half years. I'll take it universe, but um, I used to just write it. For three years straight I would write it, and I still have those journals. By the way, it's crazy to look back at what I was able to manifest as soon as I got here.
Speaker 1:The people just found me because when you ask for something, when you ask for a big desire and a big dream, that's on your heart First of all. It's on your heart for a freaking reason, you know. God put that there, the universe put that there. It wants to give you what you actually want. Those are little, minor things. You want to be a successful real estate agent. In your very first year of jumping into this career path, ask how many people ask for like small things, like, oh, I just want to maybe like one transaction or, you know, maybe one client here and there. You know, cause you, you feel like you have to keep you, keep yourself small. I wrote my best case scenario over and over and over again.
Speaker 1:I moved to Texas. Like I said, you become a magnet for things and when you are writing these things and you're feeling into it, the universe is already on it. And I have an example of that and I will get to that in just a second. But the universe is on it. When you pray or you put your desires out there, when you pray or you put your desires out there, things start shifting in your favor. As long as you keep going, as long as you keep up with that momentum, ultimately you will get to where you're going.
Speaker 1:I get to Texas and one really successful real estate agent introduced me to another one, which introduced me to another one, and all of a sudden, I am surrounded with incredible top-selling real estate agents, learning from the best and networking with the best and you know my thoughts on networking Just freaking do it which ultimately led me to the team that I'm currently on. And it's crazy because this team that I'm on, we're a bunch of former law enforcement officers and the and this team is incredible. Like again, I get to learn from the absolute best and I don't take that for granted. And it was so crazy because I used to write that I'm a top selling real estate agent over and over again. And it's so crazy because I used to write that I'm a top selling real estate agent over and over again. It's so funny because our team won top selling real estate team in our brokerage for a couple of times. So I'm just like, okay, cool. You know it wasn't me personally winning, I was helping with that, but it was just so funny because I was like, hey, the universe is like, even if it has to take a little bit of shortcut, you know I'm going to take that win. I'm going to take it because our team got the title. I was like, okay, that's, that's pretty cool Manifestation achieved and I just I took the win.
Speaker 1:Um, then I got into the podcasting space. I got into the podcasting space and again like I know that something big is going to come out of the podcast. I keep meeting these incredible people that do podcasting and are getting picked up with networks left and right. And I know for me personally, if I can see it, I can have it. If I watch somebody else get it. I know that it's coming for me too and I'm going to keep going.
Speaker 1:Don't let shit discourage you when you see other people doing the things that you want to be doing. You have to keep going. Don't get jealous. Jealousy is a low vibration. You can actually completely just fuck up your manifestations with jealousy and low vibrational feelings. Just keep going, be happy for people, show gratitude, because guess what? It's coming for you too. Same with the book. When I hear other people writing these incredible books and have similar stories whether they're military authors, law enforcement authors and their books are bestselling on the New York best time selling list or whatever authors and their books are bestselling on you know, the New York best time selling list or whatever and it like stinks for a second I'm like, oh my gosh, like my book is way better than that. So I I try not to let it get to me. I'm like this is a sign that it's coming for me too. It's coming for me. That manifestation is coming for me. Then came the house.
Speaker 1:I love the little town that I live in. It literally reminds me of the little town I think it's called Stars Hollow. If you watched Gilmore Girls, if you're in nineties, babe, like me, I was a big Gilmore's girl fan. I still watch it to this day and I'm like, did I mean to manifest being a single mom in a small town? I don't know, maybe I did, maybe I fucking did. It hits a little too close to home.
Speaker 1:I live in a very charming little small town here. It's called Bernie, texas. Look it up. Last year we were given the title of a Hallmark movie, set small town. And since then, oh my gosh, like traffic has gone crazy because, like, everybody wants to live here and they want to like visit here. It's it's very, very beautiful. If you're ever in Texas, go visit Bernie Texas, say hi to me too. So I feel like I was kind of kind of crazy, cause I feel like I manifested. I feel like a Gilmore girl, single mom and living in this beautiful small town.
Speaker 1:Anyway, I love it here. It's not I don't want to say expensive, but I hate that word Everything is doable, especially after buying this house. Everything is doable, you just have to ask. But everything was out of my price range. For three or four months that I started to look at houses, I felt like it wasn't going to happen for me. So I started looking outside of Bernie and all the houses I saw outside of Bernie were really cute in my price range. Um, one I actually really did love. But again, like it's not Bernie, it's not my daughter's school, I'd have to relocate her out of her school. I would have to find her another gymnastic studio, another cheer squad, like all the things that she does. Plus, everybody here knows me. I can walk into almost any store or any cafe and know everybody. I love that Again.
Speaker 1:I felt like a Gilmore girl, so I was really sad and I told myself a Gilmore girl. So I was really sad and I and I told myself you know what, maybe this isn't the year. Maybe this isn't the year I buy a house because I don't want to leave this beautiful little small town. I'm just going to renew my lease in my apartment and you know, just wait, maybe next year will be better, maybe I'll double my sales or whatever. Maybe I'll get a book advance. You never know, shit can happen so fast forward. I think it was like two weeks later We'll just say two weeks later, I have no idea.
Speaker 1:It wasn't that long where a house came across my email from a local builder and they just started construction in this small little community in Bernie and I noticed the houses were in the 500 thousands. We'll leave it at that. It wasn't my price range, by the way. I'm a single mom. What do you want from me? And I love this little area and I was like, oh, it's so cute. The houses are here that surround me, by the way, are freaking gorgeous.
Speaker 1:So, long story short, this one house comes across my email and it was like heavily discounted, heavily. I didn't know why and I didn't care. It was brand new. It came with a 10-year home warranty, 6% commission that would go to me because, again, being in real estate has its privileges and its benefits. And it was heavily discounted. I was like I don't know, should I try? Should I try to apply? It's really scary.
Speaker 1:By the way, if you've ever bought a house, going through the mortgage process will leave you feeling very vulnerable and exposed, like I'm talking like bank statements for years and divorce documents and like everything they want to see everything. And also, because I am an entrepreneur, I have to explain every single direct deposit that goes into my account. I have to track it down. I'm talking like addresses and phone numbers and all this other stuff. Like I had to create a spreadsheet to show the loan officer and the loan processor where this money is coming from. I'm not some shady ass drug dealer that just gets money, so I had to show them where all this money came from. So stressful, and there was more on top of that. I'm talking like I cried a lot. I cried a lot, I threw myself into it, anyway. So, backtracking, the house comes across my email. It's really, really cute.
Speaker 1:And that day I picked up my daughter from school and we went over there and I met up with the new construction representative that works the front desk. I was like, hey, I just saw this house. I'm a local agent but I'm also looking to buy for myself. Can we go tour it? I pull up, I am just in shock and I'm in love. It's beautiful. Half the bottom part is stone and the rest of it is black, like shiplap style, barn style, like totally like Chip and Joanna Gaines. That's the house Like. If that's what this house looks like, who built it? It looks like it was built from Chip and Joanna Gaines. I knew I was like this is my house, olivia, and I toured it and I could just picture myself. I, you know, I just pictured my office, our furniture, the backyard is beautiful and I, I pictured ourselves living in it.
Speaker 1:And I went home that night and I just wrote the address several times in my journal. I was like this is my house, this is it, this is it, cause I know from the past, like writing things down for me and feeling it at the same time has always worked. So I'm like hitting my mic. I'm just so excited. Um, that night, again like I start writing things down.
Speaker 1:The next day I get a call from the loan officer and I'm starting to submit documents and it's not looking good. The house is completely out of my price range and interest rates were they are not the best. So my mortgage was going to be too high, according to the loan officer. But again, I mean, I cried a little bit because I really love this house and I was like there's no way I wrote it down in my journal that this house is mine. There's just no freaking way that it's not my house. There's a reason why it came across my email and it's heavily discounted. So, long story short, we got my interest rate down. The builder actually paid for my interest rate to go down. I think interest rates at the time were like mid sixes and they got me down to a 5% paid. They didn't have to do that, but they did. All I had to do was ask. I keep telling myself like this house is mine. The universe wants me to have it. It's going to be mine.
Speaker 1:Second thing, because my how should I put this. My ex-husband obviously is like completely disappeared and we don't really talk, nor is he ever involved. But I had to get him to sign documents saying that like thanks to the good old state of Texas that he would be, you know, helping with childcare and like financially. So I had to get documents from him, which was not easy, not easy. And so got that done. I got everything done. I got spreadsheets done. I was literally every single day for 30 days straight. I was proving to the loan officer I can afford this house, I can afford it. Just give me the freaking loan. They gave me the loan.
Speaker 1:It didn't come without tears and at one point I was crying on my kitchen floor because it wasn't looking like I was going to get the house and I just kept thinking like it doesn't make sense, Like why would I be led to this house? Why would I be? Why? Why do I feel it in my soul, this is my house? It's not working out? I was literally sobbing, trying to figure out my next step. So I was like you know what? Whatever, fuck it, I'll just renew my lease in my rental. But it just kept feeling like this is my house. So I calmed my ass down, pulled out my journal and started writing again, calmed my ass down, pulled out my journal and started writing again. We closed exactly 30 days from the time I toured the house to the time I moved in. It'd been 30 days to the time they gave me the keys. It all worked out. Things were rocky it it didn't look like it was going to happen for me but and I did lose faith at one at one time for an hour I just had to get it out because it was very stressful, but it ultimately worked out.
Speaker 1:I want you guys to know, like, if you have a big goal on your heart, like I love that for you, you need to act on it. Stop asking for the small things. Stop asking for oh, I just wish that I could afford my rent every month. Or I wish that I can just, you know, afford a new car or whatever. Like you're asking, you're asking too little. You're gonna you always make your rent. Start asking I want a mortgage, I want a brand new car, I want my dream car. Go after what you actually want and go all in. Don't have a plan B, don't accept anything that is not that thing that you're ultimately going after. I'm not afraid to ask what I want anymore. If I can see it and I can feel it, I know it's on its way.
Speaker 1:It's so easy for me to manifest. I feel like the house because I work in real estate. So if you are, and like every, every house, I go do an open house, like oh my God, I get to be in these like gorgeous, gorgeous houses, and I just like I do open houses there and I just pretend like it's mine, just kind of where I don't make myself at home or anything. That's really weird. I like go put the clothes on, like other people's clothes on me, and like drink their wine and take a shower. No, I just like pretend the house is mine. And it's a little bit easier because I get to put myself in those situations and I kept thinking like I'm going to have this, this is going to be my life.
Speaker 1:And so for you, if you are trying to manifest a mortgage and get out of your rental, you need to get yourself in those places. I'm not saying become a realtor. Maybe go find a friend who is a realtor. You could throw a rock and hit a realtor. They're everywhere. Um, dm one. Just find a realtor who can get you on the path of homeownership. Just figure it out.
Speaker 1:If you're not ready to buy but you know like you want to buy in a year because you know you have to fix credit, your debt to income ratio is like too high, you need a plan. If you don't have a plan, there's a highly likelihood that you are not gonna get that thing. And this goes for anything. It doesn't matter if you're trying to buy a house. If you don't have a plan, if you don't have something physically written down, there's a good chance it's not going to happen. Think about it when I mean. I don't know about you, but every time I get in the car I type in an address. I'm going to houses all the time. That's my job, right, I'm going to houses, I'm going to networking events and they're all over this freaking state. I sell houses in Austin. I sell houses in San Antonio. I go to networking events in Austin. I go record at the podcasting studio in Austin and that's not close to me. I always have to plug in an address so that I can get to my destination.
Speaker 1:Without you writing your goals down, you don't know which direction to take. I'm not telling you that you need to know the steps and the route. I'm just saying you need to know where the hell you're going. Write it, the fuck down. Get yourself a journal and physically write it. There is power. There is something to be said about a pen or a pencil with paper. It's very powerful versus technology. Don't get me wrong. There's been times where I had to bust out my iPad to take notes. That's fine, but there is something very powerful. There's more feeling involved when you're physically writing it versus texting and typing in on a keyboard. I can't explain it, I feel like, because it comes with that feeling. You need the feeling behind the goal in order to propel you forward, to make that shift in the freaking quantum field. I'm not a freaking physicist, but you can picture it. As you're thinking about it, as you're feeling it, you're putting out the energy. The energy starts moving people and things into your view or just into your life. Right, I mean, you guys are with me. Hopefully. This is making freaking sense, but there needs to be the feeling behind the thought. So getting to why we need to be patient with ourselves and we need to be patient with our manifestations and our goals.
Speaker 1:I almost gave up on being able to buy here in my little cute small town. I did. I was like there's just no fucking way, right, and almost gave up hope until this house came across my feet. There's a reason why it was heavily discounted. The person who originally wanted to buy it, their financing fell through and so they put it back on the market and they discounted it a little bit. Because they're like crap, like they're moving, they're building all these beautiful houses and they're like we need to push inventory. We're already here in the real estate world it's quarter four and I don't know if you know anything about quarter four, but they're trying to push inventory. So they discounted a little bit in hopes to pick up another buyer quickly, and they did. They picked up another buyer, so buyer number two comes in, put Ernst money down and they go under contract with the house and, for whatever reason I don't know, their financing fell through here. I am like that's why they heavily discounted this house and it comes across my email and I buy the house. It had to take months for this house to go through what it went through in order for it to get to me.
Speaker 1:From the time I started trying to actively start to look for a house. This house was already on its way, on a downhill slope, to being heavily discounted. It was around the same time that I started looking at houses. I put myself out there. You know. We started touring houses specifically for me and my daughter, and I did not know. Obviously, you know, I wish I could have made it. I was like I want this, I want this manifestation so bad. I just wish it would just hurt and get to me.
Speaker 1:But things take time and it really does test you. I know. I say the universe, I feel like it doesn't test you. It just takes a long time. You say you want something. You have to stick with it, because sometimes it's going to take a while, because things need to happen in order for it to come to you, in order to move into your vibration. It takes time. This house took time and now it's mine. So just think like if something is taking way too long a job, a house, you know, for me it's like now my next thing is a book deal.
Speaker 1:I decided I don't want to go self-publishing, so now what I am actively trying to do is is a book deal. I decided I don't want to go self-publishing. So now what I'm actively trying to do is manifest a book deal and I know that if it takes time, I'm just going to keep working on the book, I'm going to keep perfecting it, I'm going to keep working on it in myself because I know it's coming. I know it's coming because I want it. That's it. That's. It's not because I'm not worthy or whatever it's. It's literally I'm worthy of every single thing that I want because I am. And that's it Same with you.
Speaker 1:You can have whatever you want. You want a second house, you want a beach house in Bali, you want your sports car, you want a book deal. You want to be a top seller author, like you're worthy of it, because you are, and there's a reason why it's on your heart. You have to keep going and you cannot stop. If you stop, you stop the momentum. You might as well go back to day one. You have to keep going. And don't get me wrong Like I said, like I had my breakdown where I lost faith, that whole freaking hour, but I picked myself back up and I went right to my journal, plain and simple.
Speaker 1:You guys can again like I'll never sell courses. I don't. I just don't think it's me and trust me, like there's some amazing coaches out there and obviously you know I've used coaches and stuff like that too but for me, manifestation is very simple, and when we use it in its simplest form, it seems to work a hell of a lot better. I write, I love to write. When I write, I feel and I think that's why my book is going to do so well because there's a lot of feeling behind what I'm writing about, and yeah, it's what I've experienced in my life but I'm very passionate when I write I always have been and so with that comes the feeling and the emotion behind my manifestations, which I do believe makes things come to me a hell of a lot sooner. Buy a course if you need to buy a course, but if you don't remember, simplicity is the best way.
Speaker 1:Go back to the basics. Start a gratitude journal. Write about the things that you're grateful for. Write about the things that you want, but write about them already being here For me. I used to write letters to myself, my um, like they were from my future self to my self today, and I would talk about all the things that I accomplished and how I got there and how it was so easy and everything just worked out for the best. I still do that. By the way, I don't do it as often I know. When I was in law enforcement, I was doing it a lot because I was in my like law of attraction phase. I mean, it was, it was deep and uh, I still do it. Like once or twice a year, usually at the beginning of the year and then halfway through, and it it works. Just go back to the basics. Take a $8,000 course if you want to, but just know you're doing it, whether you believe in it or not. Okay, you're manifesting everything, like attracts, like blah, blah, blah. We've all read the secret. All right, guys, I hope this podcast made sense.
Speaker 1:I I just had to share about this house. Like I guess I wake up every single morning in it and I'm like I manifested the fuck out of this. There's just no way. This is the most expensive house I've ever bought. It's the prettiest and it's in the prettiest neighborhood and I'm just still in shock that things happen during the transaction that don't normally happen, that I've seen with my other clients, like people moved mountains in order for me to have this house and I have. I have so many people to thank for it too. I know, like I said like, but my mom helps me, my my new construction rep helped, my loan officer helped oh my God, everybody that was just involved in this transaction wanted me to have this house. God wanted me to have this house and it's so perfect. I couldn't have. I couldn't have imagined living anywhere else and, thank God, I get to stay in my cute little small town and my daughter gets to remain at her school, her gymnastics and everything, and I don't know. Like I said, the next thing I am working on is my book deal, so wish me luck and I will keep you guys updated on that.
Speaker 1:Thank you so much for listening to the podcast. Follow me on Instagram, come say hi and rate me, subscribe, do all the things or don't. I don't, I don't care Like, I just have fun doing this. I have more episodes with a lot of guests coming on that I am so excited. The podcast is super international now, and so I want to make sure that I am representing women from all over the world and my newest country that I just the number's really good there is India. I now want somebody just a boss babe from India to just come on this show. So I'll be, I'll be networking for specifically, specifically for the podcast. Anyway, guys, I hope you enjoyed this episode. I will see you next week.
