FMBGN-Tequila & Taco Tuesday-Marina Cantina-Come For The Bay Views, Stay For The Coconut Shrimp Tacos
Beach breeze, clinking ice, and a plate that refuses to behave—this week we head to the brand-new Marina Cantina Waterfront Tin Tiki at Salty Sam's Marina for a first taste that’s equal parts flavor and view. We go straight for a frozen margarita flight—blackberry, strawberry, mango, and watermelon—built with gold tequila, triple sec, sour mix, agave, and fruit puree. Each glass is light, refreshing, and dangerously easy to love. We break down the balance, the sweetness, and where a salted rim or tequila upgrade might push these drinks from vacation-ready to top-shelf worthy.
For food, we follow our server’s lead and order the coconut shrimp tacos. Crisp coconut crust meets cool slaw, bright pico de gallo, and a mango chipotle drizzle that skews sweet until we add a few hits of hot sauce. The tortillas read like soft street-style and carry a satisfying bite, even if they blur the line between flour and corn. On the side, red beans over rice quietly complete the plate. We talk texture, heat, and the little details that make a handheld worth the napkins, then weigh the $21 price against a front-row bay view and an easygoing vibe that invites one more round.
Across the table, we keep returning to the same idea: value lives in the whole experience. Waterfront dining is about flavor, yes, but also pace, sunshine, and the simple pleasure of watching boats idle by while you drain the last of a frosty glass. Our verdict: this spot is already a solid yes for Fort Myers Beach locals and travelers who want casual tacos, refreshing tequila, and a setting that makes time slow down. Come for the margarita flight, stay for the coconut crunch, and bring your heat if you like your sauce loud.

It's tequila and taco Tuesday time. Here's your host, Cabo Jim.
Cabo Jim:Greetings, my good neighbors. It's time for some sunshine, tequila and tacos on this tequila and taco Tuesday. We're here at the brand new Marina Cantina Waterfront Tin Tiki right here in Salty Sam's Marina. I'm diving into this happy hour to check out some tequila and tacos on this fine Tuesday because honestly, what could be better than sunshine, salty air, and good vibes? They've got an awesome view of the bay, serving up some cold drinks, and for now a limited food menu, though with a good variety, but hey, that just means more room for margaritas, right? So they started things off with some wings, dips, and shrimp. They have a variety of salads, some sandwiches from fish pork and a standard burger. They throw in a case of D and of course, tacos. It is a cantina, right? So I'm excited to get my tequila and taco on with this brand new place here in the bay. So I kicked things off with a margarita flight. That's uh four frozen beauties, blackberry, strawberry, mango, and watermelon. Frozen, of course, and the Florida heat tried to melt them faster than I could drink them, but I gave them my best shot. Each one was mixed uh with a gold tequila, whatever that is, uh triple sec, sour mix, agave, and a splash of fruity puree. They were light, flavorful, super refreshing, like a mini vacation in every sip. Now for the food. They're serving at limited menu, like I talked about. I went with the coconut shrimp at the recommendation of my server. Crispy coconut crusted shrimp, that's a mouthful. Top with koslaw, pica de gallo, and a drizzle of mango chipotle sauce, which is never hot enough for me, so I added some more hot sauce. The first bite was worth actually the not very long wait. Lots of flavor and just what I was craving to have with my margaritas. So one down, one to go. They said flour tortillas, they felt more like corn, soft street taco style, and yeah, a little messy, but you know, as I say, it's okay to fall apart once in a while. Tacos do, and we still love 'em. Just some cabo wabo jim advice on this tequila on taco Tuesday. So the tacos are also served with a side of red beans, uh, over a bed of rice, and of course I couldn't resist adding some more hot sauce once again. Love my hot sauce. Every bite was packed with flavor, and judging by my empty plate and glasses, I'd say I had a pretty good time. And the two coconut shrimp tacos and a s with a side have you know might have been a little overpriced at $21, but the beautiful views, great food, and the splash of sunshine within every sip kind of made up for it. So you can never go wrong with tequila and tacos, and this place is worth checking out. So come on down to the Marina Cantina waterfront tin tiki and salty sam's marina, where there's all it's always tequila time. And until next tequila and taco Tuesday, Mas Tequila.
