35. 5 non-negotiable business boundaries every entrepreneur needs
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
If there’s some aspects of biz leaving you feeling a little frazzled, it may because you need to tighten up your boundaries.
Now you know for me, the aim of the game is always life first and establishing your business rules or boundaries enables you to focus on that.
When done well, your biz boundaries not only ensure that you as the CEO remain happy and fulfilled, but also that your clients get the very best version of you and have a much better experience.
Over the years I’ve learned this shit the hard way! I used to be the ‘yes’ girl and the notorious people pleaser but it landed me in awkward situations time and time again. As soon as I got clear on my boundaries, and stuck to them, everything changed.
In this episode I’m sharing with you the 5 things I stay true to, always. And I hope this is the permission slip you need to make some tweaks in your business.
We’ll be covering:
- Your personal capacity to actually be in the business, allowing for everything else in life
- Your availability to do the work and support your clients [this is different to your capacity!]
- Your response and turnaround times, and why you get to control this.
- Your communication process. How does this work specifically?
- The scope of your service. What’s in and what’s out?
