Katy Pugh
Katy Pugh attended the very first Camp Quest in the UK and has remained involved ever since, growing from an enthusiastic camper into a volunteer supporting younger participants. Alongside school, a Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, and now real adult life, Camp Quest has been a constant influence in her life.
She credits Camp Quest with giving her the space to explore big ideas, from ethics and philosophy to science and society, while learning to think independently, challenge assumptions, and debate respectfully with others. Through activities from high ropes and creative problem solving to philosophy for children and murder mysteries, Camp Quest helped shape her confidence in her own ideas while remaining open to learning from different perspectives.
Katy joins Humanism Now to reflect on the lasting impact of Camp Quest and to discuss its relaunch, beginning with a family camp taking place over the May Bank Holiday weekend.
