A ten dollar margarita that helps pay for fireworks is the kind of Fort Myers Beach idea we can get behind. We’re posted up at Snug Harbor with Jason to map out what’s happening as the island ramps into the local kickoff, starting with a Cinco De Mayo pub crawl vibe in Bayside Park and rolling straight into weekly locals favorites.

We break down the Cinco De Mayo details you actually need, including the 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. window, the bar setup, and the live music slot that turns the afternoon into a proper beach night. Then we dig into the fundraiser angle: featured El Mayor tequila margaritas where half the proceeds go to the Fort Myers Beach fireworks fund, with multiple participating stops including Snug Harbor, Wahoo Willy’s, and SOB’s. If you’ve been searching for Cinco De Mayo Fort Myers Beach plans, this is a simple way to have fun and support a community tradition at the same time.

From there, we shift to the weekly rhythm with Locals Happy Hour every Wednesday, plus live music and shrimp specials that make midweek feel like a mini event. Jason also shares easy wins for regulars, like Snug Harbor hats and a Locals Day perk where wearing your hat gets you a second drink free on us up to eight bucks. We also touch on graduation season and how to book larger parties, including catering options and a rentable tiki space that can fit up to about 50 people.

If you love local businesses, live music, and Fort Myers Beach happy hour specials that give back, hit subscribe, share this with a friend coming to the island, and leave us a review so more good neighbors can find the show.

Yeah, absolutely. I mean, we've got specials, we've got the local uh kickoff here. Uh the start of it will be uh actually coming up on Cinco de Mayo. So that'll be our kickoff for uh this season. We'll have our Cinco de Mayo little pub crawl going on. Right. So that's gonna be uh on Cinco de Mayo in Bayside Park. So from 11 o'clock till 9 p.m., we're gonna have Jacob Ladder there. We're gonna be live playing from about five o'clock till eight o'clock. Uh so bring your friends. Uh we'll have the bar set up out there again. Uh, we're gonna have our El Mayor, tequila, margarita features. Yep, yep. Oh, that's right. Yes, you did. Yes, you did. Uh, so what we're gonna do is we're doing a special on those. We're gonna do uh ten dollar margaritas out there, but we're gonna take half of those proceeds and we're gonna donate them to the uh fireworks fund. Nice. So, yeah, so that way we can have a really nice fireworks down there and help support. Um you can do that at uh Snug Harbor, Wahoo Willy's, and SOB's. So either of those uh places you can stop in, you can get a margarita there with El Mayor. All right, and then those proceeds, half of those will be donated. So that's really cool that we'll be doing that.

"Cabo" Jim

Um and you have the locals happy hours coming up, yeah.

Jason Jakaitis

So we've got locals happy hour, that's gonna be every Wednesday. We're going to extend that. Usually we stop once season ends, but we're gonna extend that just depending on how the locals react. If it takes on, uh right now we've got it booked through June. Um if everything goes well, we'll do July as well. We've got some really good specials going on with our shrimp. So we've got shrimp specials. So everything on the menu with shrimp will do at a special price there. So come on in, check us out. Live music on Wednesdays. We'll have hats for sale. $15 for a hat, two for $25. You wear that on Locals Day. You come in, you get your second drink for free on us, up to eight bucks. So come on in, hang out with us, listen to some good music on Wednesday, get a snug hat or snug shirt, anything like that. Right, yeah, and come back in and uh come drink right to Keila and have some tacos.

"Cabo" Jim
