Bart Campolo

Bart Campolo (b. 1963) is an American humanist counselor, speaker, and podcaster. The son of evangelical leader Tony Campolo, Bart began his career in Christian ministry, co-founding the urban service program Mission Year and authoring Kingdom Works. Over time he transitioned from Christianity to secular humanism, a journey chronicled in his joint book with his father, Why I Left, Why I Stayed, and the documentary Leaving My Father’s Faith. In 2014, he became the first Humanist Chaplain at the University of Southern California, where he launched his Humanize Me! podcast and counseling practice, both aimed at helping people pursue meaning and connection in a secular framework. Now based in Cincinnati, Bart continues to write, counsel, and speak worldwide on humanism, community building, and the pursuit of goodness without God.
