Fish Stark
Fish Stark is the Executive Director of the American Humanist Association. He is an organiser, educator, social entrepreneur, and lifelong humanist who has spent his career turning big ideas into action in service of belonging, flourishing, and social justice.
Previously, Fish led an education technology startup, developing tools to support children’s confidence, mental health, and critical thinking. He previously served as Director of Programs at Peace First, leading international organising teams and partnered with groups including the Red Cross and the Born This Way Foundation.
His wider experience includes managing political campaigns, building youth mentorship and anti-bullying programmes, and teaching students from pre-school to high school. A self-described developmental psychology enthusiast, Fish holds a Master’s in Education from Harvard and a Bachelor’s from Yale. Fish serves on several nonprofit boards and moonlights as an award-winning stand-up comedian.
